"Great for the price"
We checked other reviews on different sites before booking this hotel and they were pretty positive. The hotel was different than we expected. It's an odd little set up as the hotel takes up just part of an old building on a couple of floors. Feels a bit cramped but the rooms themselves are decent (probably bigger) size compared to other European hotels. […] The beds were really firm but still comfortable. The shower was nice except when there was no hot water during the morning rush. The breakfast was pretty good (standard European fare of deli meat, cheese, bread, & pastries). Really the staff was the best part of the hotel. Betta, who owns the place, goes out of her way to make sure you are comfortable and see to any of your touring needs. The other staff was also very kind and helpful. The location is a bit further walk than we expected but still a good location and we walked to everything we wanted to see. "My home in Firenze forever!!"
This is an outstanding place!! It is family operated and we felt welcomed since the first time we got there. Like many hotels in Italy, it is located in a shared building and the elevator is old, but all the problems finished there. Beta (the owner) treated us like a real mamma as we got to the reception. We've never felt so welcomed and we've been […] to 100+ hotels in Europe and America. About the hotel itself... it has a good location (5 mins from SMN station), no issues with the wi-fi, very good breakfast and the room was spacious and modern. So, it was a great deal and I will obviously try to stay there everytime we go back to Firenze. Beta, thank you for everything! Hope to see you again soon! "Genuine Florentine Hospitality"

We love Elisabeta Nae, the hostess of this B & B. We followed her from her old B & B into her newest endeavor Marbo Florence. This is the fifth time we have stayed with her, and to us she IS Florence! A splendid hostess, she goes the extra mile (kilometer) in every way. The rooms are all newly rennovated and very comfortable. The breakfast is great with good variety and her special good morning. She always wants to know your plans for the day and makes certain you know the correct buses to take. The location is excellent--right by the train station, just steps from the old city center.
"Wonderful B&B with a wonderful host"

Beta, the owner of the B&B was wonderful. She speaks cute English with an Italian accent. She always kept us good company at breakfast. She worked really hard to make me comfortable. She even arranged museum reservations for me so I didn't have to wait in-line. I totally felt like I was at home. The WiFi was occasionally inaccessible from my room. Breakfast was always good but there were no non-pork (chicken, turkey or beef) meat options available. It would have been better to have alternative meat choices for those who don't eat pork because of religious or dietary reasons. Despite these minor issues I believe that it is a great place for your value. I will definitely stay there again and I highly recommend it.

I honestly don't know how can people write such great reviews about this place while our experience there at the same time was an entirely different one. I traveled with my wife and my son and we are not the pickiest people in the world! The only positive thing I can mention was the size of the room and the really friendly (male)receptionist. The room was really big, but has obviously not been cleaned in an appropriate manner since the first thing we found upon arrival was a half full glass of old orange juice. The real shocker was the floor in the bathroom which was full of hairs from the previous guests and completely covered in yellow urine-stains on the toilet and the floor around it . The fact that these stains where already brownish and dried up is a clear indication that the bathroom has never been properly cleaned. The toothbrush-holder was disgustingly white from inside and outside. It is quite astonishing that in the 21th century places which such a low or actually no standard of hygiene are allowed to open and stay open for business. The next joke, and it really was a joke, was breakfast. We are not great eaters in the morning but what was presented to us in the tiny and again quite dirty breakfast-room, was a breakfast without coffee, with old bread and a completely incapable waitress. Since there was no coffee we asked for black tea (which we could see in a teabox on the counter) and got 3 times a instant-cacao mixture. Since we speak 4 languages perfectly one would assume that we would be able to explain that this is not what we ordered but the waitress did obviously not understand us or didn't want to understand us. We don't expect anybody to speak English or in our mother-tongue to us but we kind of expect that someone who works in tourism has a basic vocabulary-knowledge pertaining to food. Since our reclamation was just answered with unfriendliness and rolling eyes we just left and skipped breakfast the next day. Assuming that the same person also cleans the rooms.....it makes all perfect sense.
"Best ever! Friendly, convenient and with a fun elevator!"

We only stayed one night, but Betta did everything possible to make sure it was extra special and that we had everything we needed. The hotel is located within very easy walking distance of the train station and some nice restaurants. Our room was very quiet and efficient. When I return to Florence, this is where I will stay!

This B&B is great, and especially the people! They were so sweet and helpful! The rooms are very good, modern and most important clean. Also, the location is very good. And Breakfast is very good as normally you only get a croissant in Italy. I will definitely come back;) Thank you!

It took us about 5-8 minutes to find the place, the building is in front of a bus stop. The owner was very friendly, and spoke pretty good English, she was even kind enough to mark out routes on our map and tells us which bus number will take us to certain places. The rooms were clean and spacious, and modern looking also. We were worried about parking in the area, so we emailed the place to let them know we were driving, the owner has some type of deal with one of the parking garages about 90-100 meters from the hotel for only 25 Euros for 24 hours, and if the garage is full all you have to do is mention that you stay at the Marbo B&B and they'll accommodate you. Almost everything was within walking distance from the hotel, and it wasn't hard at all and we were travelling with 2 children and a 2 month old baby. Definitely recommend this place, the price wasn't bad either.

We stayed 1 night in marbo b&b. At first it was quite hard to locate the building. The exterior of the building is old and there is a small sign at the entrance. Marbo is located at the 2nd storey. We were warmly welcomed by one of the brothers. The rooms we had were big and cosy. Everything is new as this b&b opened only in march. The rooms and toilets are spacious and very clean. There is free wifi too. Hotel location is of walking distance to Duomo, train station, small supermarket and restaurants. Very convenient!
"Nice modern accomodation"
07/14/13 Andrea J Prague, Czech Republic
This place was nice with modern comfortable rooms and nice staff. But its made from old flats so its situated in old building with no signs so its quite hard to find. Also the walls are thin so you can hear everything. Breakfast was ok but quite poor. But they dont have parking place and its almost imposible to park around! And also you cant park in centre at all even so on white lines and yellow ones only the blue are possible but expensive and always full and if you have some bigger car all the expensive garages are too small for you. In general Florence is an expensive place for what it offers...
"New and growing"
05/29/13 Matteo-Adriana Rome, Lazio, Italy
I must say the outside of the b&b does not match the inside... Located in a old building, the Marbò is finely furnished in a modern style. All rooms are clean and cleaned everyday (not all b&b do that). The location is perfect to move around in Florence and also for having visits outside town. At our arrival we have been welcomed warmly by the family (mainly the two brothers) running the b&b, ready to take care of all your needs and question, also showing us where to go and what to see. Contrary to what we read, we found the breakfast filling and satisfying with assorted fresh Italian croissant, some juice, milk, cereal, coffees etc. We really enjoyed our stay and I rate this place 4/5 just because is growing and I'm sure next time we'll go there it's going to be a 5/5!! Good job guys, keep up the good work ;)
