Score breakdown (from 3 reviews)
We have lived three years in Thailand so know the country well and this hotel is simply the best place we have been.
During the stay we had a slight electricity cut in the neighborhood and the staff did their best to reduce the inconvenience like lighting our room and common areas with dozens of candles which gave the place a very romantic atmosphere. They offered to move us to another hotel but we decided to stay as we really liked it so much. They then upgraded us to the beautiful room by the pool area which was more exposed to the night breeze and therefore more comfortable without electricity. We were alone in the resort and had it for ourselves too enjoy for example a midnight swim in the infinity pool under the stars and the crashing surf below. The breakfast were of very good quality with one of the best coffees and croissants I had in Thailand. The 180 degrees view from a hill overlooking the sea is simply stunning! Location is good as not far from the main beaches of Phuket. We would definitely recommend this place for couples on a honeymoon and wanting to be pampered like never before.

The view from the hotel is perfect. The hotel itself has a Thai-home feel to it and is very relaxing and quiet. The food and drinks were of a high standard and the staff are absolutely lovely and very helpful and polite.
Would recommend and will be staying again!
Fantastic service, rooms, diner, view. What more can you dream off?!
Everybody was so happy and relaxed, Just amazing how we enjoyed our holiday here.
We are definitely coming back next ter to this dreamhouse up the Mountain!
I have been to many places but this one deserves its 5 star rating. Small boutique Villa hotel with only 8 rooms - each is a king sized suite with gigantic bathrooms with full sized soaking tub, his and her sinks, standing shower and walkin closets! Beautifully designed it makes you feel like you stepped into real life paradise away from all the hustle of Phuket. Located on the very top of a steep hill it offers incredible views from very room. It's amazing!!! It's my second day here and I'm in complete awe. Wow. So lucky I have found this place... See pics!!!
Just spent a fabulous weekend with friends at this villa. Stunning views (even in rainy season), great rooms, striking decor and the staff really went out of their way to be helpful when we had some glitches that were no fault of theirs. Strongly recommend this place for a bigger group / a couple of families together with kids over toddler age.
I recently had the privilege of staying at this villa for a long weekend. When I first read all the reviews, I was a little sceptical that it was as good as it's made out to be. I can safely say without doubt it's one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. Here's why...
We booked a taxi from the airport through the manager Nadia and immediately I knew I made a good choice. She called to confirm all the details and seemed really genuine and happy to have us visit. The cab was a little late to arrive at the airport but we didn't have to wait too long. It didn't take long to get to Surin (about 30 minutes) and I understood why they sent a 4WD as the hill from the main road up to the villa is so steep it's comical!
We were the only guests on the first night and had the place all to ourselves. Nadia took us around first and helped us settle in before we relaxed by the pool and took in some of the best views I've seen in a long time. The pool area has a large day bed and plenty of loungers but not a lot of shade when it gets hot. Which it does.
We booked a deluxe room, which had a large bathroom and balcony. It had all the usual amenities but if I was to fault anything it was that the bed was way too soft. I struggled to get a good nights sleep throughout the stay. On the first night, just after dusk, swarms of flying termites appeared which terrified my girlfriend. They are harmless things that die after a few hours but the sheer numbers of them are quite a sight. Then the frogs came out to feast, at which stage she reached a whole new level of fear.....we had to stay in the room for a while until the coast was clear and the staff had swept up the millions of wings. They are harmless things that die after a few hours but the sheer numbers of them are quite a sight so be prepared. They didn't appear again the rest of the trip.
Service throughout was excellent. Each morning our breakfast was ready on the pool deck (360 baht each) which consisted of fresh fruits, croissant, bread, omelette, cold cuts, yoghurt, orange juice and tea/coffee. We were often out of the hotel for meals but on the last night we stayed for candlelit dinner (we were the only ones there) and ordered Thai food from the small but fairly comprehensive menu. Honestly, the food was excellent. I live in Bangkok and have eaten plenty of good food - this was as good if not better than some restaurants. It's pricey though, our food and drink bill at the end of the stay cost almost as much as the room! There are a few places down the hill on the main road much cheaper but the food at the villa is good quality and worth it. Nice wine list too.
We hired a motorbike during the stay and at 350 baht per day it was well worth it. We drove in to Patong (about 30 mins) and down to Surin beach (about 5 mins) a few times and I suggest to hire either a bike or car if you're staying a few days. Nadia helped organise this and just handed the keys over and took it back for us. Another example of the great service you can expect.
Thanks to everyone there for making our stay so memorable. We'll be back again!
Came for a long weekend looking for a few carefree days, and got it.
Arrived midnight exhausted from the the red-eye flight. First time in Phuket, a bit apprehensive, heard stories of being ripped off by taxi, vendor, etc. The villa arranged everything: Smooth sailing from the moment we landed to the time we flew home. Transport waiting at the airport. Manager waited up to greet us. Shown to a beautiful room. Extra bed for my seven year old already set up. First morning, woke up to a beautiful view from the room. Had breakfast by the pool. Beautiful view from our table. Wonderful food (the chef take requests outside of the menu, but do clarify the price before hand to avoid any surprises.) Attentive service. Swam in the infinity pool. Took lunch in the same spot. Swam some more. Got a massage. Had a few drinks under the pagoda. Had dinner and watched the sunset. Played cards and listen to music back in the room. ... never left the villa. Repeat for three more days. Completely forgotten about work! Next time, we will venture out a bit more :-)
We recently stayed at Villa Baan phu prana. It was fantastic! The room was beautiful with an amazing view overlooking surin beach & I think bang Tao beach. Sunset from the rooftop is breathtaking! Katherine & the staff are lovely, very helpful with planning things like hire cars, dinners, massages and day trips. Katherine also booked us special tables at Nikki Beach to celebrate my birthday (definitely recommend this for a sunday!) we had the best time at villa Baan phu prana and didn't want to leave! Sadly were both back at work today :(
We stayed here for 5 nights as a mini holiday on our way back to Australia from a trip to the UK. It was complete perfection. The service was impeccable, Catherine and Ma who were our beautiful hostess and housekeeper couldn't have made us feel more welcome. They assisted us with everything possible - even organising a boat trip to the islands for us and giving us fantastic tourism advice. Our room was cleaned every day to the best standards, the food was exquisite and all the staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. The location of the hotel was wonderful- just close enough to enjoy the wonders of Surin but far enough away to allow for some peace and relaxation. Perfect place for couples who want to get away from it all but also be able to enjoy the excitement of Phuket as well. We couldn't have asked for more at our stay at Baan Phu Prana Boutique Villa. Thank you Catherine and Ma! We will be back soon we hope!
Keeping it short and sweet in this review.

- breakfast yummie
Without a doubt coming back here!
This is an absolutely stunning boutique property. The place is nicely designed and adorned with a beautiful collection of paintings and art pieces. Rooms are tastefully furnished, well-kept, and super clean. But the best part of the villa is the rooftop pool and common area. Wow! The design and views were made for pictures! Over three days, we fell into complete relaxation as we lounged by the pool and enjoyed the peace of the area. We had lunch at the villa on the first day and decided to stick to it everyday. Kudos to the chef, Ning. She cooked us some of the best Thai flavors we've had. The manager, Mar, was lovely as well and helped us numerous times a day with a big friendly smile. Seriously, the entire villa staff - including the owner Catherine - will make every effort to cater to you and make your stay great.
The villa only has 5-6 rooms and about half were occupied while we were there. Most times, we felt like we were the only ones in the villa. As for location, the villa is an 8 minute car ride or 15 minute walk to the beach. Not far at all, but the villa is on a very steep hill that makes the walk up a HUGE workout. We did it once and didn't try again. The staff will drive you up and down whenever they can, or they'll call you a taxi that costs about 200 baht each way. Bit pricey for such a short ride, but we actually didn't venture out much. The villa had everything we needed - food, drinks, massages - at very reasonable prices.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would recommend this villa to visitors looking to unwind and relax in peace. The villa is also great for large groups if you want to rent out all six rooms. We'll be back!
