Very cozy place. Room 23 was great, awesome view and the fireplace was a nice touch. Coffee on the patio in the morning is something I won't forget. And the front office staff was incredibly friendly, and she definitely made us feel special on our anniversary. Free shuttle to all the restaurants so we could get our drank on...sweet! Professional, fun and most accommodating staff ever, plus a fabulous breakfast (7:30-10:30) and wine tastings each afternoon. Really hated to leave this charming place.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Can't wait to come back!!"
It was a first time stay for my fiance and I. We absolutely fell IN LOVE with Wine Country Inn! Emma checked us in and was sweet, fun, and always went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of. We met the owner, Jim, at one of their complimentary nightly wine tastings. He was also super friendly and down to earth! Tim, the general manager, was […] another favorite! When I told him that my fiance and I were visiting to pick a wedding venue, he went above and beyond to make our trip a memorable one. One really cool perk of staying here is that they offer a free shuttle to nearby restaurants at night between 6-11pm. After drinking wine all day, the last thing you want to worry about is driving in a dark, unknown area. The room we stayed in was adorable and clean. There is a beautiful view outside of the winery and the breakfasts are AMAZING! We had home-made waffles, sausages, and this egg/cheese quiche. Come check this place out! It is near a lot of great wineries and restaurants and you'll love the great service! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable inn, lively location"
We were in beautiful St. helena for one night and decided to stay at the Wine Country Inn. The Inn is charming, comfortably furnished and very homey. The views from the terrace are lovely, wine and cheese in the late afternoon very welcome and breakfast was good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great spot in St.Helena!"
The Wine Country Inn was the perfect spot for my conference/vacation stay. The staff was helpful and easy to talk with, the room was gorgeous as was the view, the pool and hot tub were lovely. I'll be back!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"We loved it!"
We loved the Wine Country Inn! Would definitely come back and have a longer stay next time. It is the quintessential wine country experience.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Stayed for two nights"
Hotel is in a very quite place about a two miles from most of the stores and restaurants in St Helena. It is also very close to Pacific Union College (PUC) in Angwin, which made it the most convenient for me to see my two children while they were in school.Genuine Expedia guest review

"A beautiful place to stay in the wine country"
Beautiful grounds, nice and clean room. Very good service and friendly staff. Good breakfast. It also provided free wine, cheese and finger foods at evening. Will come back again and will recommend to our friends as well. The only thing is missing is a TV in room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Went for a couple days just to chill. Not really a spa, just a quaint b&b. Would go again.Genuine Expedia guest review
We had a great time at this hotel. Mother staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The nightly van service to local restaurants was great. The evening wine tasting was above and beyond and the morning breakfast was wonderful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Wine Country Inn is well run B&B. It has the decor of a B&B but the services and amenities of a small inn. We were welcome by the staff at the front desk, made sure we are comfortable while waiting for our room. Well let into our room with friendly staff. The room is very clean and well decorated. The service was excellent, from booking our dinners […] to arranging free shuttle services. There is a nice heated pool and hot tub, which makes our winter getaway very warm! "enchanting upscale inn"
We were delighted with our accommodations and the very helpful staff. Lots of special touches made it a wonderful experience. Appreciated all the details that enhanced the stay: shower caps and earplugs, excellent soaps, granola, passes to wine tastings, hot tub with plenty of strong jets, chauffeured rides to restaurants to name a few. And the only […] place I have stayed that had the good sense to provide 2 suitcase benches instead of just one. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Week Before Christmas A Fine Time for Wine Country"
We caught up with old friends out from the east to visit their son for Christmas. Despite the rainy weather, we had a great wine country holiday. No crowds at the vineyards and the wine tasting was leisurely with time for discussion with staff. The Wine Country Inn was good enough to upgrade our rooms at no cost. Staff was courteous, friendly and helpful […] with recommendations for restaurants and smaller wineries, all of which proved excellent. We would definitely return to the lovely, quiet inn. Oh, a final thought...If you are bird-watchers this is a great time of year to visit. Many species of warblers and other birds abound. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice inn to stay"
Very nice inn. A bit too large to call a bed and breakfast but has a nice feel to it. The room was spacious with a nice balcony. My only complaint was the bed was a bit high (ca. 4 foot) but still very comfortable. Breakfast was a nice buffet with freshly squeezed juice, breakfast meats, eggs, waffles, and bread selection. The innkeeper was wonderful […] and super courteous with some great tips for the area which we took advantage of for dining suggestions. A short drive from most places. My only advice for fist timers here is that the main entrance is at the back of the establishment if you're looking for it. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Biking in the Napa Valley"
We came to the Napa Valley to do some cycling before visiting our family in nearby Santa Rosa. We stayed at the lovely Wine Country Inn Our spacious, comfortable room was beautiful and we enjoyed a glass of wine on the balcony overlooking the vineyards. The management was so helpful in directing us to restaurants as well as wineries to visit. There […] is van service to take guests into St. Helena, a beautiful pool and spa, and the grounds were beautifully landscaped with olive trees and native plants. We enjoyed a wine reception in the main house, with scrumptious appetizers, and a full breakfast in the morning. It was a fantastic small hotel and we will return again to cycle and stay at this lovely hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Almost perfect ~"
Staff was great. They have complimentary happy hour and gave us a ride to and from dinner. The place is very comfortable and cozy. The grounds are gorgeous. We only had one complaint and it would have been all 5's otherwise: the room had free-standing fireplace that stunk so bad, we could barely breathe or sleep. It ruined it for us. If they would remove […] the fireplace and all the soft surfaces that absorbed the odor, it would be perfect. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Romantic spot, well located"
My wife and I spent a long weekend at Wine Country Inn recently. The hotel is well-located just north of St. Helena, making it ideal for visiting wineries there and in Calistoga, Yountville, Oakville, and along the Silverado Trail. The grounds are beautiful and the views lovely, although there is construction underway on both sides of the property (11/14). The […] common areas are nicely appointed, with plenty of room to socialize inside or on the lovely porch overlooking the eastern hills. They serve a terrific home-made breakfast each morning. We have only stayed once, so we cannot comment on other rooms and facilities. However, we felt that the hotel could use some renovation -- the fixtures are dated, particularly in the bath, and the furnishings are quaint, verging on rustic. We rented a premium room -- #4 -- a king bed with a patio door. The room is right under the reception area, and we were woken numerous times by the sound of staff and guests walking right over us. Not very restful, and not worth the premium (although earplugs were provided). Overall, recommended. But ask for a quiet room! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Fantastic weekend in Napa"
Fantastic stay. Really enjoyed the Wine Incursion Tour highly recommended it for for new and returning visitors to Napa, you will get access to some smaller boutique wineries. "Romantic, Beautiful Setting, But....."
Beautiful setting. Every speck of the property was extremely well kept and clean. Wonderful breakfast with egg dishes, waffles, homemade granola, fruit and more. Each night there was a wine tasting with delicious appetizers. One night we cancelled dinner reservations as we really could not eat another bite. Stayed in two different rooms. The rooms are […] why we did not give the inn the highest rating. The first room was a queen with a fireplace, which was nicely decorated with a pretty patio, however, the bed was too hard for us and the shower was small with very little pressure. This must be one of the rooms that needs a bathroom upgrade. Second and third night stayed in a king room similar to queen (nice patio, view & decor)but this had a better shower and the bed was comfy. Only downside is the room is directly below the front desk which is opened all night. Unfortunately, we could hear every plodding footstep and toilet flush above us. Everything else was so nice, we will give it another try but ask about room details. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"IF you like quiet relaxation, it's here"
This place is absolutely perfect if you really want to get away from it all. It's located in the middle of great vineyards and the views are spectacular. Nothing is "walkable" here and there's not a TV on the premise so you have to be ready for that.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Everything about our stay at the Wine Country Inn was excellent. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the surrounding area, the local wineries, and the wines themselves. "Terrific staff. Decent accommodations."
Every single person who works at the Wine Country Inn was terrific. Our room, in the main building was nice enough although the "pot-belly" stove and the brick surround in the corner of the room were tacky. Also, we could hear the people in the room above us walking around. Continental breakfast was fine although pretty much the same every morning. […] While a mile or more out of St. Helena, they provide complimentary van service to St. Helena--a very nice touch. If we return, we would likely try one of the cottages. "Everything but a TV"
Loved this place. But since we were there the night of the earthquake and the hotel does not have tv's, we had no way other than ipads to get news. Wish they had TV's. You don't have to watch them, but to us it is relaxing to watch tv. It's really a dealbreaker for us for more than 2 days to not have a tv. Otherwise the hotel is wonderful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not what I expected!"
Please be aware there are no TV's and they are proud of it. I don't like being out if touch, others may. My wife had a fit we were spending a so much on a hotel room with no TV and decided to stay home instead of making the trip. So much for romance. Meanwhile my added disappointment came when I went to use the pool and found it roped off and closed. Then […] I was constantly awakened at night by a randomly squeaking AC unit. "Relax in luxury"
The price was quite high, but this is a busy season. No one helped to bring our luggage to our room, even when requested. Our room was down 5 sets of stairs. We first visited 35 years ago - the decor has not changed at all. Nothing has been updated. There is no docking for any cell phone - there is no desk area for work space - the plugs are not near […] anything - the beds are so high that one (1) plastic step stool is provided, for 1 person. There is no "turn-down" evening service. The same breakfast is served every day = make your own waffles. There are screens on some of the windows, but not all, so those windows can not be opened at night, due to bugs. No one came to help with departure luggage assistance. A request for early towel change, was ignored - we were told to reuse all towels like everyone else. I would not give 1 star to this place. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Stayed two nights here and loved it. Complementary wine tasting every night, transportation to local restaurants and wineries, and an exceptionally comfortable room! Breakfast was great! The staff made our restaurant reservations for us. We highly recommend this hotel!Genuine Expedia guest review
First time at this inn and I was pleasantly surprised. The grounds were beautiful and surrounding areas were vineyards. Although there was a house being built next to the inn, the workers didn't start working til 8. We didn't use any services so I left at 1star. "Wonderful respite in the middle of Napa Vallery"
The images on the hotel's website were accurate and not at all misleading. In fact, they somewhat understate the well cared for grounds, room accommodations and ambiance. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was delightful to throw open the doors and windows to the grounds particularly in the evenings to enjoy the air and sounds of the countryside. […] The morning breakfasts were delicious and a wonderful way to start the day with a variety of healthful and also slightly indulgent foods and beverages. "super courteous service"
It is certainly not a modern hotel and there is no TV. These things are a blessing here because it was very peaceful and the grounds were a beautiful garden. "Location! Clean! Amazing amenities!"
You will not find a finer place to stay in wine country than here. It is by far the cleanest place I've ever stayed and I only stay at 5 star. At first I was upset because there was carpet in the rooms but it was perfectly clean and served as a the perfect sound barrier. The afternoon complementary tastings (wine & delicious healthy apps) were amazing..the […] food was truly superior; they have a full kitchen staff at all times. I am a clean freak and I can assure you that you will find no cleaner place than this and no better location than this. The best part for us was their "Winery PASSPORT" which truly -- recommended the finest wineries in the valley. We are new club members in over half of their recs. And they were complimentary tastings on their "passport." I promise you will get no better deal than this anywhere.
