Excellent service, excellent rooms and a perfect air condition system. I know Zurich well and going there few times a year. During the summer if and when it is hot you must look for a modern fully air conditioned hotel and this Sheraton hotel is the perfect place. Very friendly staff and very pleasant atmosphere. "A new hotel located somewhat out of the centre"
This very well appointed new hotel is well located on a tram-line only 15 minutes from central Zurich. It's also only 20 minutes by taxi from the airport. Facilities are good at the 4-star level, but more staff training is needed... telephone calls did not get put through properly - it seemed some front desk staff didn't know how; housekeeping staff […] did a rather incomplete service, forgetting to replace toiletries, coffee, etc; a request for a bellman seemed to just not reach the bell-desk, and so on. That said, it is a good hotel, new and modestly priced in a very expensive market, and is well worth considering on a business trip. クラブシングルルームという部屋をとりました。朝食とWifiが付いているというプランでしたが、まず初日はシステムトラブルとのことでWifiが想定通りのルームナンバーとSurname（苗字）でつながらず、フロントに言うと、個別のVoucher IDとPasswordをもらいつながりました。 次の日、24時間で期限が切れたのでまた言うとまだシステムが直っていないとのことで、またVoucher対応。次の日システムが直った様子で、突然テレビがつき私の名前がWelcomeの後に書いてありました。TVはそれまで使えなかったチャンネルなどが見られるようになっていたのでこの間このサービスを受けられなかった事になります。ネットも今までルームナンバーと苗字を入れてもエラーになっていたのが、今度は次の画面に進みまし […] た。しかしそこには有料のプランを選ぶ選択肢が。フロントに言うと、Wifiは含まれていないといわれました。さんざんやりとりした挙句、エクスペディアの画面コピーをメールで送るように言われました。フロントに直接持って行って見せたのにも関わらず、メールでの送信を求められました。さらにはネットにつながっていないから送れないと言うと、フロントにならつかえるからそこでやれと。しかたなく送り、仕事へ。帰って来てから聞くともうつながる、問題ない、と言われました。そこで、結局何が問題だったのか、と聞いたところようやくそこで、今日会議をした、そこでシニアマネージャと話をした、フロントがクラブシングルにWifiが含まれていることを理解していなかったといわれました。そこまで聞いてようやくごく簡単な謝罪の言葉がでてきました。 朝食は1階で、といわれたので朝朝食に降りると朝食がプランに含まれていないいといわれました。そこでまた含まれているはずと聞くと、他のスタッフに聞いてようやく、クラブシングルは客室階と同じ階のクラブで朝食がとれると言われました。 英語もうまく話すスタッフが揃っていて感じもいいのですが、内容がこのような状態で非常に残念な気持ちになりました。 Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Modern Room, Below Average Club Lounge and Service"
This new hotel is overall very nice, the lobby is very bright and welcoming and the front desk staff is helpful. Rooms are modern and nicely appointed with modern amenities. We were upgraded to a junior suite and although we could hear the trains from our room, it was not too loud enough to disturb our sleep. Our biggest complains are: 1.) the service in their restaurant Route 26 where we had our breakfast there this morning is extremely poor. No one greeted us, so we just had to helped ourselves to their buffet. Finally, when the staff started showing up, they did not show any interest in checking on us to see if we needed something else. Very odd for a hotel not to practice hospitality. A worker would occasionally take our plates, but still she did not ask us how we are doing or if she could get us anything else for us. 2) our other complain is their lack of available snacks and service at the club lounge. This is just one of the few perks we expect as a token of appreciation for being loyal SPG Platinum Members-- being greeted to some special snacks, deserts or small meals make up for a tiring trip and long day. We have travelled all over the world and this is the only hotel that does not even offer nuts, crackers or something small to munch on while relaxing at the lounge. We are extremely disappointed. In summary, the list of positive and negative items are listed below: Positive: - spacious and new bedroom and bathroom - great location, convenient access to public transportation - wonderful added amenities such as Nespresso, rain shower, automatic outdoor shutters/curtains - helpful front desk Negative: - restaurant service is unfriendly and aloof. No one asked us how we are doing - club lounge for SPG platinum members is poor-- only offering coffee, soda and some wine. No snacks or small desserts at all. No attendant to help us.

My stay at this hotel was fine overall, but there are some ares where the hotel has room for improvement. Location: -The location is convenient with the "Toni-Areal" tram stop on Line 4 right outside of the hotel. Though the hotel is outside of the city center, it is a quick 10-minute ride into the center of the city and about 30 minutes to the airport with tram/train connections. Trams run every 7 minutes, are clean, and affordable. Check-in: -Check-in was friendly and professional. I was thanked for my loyalty as a SPG Gold member, and asked which welcome amenity I wanted. I chose the internet, which came in handy as it otherwise (from reports here) would have been expensive in this hotel. I was disappointed that I was NOT granted club lounge access as a SPG Gold member as I have at other Sheraton properties, and was not upgraded to a Club Floor room, either. Room: I received a room on the 7th floor of the hotel, which is a "preferred guest" floor. Other than that, as a SPG Gold member, I received NO UPGRADE whatsoever, which was very disappointing. There are 3 elevators that are quickly available to take you to the room. I booked and received a King bed "Sheraton" bedroom. The room itself was of adequate size. As is standard in Preferred Guest rooms, there were 2 bottles of fresh SWISS water waiting for me upon arrival in my room, which is always appreciated. I also received a welcome note from the hotel manager, and as a welcome gift, I was given a choice of a drink in the bar, or a complimentary starter plate in the restaurant. There are blinds for the room that are outside of the window that close with the push of a button, which is pretty cool. In addition to the blinds, there are black-out curtains in the room -- a major plus! There was a flat-screen television in the room of adequate size. There are lots of lights in the room, and numerous "European" outlets -- so bring a power converter if you are traveling from outside Europe. The bed...was...awesome! The Sheraton Sweet Sleeper bed lived up to its name and allowed me about 10-hours of uninterrupted sleep each night of my stay! There was also a large, lit closet and in-room safe in the room. The bathroom was new. Bathroom amenities are the standard Sheraton "shine" bathroom amenities. There was also a scale in the room. One of the other best features of the room was the "rainfall" shower head, which was pretty nice. There was NO TUB in my room, just a walk-in shower. Despite other complaints here, I did NOT have noise issues from traffic or trains. While I could hear them pass by on occasion, they really were hardly noticeable for me. The internet in the room was fairly slow, though reliable. House-keeping was excellent throughout my stay, and despite not leaving my room until about noon each day, my room was always serviced by the time I returned in the evening! My room was always kept clean and fresh throughout my stay, and used bathroom amenities were replace, towels replaced, and water bottles were replaced after consumption, too! The property does not have a pool, which is disappointing. There is a "Sheraton Fitness Center" on the third floor. It seemed well-equipped and of good size, though I did not get a chance to use this facility as my "work-out" was much more enjoyable exploring the nearby beautiful Swiss country-side. While I wanted to dine in the hotel restaurant, I never did. Frankly, it never had more than a few people in it at a time, and was often empty and dinner, which I took as a bad sign, so I chose to eat in the city itself instead. I did have my aforementioned free drink in the bar, "Nuovo." The environment here was very stale. I had a good glass of Swiss wine, but downed it fairly quickly as the other patrons in the bar were drunk and very obnoxious -- clearly over served. Overall, my stay here was fine. The hotel was safe, new, clean, and I slept great. I did not feel adequately appreciated for my loyalty as a SPG Gold member, however, as I do at other SPG properties. I would return to this hotel when in Zurich in the future, but would explore other options first.

The rooms are clean but not so big for an American hotel chain. Staff attentive. It's walking distance from the lake and from Bahnhofstrasse. If you are coming for a business trip it is a good option. Bathroom is a little bit cramped. Overall a good deal.

We were lucky enough to find this hotel last year before they opened and took advantage of the special introductory rates offered on the web for a pre-paid room. We secured an executive size room which we stayed at for 2 nights at a rate of about 1/3 less than they go for now. We had a quick and easy check-in with very pleasant people helping us in the lobby. The room was really nice and very clean and had a good set up with no problems walking around the room and/or bed. The flooring was hardwood in the main bedroom and then a slate type tile in the bath which I feel keeps the room cleaner and with less dust. We had arrived at this hotel after our long trip (and a couple plane changes) from California so we were pretty jet lagged and just wanted to hit the bed. And what a comfortable bed it was! The bathroom was good size and the shower was large and had a "rain" shower head which felt great! There is a sliding glass door/screen that blocks the view of the shower stall/bathroom from the bed area. If you leave the screen open, you can see into the bathroom from the bedroom. There was Nespresso coffee maker in the room with several choices of coffee or tea which were complimentary. Our room also had a little fridge with a couple of bottles of water in it that were also complimentary. Our room was on the side of the hotel that looked down over the train tracks and you could hear the comuter and freight trains coming by even with the double pane windows, but it was not that bad nor did it bother us during the evening at all. One thing that was irritating about the hotel (really have to blame the management) was that they did charge you for the internet useage. Since we got a relatively good deal on the rate, I didn't complain, but if I was paying the price they are getting now, I would be very anoyed. Come on, no other hotel we stayed at in Europe charged us for the Internet useage - you may want to re-think that! Wifi was free in the lobby. Parking is confusing, but it is in a little lot actually underneath the hotel if that makes sense. As for the location, note the Technology Park area is away from the downtown part of Zurich, however the Tram that links you to the city of Zurich stops just a couple of steps away from the front door. It was very easy for us to purchase a day pass and go back and forth to the other parts of Zurich. The hotel is nice and I would stay there again. However if you are looking for something where there is an active bar scene in the evenings, this hotel really didn't have that going for it, yet.

First the good: This is a brand-new hotel, my room was spacious and very nicely appointed. The bathroom was a work of art - one of the nicest bathrooms I've had, with a full body shower and a separate tub. Now the bad: The hotel location is sort of out in the middle of nowhere. Fortunately there is a light-rail (tram) stop right out front that takes you into town in about 20 minutes, for 4 Euro. Also, I found the service at the hotel to be pretty lackluster. I ordered a sandwich from room service and it took an hour to arrive, with no explanation. Perhaps it's just because it's a new hotel and they are still working out the kinks. Now the ugly: I've been traveling in Europe for three weeks and this is the first time I've been in a hotel that charges for internet. I just paid $400 for my room and now you are going to charge me $15 to use the internet? Really, really stupid. That alone is enough to guarantee that I will never ever come back to this hotel again.

Not sure where to start with this hotel and how to rate it so went for middle of the road. Basically it's a brand new modern hotel, room was very nice, big bath, rain shower, clean, modern, 5 star. Reception was very friendly, helpful, smooth check in. Nice bar. All in all if the review stops here 5 stars, but it doesn't. When I checked in I asked if I had a nice room and if it was quiet. Was informed yes. Went to my room and as the other reviewed said its right next to Zurich's' main railway track, two tracks in fact. This hotel was built in January so it seems crazy. Every 5/10 minutes a train goes passed and it's loud, it may be double or even triple glazed but I can assure you it doesn't help. To put it into context I live in London on the A3 and sleep fine. Here I didn't. Oh and it's not just passenger trains, freight trains as well. The building doesn't shake or move which is good, it's just the noise. That night when I went out I did ask and was told the trains stopped at midnight and started at 7am. They ended stopped around 1 and started around 6am. Basically it was an early start. I was only staying for two nights. On complaining after 1 night 5 stars to reception. They offered to move me, very helpful, great staff. I opted not to move right away as too much hassle for one more night. Then at 6pm that day I couldn't take it anymore and moved rooms. It was like a new hotel. Peaceful, relaxing, and if the new room was my 1st from the start 5 stars. I couldn't fault the staff and the hotel. Move the train track and 5 stars. I have uploaded a picture of how close the train is. Tips for management. You need to improve the windows ASAP as you will not get any guests returning if they stay that side of the hotel. For me I will be moving back to the Renaissance on my monthly Zurich trip. Just across the road but very nice hotel. Also I have taken audio clippings so I can assure you it's not just a complaining guest. I rate your hotel. Presume room height could a difference but even in the lounge on the 10th floors it's loud. If you stay here ask for a room on the other side of the hotel and you will be fine. Thank you, Matt
"Fantastic hotel and great value, close to running track"

It was very good value when I booked because of the distance from the city centre. However, it is only a few stops by tram which is very regular and I had a three day pass with me. Good hotel bar below and hotel feels clean and new. Near the hotel, there is a track along a river with a boardwalk off the track and was perfect to feel close to nature. Not that many facilities in the immediate walking vincinity but didn't cause a problem as I was out mostly and came back to rest and whatever was in the hotel was certainly more than good enough (bar/restaurant). I was a bit worried initially about noises from trains but it didnt turn out to be any issue for me at all.

I was recently in Zurich for two days and stayed at the Sheraton Zurich. I was definitely pleased with the hotel and just had a few issues. The location was great. Although not located in the city center it is just outside a Tram stop so getting into the central part of city only took about 10 minutes and I never waited more than 4 minutes for a Tram. The staff was also very friendly and the room and bathroom were both very spacious. Loved the rain shower head and Nespresso machine. My issues were the following: lack of free wifi in the room and the poor quality of the cleaning service. The lack of free wifi speaks for itself. I think this part of Zurich is primarily the business area so I'm not sure why that wouldn't be included in the room. The cleaning staff didn't really do a great job cleaning the room. There was still hair all over the floor after they came through for the day and there was tons of dust on the Nespresso machine. Other than that the hotel was great and I would certainly stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel for four nights. We came her to see the city and observe the Swiss town, people and culture. From the airport it seemed far out in the suburb. But once we figured out the public transportation it was easy to go any place in the city. (In fact we have figured that from the airport you can use a tram to go to this hotel.) Once we decided just to walk to the center of the city and it took us maybe 40 minutes all the while looking at the streets, houses, people etc. The room was comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. The staff was friendly and took care of things quickly. We liked this Sheraton and I would recommend it to those who want to explore the city.
