"Good for family of 4 visiting Paris"
This is a good 2-BR apartment for a family of 4 visiting Paris. The furnishings are modern albeit minimal and the apartment is clean and comfortable. There is no daily housekeeping but the apartment has a washing machine. The apartment is located in a good neighborhood with convenient bars, stores, and restaurants, and is conveniently next to the Bastille […] Metro stop. On one or two nights there was loud noise in the street below the rear of the apartment with the windows wide open but this was not a major problem. The apartment was a good base for our touristing. Would stay here again although next time in Paris we will probably want to experience a new neighborhood. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Small rooms, but would stay there again."

Great location, would choose it again. The rooms are very small (I have previously stayed in two other hotels in Paris that had larger rooms), but the room was clean, bed was soft and the modern decor was nice. The pictures of the hotel rooms on the website, make the rooms look larger then they are, but we did not spend much time in the rooms. Wifi access is spotty. Good breakfast. Close to the metro with a nice neighborhood atmosphere in a very safe part of town. There is a park just around the corner which would be great if you brought kids to have a little area to run around in. Staff was helpful. Although they arranged for an airport shuttle and we were not notified until the last minute that only cash was accepted (I did not have enough Euros ) No time to change $ into Euros and we ended up taking a taxi that took credit cards, about double the cost, would have been nice to know beforehand :)
"Great value, great location, small room"

This hotel, in a very old building just off the Place des Vosges, is great. Its good value but even better location. It is right in the heart of the Marais a short distance from St Paul metro. Quiet, clean - the room was small but with the possible exception of a fridge it missed nothing. We loved it

The best thing about this hotel is the location, in the heart of the Marais, which is very neighborhood-y and a bit less touristy. Lots of restaurants and boulangeries and cafes. Also, a short walk (about 5 minutes) to the Metro lines 1 or 5, which between them connect to pretty much every other line enabling you to get around Paris very easily. Rooms were pretty small, and the street-facing ones can be noisy. When we checked in we asked for a quiet room, and were given a street-facing room. It was extremely noisy. Also very small. While typical of many hotels in the center of Paris, this was about as small as it gets - just enough room to walk around the bed and fit into the bathroom. Size of the room aside (which we expected), the noise was too much so we asked if there was a quieter room. We were fortunate there was an interior courtyard room. "Courtyard" does not mean views - it's all interior walls and no view whatsoever, but it was very quiet. If ta quiet room is important to you, request a courtyard room. And as it happened, that room and bathroom were slightly larger. Not large by U.S. hotel room standards, but at least there was room to move around. See pics - one is of the smaller room and one of the larger one. Beds were comfortable. There was free in-room wi-fi. Toiletries only included soap and shower gel. No shampoo. Hair dryer was very low wattage and the type you have to hold your finger on the button the whole time. Not a huge deal for most, but if you have long hair as I do, it can take a long time. Front desk was staffed 24-7 so there was always someone there, but they were pretty much the only staff. They were friendly and tried to be helpful, though when we asked for recommendations of vegetarian restaurants they knew of none - a quick internet search revealed a bunch in the Marais, near the hotel. No ice buckets were available. They brought up a cereal-sized bowl of ice. Our room could have been cleaner. There was a significant hole (just a little smaller than tennis-ball-sized) in the wall, and there was black mold in the shower. We told the receptionist right away, though since we were there just 2 nights it was not fixed during our stay. I did receive an email from a manager within about a week after returning telling me things were fixed. While it's great they fixed it promptly after being alerted, the housekeeping staff should have told them about the hole, and they should have been keeping up with shower cleaning to not let it get moldy. They do offer breakfast but we did not eat there since there is a boulangerie right next door. I thought the place was a bit pricey, but on the other hand with the taxes in Paris you may be hard-pressed to find accommodations for much less, at least, with the good location.

Nice Hotel, in a fascinating building. The location is excellent, with lots of stores, bars, restaurant nearby. Our room was nicely decorated but really small, but I think this is quite common in Paris.

very good location for sights, museums and restaurants, rooms are on the small side (but no smaller than paris average) but were very nice/modern, staff were very helpful, all in all - good value and recommended.

Le Marais is a lovely district in Paris, Location was perfect to get around, I loved the side streets, lots of good cafes surrounding the hotel. Room was clean, beds comfortable, price of hotel was very reasonable compared to other hotels. We did not have breakfast as we were more than happy to leave hotel for the day and discover cafes, a few hit and misses and obviously tourist areas very expensive for coffee/tea 9euro I paid for a tiny cup of not so good coffee. We took on/off open bus tour around Paris it was a great way to see all the beautiful buildings and sights. I would not hesitate to visit this hotel again.
"Great hotel, very reasonable"

This small, historic hotel is located in the heart of Marai, a great district in Paris. The location is perfect for access to the lively, quaint area- and not far from all Paris activities. It is decorated very nicely. The staff is there 24/7 and fairly helpful. Breakfast is extra, and could be more complete. It is what we would call a continental breakfast in the US. Rooms are small, but adequate. I was very comfortable and would definitely stay here again.
"Best location and good value"

In the heart of Le Marais a few minutes from the st Micheal metro which is a good connection to most parts of Paris. We chose this hotel on location and price and it exceeded our expectations. We loved the restaurants, shops and general buzz of the lively Le Marais area. You are paying for the room only as there are no other facilities at the hotel! It is very old so consequently the rooms are small/compact. They were clean and contemporary styled. I think the top 2 floors may be a new edition so could be worth requesting. There is a small lift which takes you up the middle of the ancient staircase, important if you aren't good on stairs as there are about 6 floors. We had no view from our window, it looked at other walls, but we had requested a quiet room -and it was, there was no noise from the street. Each morning we tried a different local cafe for breakfast they were all good. Our first evening we asked hotel staff for a recommendation where to eat - how could she not have known a hundred better restaurants than those she suggested? we chose for ourselves after that! Other staff members were helpful when we needed a taxi or travel information.

Wonderful location a few minutes walk from the Metro, from the river and from the gardens and a few minutes only from very good restaurants. Easy walking to most attractions. The staff were helpful and always available. The room was small, as expected in Paris, but the room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. Would stay there again
