By the time the resort fee (ha!) and parking fee were added on, this was a more expensive stay than expected. Closet was funky but it might have been more enjoyable in warmer weather. I probably won't stay there again because of what I think was weak wireless. I couldn't access my office emailGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Loved it! The staff is great and it will be the only place l stay in Hollywood.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Charming little place"
Was in West Hollywood for a show at the Roxy which was within walking distance of this cute little bungalow. Not much for in room amenities and could stand to upgrade furniture. However, it does have it's charm and it's in a great location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A place to rest"
It was good. Is a simple place to rest in a good area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great room great price great service"
I loved how they treated us, they had an amazing attitude the soon was real nice and clean and comfortable close to the weho nightlife I would so recommend it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"a wonderful spot with afew imperfections"
I came to this hotel to escape my family house and problems and upon arriving they were very friendly and accommodating and upgraded me from a single room to a suite, which made my stay that much better. Yes, there were afew things that could be improved, like the decorations in the room, lack of color, not the highest quality sheets, but at the same […] time I enjoyed myself and saw this place as an oasis and some of my comments are personal taste. "Once was enough"
Definitely not above a 2.9 star resort. Have to pass the reception area to enter and leave, where the desk attendant, and others, are ALWAYS smoking-up a storm, which you have to pass through. The blankets seemed musty and the bathroom, which was a converted closet, was small, with sloppy caulking plastered all over the place.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Loved this place! Highly recommend if you like places which are old and unique. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again. Only negative is the flooring. New carpet or flooring is needed. Otherwise, nice stay!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Love the 'old Hollywood' feel"
The charm of bungalows is also the age of the establishment, so stairs are a little creaky, the rooms are eccentric in shape, not your standard rectangle with the bathroom inside the hallway door. Each room has it's own character, plus ours had a vintage deco chaise lounge, which made the trip! I wish we had more time to lounge in the pool area, which […] was very lush, a little campy, but very 'old Hollywood'. Parking was easy, coffee and croissants were light but, enough in the morning. "Old World Charm Needing Some Updates"
I stayed in both a suite and a room with a shared bathroom while in-between apartments. The hotel and suite were decorated in good taste and overall San Vicente Bungalows presents itself as a charming urban oasis with bungalows, trellises, and gardens circling a warm pool. Unfortunately the rooms were poorly insulated, lacked central heating and were […] a bit dirty (discovered a former guest's sock and beer bottle cap in the suite). Standing heaters are provided in suite and in the shared bathrooms but are insufficient. I ended up getting sick, and to be fair did not ring the desk about a standing heater for my bedroom on the second night but I was feeling to sick/cold to get out of the covers and without better insulation it was going to be rough. However, the hotel staff were all lovely - always accommodating and friendly and points to the Bungalows for being an affordable, dog-friendly hotel with a great ambience. Three stars given because that old world charm was too difficult to weather! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
It was terrible.... As I booked a king suite, And, When I got there it was not available anymore, & it had only been about 40 mins., after booking. The only room they had available was a small standard room that didn't even have a bathroom in it. I had to use a shared bathroom, Not cool at all.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"don't do it"
I had to pay 70 more dollars to have a room to ourselves. Got charged for parking also and had to give them or keys. When booking this hotel, it's for a shared bathroom. Will not stay here ever again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Horrible. I have stayed in flea bag hotels as a kid on a budget across country in dusty little towns, but would never expect this in W Hollywood or Bev Hills. Exterior courtyard and pool quaint and nice but room appearance on web is very deceiving.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good in a pinch!"
It was good in a pinch. You just have to be mindful that some of the room have shared bathrooms. the rooms can be drafty from the gaps under and around the doors. The doors and the way they lock don't seem very secure, but I didn't have any problems. I made it work. I'd stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect sanctuary in the middle of Hollywood !"
Beautiful private sanctuary in the middle of west Hollywood! Id give this bungalow an easy 4+ stars! Rachel and Jeff were lovely to us. Always there when we needed them an even gave us a late check out so we could freshen up before our flight back home to Australia. Was very much appreciated. So helpful. We wish we could have stayed longer! Pool was […] beautiful and perfectly heated. Great location and very relaxing ! Thanks guys! We will be back! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
we LOVED this place and can't wait to come back! the staff was friendly, can't beat the location, and the environment and grounds are beautiful, romantic, and cozy. thanks for a great stay!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I really enjoyed our stay. I like the appearence of the hotel. Two suggestions i have are maintain the cleanliness inside the rooms. Our tile in the shower was moldy and the paint around the room need some touching up. Loved the location and staff were helpfulGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Cute and cheap"
location for WEHO is great, parking tight, very cute old bungalow homes grouped together, really cute courtyard, very friendly desk, room floor clean, linens clean (smells like bleach) bed area could really use some cleaning and shower too. Would I stay here again to save $60, sure.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I heard the place was being remodeled. Leave the courtyard alone! Rooms still need some updating and consider bath mats. Overall loved the place and will return soon.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"You get what you pay for"
The San Vincente Bungalows has some work to do but the staff and management seem determined to improve and that's great. I booked a cheap room with a shared bathroom. The condition of the room was below the standards I used to experience as a teenager staying in hostels while backpacking through Europe. Easy fix though, some paint and some minor upgrades […] along with better attention to the cleanliness of the room would solve the issue. Invest in a better bed would be my strongest advice. I imagine that the more expensive rooms are in better shape but I'm still hesitant to recommend the hotel to anyone reading this review. Then again, don't take my word for it - read a few more reviews. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

This was my second stay. Was upgraded to a private bath room which is much nicer than the others. Really starting to love tbks place. Super close to all the night life. Parking situation not the best so arrive early.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Perfect location for WeHO"
takes a long time to get hot water if you ever get it, and since CA is in a drought its feels strange to run the water for 5+min just to take warm shower. The room also was super clean but it was decent. Best thing about the hotel is the location and the pool.Genuine Expedia guest review
"What you see is what you get"
The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The pool area is delightful. The room was a bit stuffy ( Suite S - the room nearest the street side). The bed was okay as far as comfort. The linens were clean. Its a very basic, no frills type room. No phone. This place is wrangling of converted homes. You can't beat the price. I'd definitely stay […] again but I'd ask for a different room - one near the pool. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Unique property, great WeHo/Sunset location"
We were looking for somewhere close by to stay after a show on Sunset. The location here was great for that, just a few minutes away. Also prefer smaller non-chain properties, and this fit the bill. Unique property with lots of community space arranged on multiple deck levels around the pool - areas for large groups, nut also more private nooks. We […] were quite late checking in (bad traffic so we checked in after the show instead of before) but staff was very accommodating, friendly, and efficient. Didn't know the history of this place before arriving - apparently only this year did they start allowing women and require clothing :) Still gay-friendly, but very straight-friendly as well. We understand the historic property is going to be up for updating/renovations. We also understand new owners are evolving the market strategy for the property. On these notes, the stay was fine. We would not go back until improvements to the property are implimented though. Hopefully the prices will not rise excessively once renovations are completed. […] The stay was fine. "Trippiest Hotel Ever..."
Hotel is a really cool, trippy property. You gotta go with it!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The patio was beautiful, furniture very comfortable and the ambiance was totally relaxing. The pool was clean and nice and warm. The staff was fantastic and always there to assist in any way. "Hardest review I've ever written haha"
So the existing reviews paint a pretty good picture, and I don't have a ton to add. Charming property but Spartan rooms. You have to overlook the cheap shower stall (I paid extra to have my own bath), the fact that there is no place to set your stuff in the bathroom, the lower-end mattress, and embrace the sheer unique-ness of the place. The added 'resort […] fee and parking charge' (another twenty five bucks) was annoying, making it a pretty expensive stay, even for the area. But, having said all that, the place is so darn charming that I'll probably stay again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel just off the strip"
This wasn't the fanciest place, but the staff was friendly, the bedding was clean, and the location was on point! The good: The check in was easy, staff was very accommodating/professional, lots of coffee available in the morning, check out was easy, the room was secure, instead of charging me for two parking spaces they provided me a guest pass. The […] not so good: We had a fridge in our room but I had to pull it completely out of the encasement in order to get it plugged in. It was not plugged in when I arrived. I found trash from prior guests in our cabinets. The shower didn't feel clean to me, so I wore sandals in there. We had no curtain on our bathroom window so I had to use a towel to prevent the neighbors from getting a full monty type view. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Wasn't quite sure what to think...parking was insane, I had to circle the block a few time to figure it out. Hotel looks like just a bunch of houses so it's very hard to find. Shared bathroom was gross, one toilet and one shower..for three rooms. Room was just ok, at least it had a sink. The rate you see on here is not what you pay, they tacked on an […] additional $20 in fees. Only plus was the location. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"close to everything and not comfortable."
I have stayed at San Vicente before, years ago, and I assumed that they would have upgraded their rooms in twelve years. I was dissapointed. Do not expect comfortable beds and blankets, the towels are very flimsy and old, and stained/aged. The rooms have TV and DVD players without a remote controls. The staff are okay, but not very knowlegable about […] there surrounding neighborhood. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Best place I've stayed in LA"
People were awesome; both patrons and staff. This is an intimate and pretty boutique hotel in the heart of West Hollywood. They allowed me to stay despite having two dogs. This and the great neighborhood, fine parking and access to everything because of the location made this, my second relocation, here so much easier and enjoyable. Thanks SVI!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Pleasant escape in the city"
We enjoyed the relaxed bungalow vibe and close to good restaurantsGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The bungalows were so sweet and clean and lovely. The staff were really friendly. So were the other guests. The location was absolutely perfect for west Hollywood and Beverly Hills. Will definitely stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Their listing said free parking and internet but the hotel charged $25 for those services. Ok thats annoying but whatever. Then I get home and see I was also charged $63.24 on top of the cost of the room as well. The parking is a mess too, they just move your car around throughout the night and cram it in on various sidewalks.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"fun and affordable."
It has become way more family oriented so the old vibe and stigma if you will, has almost completely dissolved. It's clean, quaint, close to the major attractions of West Hollywood, and a great rate!Genuine Expedia guest review
Cheapest place (shared bathroom) you can find near the beverly center yet it's clean & cozy... accessible to the public transportation (bus stop is in the corner of San Vicente & Sta Monica fare is $1.50)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Stripped Away the Gay"
This was once a gay hotel, but in an effort to "clean it up," because apparently we are dirty, it has become just another boutique hotel in Hollywood. It is nice and quaint, just not what it was once.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not your typical hotel!"
Very helpful staff. Pool nudity was fun but families may not be comfortable here though I was certainly. Friendly people but know this hotel caters to the LGBT crowd and people in West Hollywood expect to be open in their behavior. I loved this place and met a lot of really nice folks.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
They try to add on unnecessary charges and the place os filthy. They should bulldoze the place to the ground and fire Jocenito the manager. He can not deliver any information and has the staff who speak minimal English do this.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The location is great. Coffee shops, supermarket and restaurants are walking distance from the inn. Parking is tight, but not much of a problem since one can walk to get to things at the spur of the moment. Also, the surrounding neighborhoods are lovely for a morning stroll. I was greeted courteously at the front desk and taken to my room (4N). The […] inn is a group of bungelous and my room was set on the street. Surprisingly, the traffic noise was very low. But the rest of the room was in very poor maintenance. The overhead fan was filthy! It had never been dusted. The whole room is painted in flat white paint (including the bed and end tables). The walls had stains coming through the paint and in the bathroom, condensation marks running down the walls looked terrible! Note: One coat of flat white paint reveals everything including marks around the toilet. I only can assume my room hasn't been updated with the rest of the complex. The pool area is very nice and tried to enjoy that as much as I can. The clientele seemed part business and part European which was nice. Overall, the Inn has potential and I would come again if I was assured that the rooms had two better level upgrades. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"A little neighborhood gem"
We needed to find a hotel room last minute near West Hollywood for a friend. Every hotel was booked from downtown to Santa Monica. One block away from our home, we had always wondered about the bungalows. We searched and found that they had one room left. Our guest loved his stay, loved the people he met and said his experience overall was fantastic. […] He said he would stay there again in a heartbeat. The staff was kind, courteous and helpful. "the bathroom is down the hall"
One important point to know ahead of time ( and Holtels.com did not inform me about) is that the San Vicente Inn does not have one bathroom per room. My bathroom was down the hall and I had to share it with three other rooms.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
cool funky, loved it. Only problem is when at 2 am an intoxicated guest in the room sharing my bath came back yelling and hooting. I thought he was in my room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
