"It was nice and clean."
It was OK. For the Island I guess you would say it was in the upper tear. Breakfast?? Was a little lacking (some bagels and cakes thrown out, and some coffee) but i guess it this fast paced world.... I expected some eggs ,orange juice, cranberry juice if your going to call it breakfast...??Genuine Expedia guest review
overpriced......terrible breakfast.......smokers everywhere...........missing a drawer........connecting room door un-lockable.......terrible tv.......Genuine Expedia guest review

"Many small deficiencies add up to poor value"
Quiet and clean, but many little issues. i.e. - only appliance outlet in kitchen doesn't work, complaint brought no resolution, very cramped bathroom hard to close door!), poorly designed facility, kitchen fan just blows back into room - checked this with maintenance staff, his comment "pretty mickey mouse..." poor attention to many details - eg- given […] only 2 tea bags total, for 2 people over 2 nights - simply put I am not coming back - 3 star prices for 1 star room Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Close to down town"
The gentleman that owns and operates is the most gracious host.... works VERY hard to make your stay great, carries your luggage, has lots of info. he creates a great place to stay....Genuine Expedia guest review
Booked for a last-minute getaway. Motel is quite dated, but adequately maintained. Manager is very helpful. Fridge and kitchenette were a plus. Very little privacy as walls are very thin and guests sit outside of rooms next to your windows. Fellow guests were polite and considerate, but you could not avoid them. Walking distance to Ganges.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Drive to Ganges as it's a long walk up hill."
The room was very clean and spacious. There was a very slightly musty odour. There was a smoker outside our open window, and the 4 people gathered there in the hot evening rather than the lovely gazebo a short walk across the driveway. The manager was gracious, and the breakfast very good. It's expensive for an old motel, but one of the few places on […] Saltspring Island you can stay just one night. "Nice getaway hotel"
It was a nice stay but very pricey. It's a motel styled hotel so it's noisy. You can hear outside chatter and car engine running. Place is a little run down. You can see spider webs forming in corners. Nice complimentary breakfast. Other than that nothing else special.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient location and accommodation"
The reception and sign in were friendly, professional and prompt. All staff were really nice and helpful. The room was quite adequate. There are amenities. The breakfast room is large and stocked with a variety of foods, drinks, yogurt, cereals, coffee, tea, muffins, bagels, cream cheese, jams, juices. A pleasant place.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Worked for what we needed"
Man at the desk, owner I think, was great. Very helpful and accommodating. Room was a little dated but clean and comfortable. Grounds were well kept. Did not find time to use hot tub, gazebo or picnic area but looked very inviting. We would certainly consider going back when we get to Saltspring againGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"will stay again"
Not bad: clean, good customer service.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We really enjoyed our stay. The room was roomy and clean and the staff made sure we had everything we needed to get a good experience. Great view and not to far from town, although we did have bikes which made that easier.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Nice hotel at reasonable cost."
Cost was reasonable. We were quite happy with room and the service was good. The room was clean. We had a couple minor problems and they were taken care of immediately. The breakfast was a nice extra. It was just right for us. Nice breakfast room. Short drive to shopping and restaurants.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Dated but clean"
The Inne is dated and it okay condition. The saving grace was that the room looked clean and the people running the hotel were nice. I would not recommend this hotel to others. The bed was uncomfortable and felt I was staying in a hotel from a horror movie.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Adequate, but didn't get the details right"
Room was clean to start with. But hotel failed to notify many stairs to room, failed to clean and replenish supplies adequately for second night stay, and got many small details wrong - no info re TV operation, coffee making, etc. Also signs posted re must wash coffee cups etc or get extra charge added ($25). Also staff did not turn on heat correctly […] upon check in (despite a specific request) so room was very cold when we returned that evening. Heat unit was very difficult to figure out. The rooms are clean . A little dated but comfortable. They consist of a small kitchen area with fried, stove and microwave. There is a television, couch and chairs and a desk with a chair. Plenty of parking near your unit. There is a kitchen area for morning breakfast and you also have use of a hot tub.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Average Hotel run by inexperienced staff."
Arrived in a snow storm. The smiles of welcome should have been complimented by snow shovels! A contingency plan and equipment for dealing with adverse weather would be a help. Thank you to staff who provided us with a hot meal when our food ran out.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by Seabreeze Inne Mr, fitt Thank you for your candit comment ,indeed we shall besuitably better prepared nex time. Hot meal will always be there.
I loved my stay!.The gentleman at the front desk was very nice and helpful. Although I hadn't requested it, I was given a room with a full kitchenette which was an added bonus. The room was clean and comfortable but could use some updating. The walk from Ganges to the hotel was about 10 minutes. If you are pulling a suitcase it is uphill and there is […] no sidewalk. If you take the bus, it will make a stop for you at Dean Rd across the street from the hotel. You can also hop on the bus from there to get to Fulford Harbour,Very convenient! The hotel has a lovely complimentary breakfast included and that was much appreciated! I would stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very pleasant hotel with a park like setting."
My stay was during a record setting cold spell. The room was cozy, LOTS of hot water. Spotless room with very friendly staff. It is obvious that even in the off season the owners put a lot of effort into pleasing their customers.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Pleasant but overpriced"
Nicely located just outside Ganges, close to facilities. Breakfast included with room. Pleasant staff, rooms are clean, king-sized bed was comfortable, but it's still just a motel, and an over-priced one.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great place to stay."
The room did smell a little smoky...for a non smoking room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel is adequate, more 70s motel than hotel. It was somewhere to sleep near Ganges, and the grounds are nice. The rooms are very basic, with paper-thin walls, so bring earplugs. It is extremely expensive for what you get. We had a cheaper, much nicer place in downtown Victoria. However, the rooms were clean and it was the only place with vacancies […] under $200. "Nice place and close to town"
We stayed for two nights. It's an older place, but has been taken care of very well. The beds are very comfortable and the air conditioning nice and quiet. I liked how there were seats outside each room to enjoy the view. It was nice and quiet too. I would stay again!Genuine Expedia guest review
"A motel not a hotel!"
11/24/14 Deb-Mark Calgary
We recently stayed at the Seabreeze Inne, it is definitely set us as a typical motel - however, the rooms are nice, I slept well there, and felts it was clean enough. The breakfast leaves a lot to be desired, choice is poor, quality looks bad - you don't know exactly what everything is and how long it's been sat there. There was a little food truck style Greek cafe in the parking lot, run by a lovely husband and wife team, who cooked up a tasty and satisfying dinner. Location is good on the main Fulford-Ganges road, fairly close to Ganges.

I booked a two double beds room for me and my parents. Good distance away from downtown. Gorgeous view the hotel is facing. The room was clean and staffs were friendly. On the other hand, since the motel is pet friendly the nights are a bit rough for sleeping. Another down side to my room was it didn't have a net window so we couldn't keep bugs out while having fair breeze. This is probably a good accommodation for pet owners.
"Lower value for cost"
10/17/14 RobertSell Port Coquitlam, Canada
When I made reservations I remember thinking it seemed a bit expensive but the promise of value was there. Unfortunately, I can't say they deliver on that value. Very nice hosts and good location so for a short stay may be worth it however I would not stay there again at the current rates. Room was very plain and old. If it was cheaper I would give it an average rating but I felt a bit ripped off.
"Exactly Perfect Base on Saltspring"
10/14/14 path_in_a_snowy_wood Victoria, Canada
The Seabreeze is a converted motel, two stories, with walk up, but I'm writing this review because I was very pleasantly surprised by what I found. In actual fact, when you turn the corner into the parking lot from the main road, and see the face of the building, it is a very well maintained and pretty set up. There are mini-palm trees, hanging baskets of flowers, a hot tub with generous deck side seating, a horseshoe pitch, and large lawn with a beautiful view towards Long Harbour. You would really have room for a family picnic or for children to play. Our room was very clean, freshly upgraded and generous in size. It had a kitchenette! We had a great sea view from the 2nd floor. There was a light continental breakfast - the usual toast and jam, as well as boiled eggs, yogurt, fruit cups and toaster waffles. The manager was exceptionally kind and attentive. I have travelled to Saltspring for many years as I have family there, but as the family grows we sometimes find ourselves needing a hotel and I will certainly stay again - in fact, I look forward to it! Charming!

I feel badly writing a poor review because the owner was so friendly and helpful and that goes a long way to making a pleasant stay. But the run-down rooms are in desperate need of a makeover and our plumbing needed to be fixed during our two night stay. The breakfast was very nice, the location to Ganges is good, and there is a nice area for kids to run around, but I would look elsewhere next time.
"Owners are very nice, rooms clean but..."
08/27/14 DebiMcN Victoria, Canada
We have stayed there twice and find it suitable. Rooms are clean but have a few issues with maintenance. The taps in the kitchen turned in a backward direction, the lock on the door was very sticky. They could use a maintenance person who knows plumbing and locks! Owner very kind and the breakfast is good. Will stay again even with the backwards taps and sticky locks.
"Good location, quiet area"
We had a good experience. The room is quite dated, as we expected, but it serves as a great location to explore the island. Ganges is minutes away, down the hill, and the hotel fairly central to the island. The room was clean, definitely livable. We had two dogs with us, and there no extra charges as some hotels tend to do. The clerk was nice, showing us to our room, and had we had any special requirements he would have been available to help us. We paid just over $160 with all taxes, which is a little expensive but to be expected with so little choice on the island.

the hotel had comfortable rooms for the price with nice grounds/view (gazebo, hot tub, picnic tables). It is within easy biking distance to Ganges. Most importantly, the manager is fantastic! This was the second stay for us and we'll be again.
07/23/14 pablopollardo Seattle, Washington
The manager, Sateesh, could not have been more helpful and gracious. Yes, the whole place is in need of some fixing up, but it is an excellent value for the price. There are not a lot of accommodation options if you want to stay in Ganges. Sateesh picked us up in his car from the marina and was always asking how he could help make our stay more enjoyable. We will definitely be back!
"Not a B&B"
07/13/14 Mossylog Vancouver, Canada
This motel listed under B&B for Saltspring is a Motel. For the most part, it was clean and comfortable, but old and tired, in dire need of sprucing up. Way too expensive! There is a nice peek-a-boo view of Ganges Harbour. Fortunately, we had no need for the kitchenette, because it was filthy! Nothing a bit of SOS couldn't take care of, but they hadn't bothered. The fake fingernail lying on the stove top was really disconcerting. Couple of teenage girls doing the cleaning and I suspect they need a little more supervision.
