"Amazing apartments in central Berlin!!!"
Circus Apartments is a great Hotel/Apt in the Mitte neighborhood of Berlin. They have 21 units each named after the 21 most common German last names. I stayed in the Mustermann which was a spacious one bedroom apartment. It came with a fully equipped kitchen, large living room, balcony, bathroom, and bedroom. Everything was modern and actually seemed […] brand new. The building doesn't have a sign stating it is Circus Apts but when you come across the quaint Kitchen Cafe you'll know you're there. A desk in the cafe serves as the lobby and there will always be someone to greet and offer you a welcome drink when you arrive. My favorite part of staying at Circus Apts is waking up in the morning and being able to go just downstairs to a friendly smile and a cup of coffee. The staff is usually busy setting up a breakfast buffet of fruits, yogurts, and many other things. You can choose to sit inside or if the weather is nice there are a few tables set up on the sidewalk. They even provide blankets on the seats for the chilly mornings before the sun shine makes it's way around the buildings. Transportation is also very close by, I was able to make my way to the busier parts of central berlin within 10-15 minutes with the M1 or M12 tram 2 blocks away, and the Rosenthaler Platz station on the U Bahn is only 3-4 blocks away. There's also plenty of stores and restaurants and bars in the area if you do not wish to go far. All in all I had a great stay and will be back. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Fabulous place to stay in Berlin"

We spent almost a week in a lovely, huge apartment that we didn't want to leave. The apartments are well appointed, the linens are lovely, the staff wonderful. Our travel group represented three generations ranging from a teenager to a senior and everyone was satisfied and happy with the arrangements.

Beautiful apartment in a quiet street but very close to shops, cafes and restaurants. Spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. The reception and café staff could not be more friendly and helpful. Very close to the Prenzlauer Berg district which is a charming area of Berlin. However, we did miss not having airconditioning as the temperature was very hot though cooled down at night. Otherwise pretty perfect!

A fabulous apartment hotel, in a quiet area of Berlin (but easy access to the main areas). Stayed there for a long weekend with the family and loved it. Well functioned big apartment and a lovely coffee shop/cafe in the block (the Kitchen Cafe). Nice food (vegetarian), even make a proper Flat White coffee. The staff were all extremely helpful and warm. Made for a great long weekend trip. Can't recommend the place highly enough. We will definitely stay there again when we come back.

We enjoyed three nights at the Circus Apartments recently. We had a fabulous apartment overlooking a lovely courtyard. It was light, spacious and very well appointed. Johann was a great host. He went out of his way to make sure we felt welcome. We loved having fresh rolls delivered to the apartment very morning. Highly recommend these apartments. Sandy & Dave

We stayed at the apartments for our third consecutive yearly visit earlier this month. If anything it was better than ever! All staff are so helpful, courteous and knowledgable that they are a pleasure to deal with. The apartments themselves are lovely, and visiting in summer this time for a change we made good use of the balcony. Can't wait to visit again - absolutely first class!
"Wonderful apartments and staff"
Just back from a girls weekend staying at the Circus Apartments which were fantastic. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome. The staff were wonderful - genuinely friendly and very helpful. The apartment was spacious (there were 7 of us). Big, airy rooms, large bathrooms and a large living area. We had all the facilities we needed - plenty of cutlery, glasses etc and great finishing touches - an IPad (to check out what to do in the area), toiletries in the bathroom, towels, stereo - just everything we needed. The weather was fantastic and we spent a lot of time on the large balcony - we could have done with a sun shade but them we did have a bit of a heatwave and it was exceptionally warm. There is a lovely little café downstairs - well worth stopping in for coffee (and breakfast - which we were even able to have delivered to our apartment). Thoroughly recommend the apartments - staff, location, service - everything to ensure that your stay in Berlin is the best it can be - book it now!
"all around best hotel I've stayed at"

Great, huge rooms, lots of light light, non-smoking. Very friendly staff and good drinks at the cafe. Coolest location. Walkable to sights, but also in a hipster neighborhood with a lot of unusual stuff. Not touristy feeling at all. Easy links to public transit. We didn't want to leave! Free laundry in basement, though the clothes dryer is very slow.

I rarely give 5* but Circus were by far the best accomodation we have ever stayed as a family. The location is perfect. Mitte being almost the centre of East Berlin. It's 5 mins walk from the U-Bahn. The staff were wonderful, friendy, helpful and spoke perfect English! Our apartment was fantastic. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and very large living area. Although we didn't self-cater, the facilities were all there. The weather wasn't too great so we were unable to take advantage of the slimline balcony! Electric window blinds, REAL coathangers and an iPad all made it the perfect place to stay as a couple or as a family (we have two boys 12 and 15).
"Wow! Just, wow!"

My partner and I stayed here for ten nights in May 2014 in one-bedroom apartment Müller on level 3 and absolutely LOVED it. We had stayed at the Circus Hotel on a previous visit to Berlin, and found the service impeccable. The apartments maintained this high standard, from the information sent to us pre-arrival, the welcoming greeting, and croissants delivered to our door. The apartment itself was very roomy with a full kitchen with Zanussi appliances (better than our kitchen at home), dining table, lounge area, balcony, flat screen TV, stereo, iPad and lots of character plus style. This is not an anonymous chain hotel! The large double bed (queen size or king size?) unusually for Europe only had a double quilt, when many hotels have two single quilts on double beds. Reception staff were very helpful at getting my partner a second quilt and sheet to decamp to the sofa when my snoring became too bad. I'm a wheelchair user and this apartment was not a designated wheelchair-accessible room. The hotel though had a step-free entrance, elevator, easy access to get into the apartment, room to easily get under the dining table, and plenty of room to get around the bed in the bedroom. The bathroom was spacious, with the shower over the bath, but good access to get under the sink and to the toilet. The doorways to the bathroom and bedroom were narrower than other doors, but just wide enough for my wheelchair. Our apartment overlooked the street, but noise was never an issue, even with windows open at night. The apartment building is in a suburban street, but Rosenthaler Platz with cafés, restaurants, trams, buses and accessible U-bahn station is an easy walk from the building. A Kaisers supermarket is close by also for stocking up your kitchen. The apartment has connections for a washing machine, but no washing machine. Free washing machines and dryer are available in the basement, and we used these two or three times during our stay without issue. We paid 130 Euro per night, or approximately $AUD200 per night. This is incredible value for a large apartment and fantastic service. Without a doubt, we'll be back!
