Budget accom in central lisbon. For what we needed it served perfectly. The room was very clean, the bathroom well sized and the decor was modern. The room was serviced every day. The man on reception was happy to help us with whatever we needed. Breakfast was basic but fine for us, breads, cheeses hams yoghurt etc. This hotel is exactly what you would expect for the budget traveller, and once again I feel frustrated that people pay the cheapest they can, then act surprised or let down when they don't get 5 star luxury! We would stay here again no problem, we felt safe, comfortable and the location was great. The lift was the only downside, it only fits one person, but even that is not exact the end of the world! All in all, a lovely well run hotel in central lisbon. Not luxury, but by far better than staying in a 'hostel' for the same price!
"Could do better"

I have to say I was disappointed in this hotel, it needs some money spent on it to bring it back to life, although the room was clean, everything is old and worn out. Even the staff looked tired. The breakfast was marginal, it lacked imagination, and could of had a better selection. It is quiet a long distance from the city, but then I guess the Metro is only a 100 metres away, it is in the old part of Lisbon and the surrounding area looks a little suspect. I would of rather of spent a little more and got closer to the City. Beware of the pickpockets especially in the trams, it seems some of the gipsy woman work in pairs, I felt their hand in my back pocket, but my cell phone was in the front pocket, still it was amazing as I never felt them undo my back pocket.

Stayed for a week, hotel was clean , room was clean , breakfast was good, staff were helpful, friendly and spoke good English at reception, and only a short walk to the metro, only let down was that maybe the walls between rooms were a little thin and could hear just about everything going on in the next room. All in all i thought it was very good value for money.

I stayed here with my family for 5 days. It certainly looks better on the pictures. Disappointing. The staff is unfriendly and do not have good advices on where to eat. Ask somewhere else. Location is good, close to 2 or 3 metro stops, 10-minute ride to the city center. The sixth floor has been renewed, the rooms are big and clear. My parents had a problem with the air conditioning and had to change rooms after the third night. Breakfast is poor, fruit juices are terrible. Would not come back and do not recommend.
"All in all, a good stay"

Stayed at this hotel for two nights and all in all it was a good stay. Having read some unflattering reviews about rooms at lower floors, I booked a deluxe double room. It was a decent room at the 4th floor and it was clean, quiet and spacious enough, with a well working air-conditioner and renewed furniture. The electronic key was very handy, plus there was free wi-fi. The only downside was the shelf in the bathroom placed over the sink which was too low and it was difficult washing teeth and face but at least the shower was good. The elevator is old and very small (1 person + luggage) but it works and that's what matters, after all. Breakfast is a bit poor if you compare it with an average continental breakfast: just bread, ham, cheese, one type of cereal, and of course milk, coffee, tea and fruit juices, no fruits, no sweets, no eggs. Not that bad but I think they can do better. The staff is nice and friendly, although they barely speak English. The neighborhood (Estefania-Saldanha zone) is okay, there are a few places where you can eat, especially around Praca Saldanha, but if you want to go somewhere interesting after dinner you'll have to take the metro (both Saldanha and Picoas stations are within 5 minutes walking) and go to Bairro Alto or Baixa-Chiado. I've seen better hotels, of course, but I have to say my experience at Residencial Sao Pedro was positive.
"Okay if you're only looking for a cheap place to stay for 1 or 2 nights, not longer."

I stayed here with a friend for 7 days. My first impression was: it looks better on the pictures of the website. Definitly not a 3 stars hotel. The service is not very good, there was only 1 guy who was able to speak understandeble english, with the others we had to speak portuguese. Be aware when they send you to some "nice places" they know. One of the receptionists told us about a very nice Fado-restaurant not far from the hotel, where you can listen to the Fado music and eat at the same time for a low price. NOT TRUE! The staff of that restaurant (Velho pateo de sant'ana) was very unfriendly, the food was way too expensive and not tasty at all. There were only tourists who were send over there by their hotel, so I suppose that the hotel works together with them. The location was good though, not very far from 2 metro stops and a bus stop, a few stops away from the city center. Also a quiet and clean neighbourhood. The room we had (109) was clean, rather small but okay, and had a bathroom. Had a TV too, with a lot of channels. There was no heating, and since it didn't stop raining for the whole week we were there, it was very cold and humid in the room. But i suppose it should be better in summertime. The cleaning ladies came every day to change the towels, clean the room and make up the beds. The breakfast was very poor, only cheep cornflakes, some small breads with cheese, ham and if you're lucky jam as well. Didn't try the restaurant or the bar, in the neighbourhood you can eat good and cheap in the pasteleria's. I would say, you can go here if you're only looking for a cheap place to stay, but definitly not longer than 1 or 2 nights.

Stayed for 3 nights. Very good hotel with smallish but nice and clean rooms. Breakfast okay - nothing spectacular. Location all right if you do not mind taking the metro - very close to two metro stations, including the line to and from the airport. Very friendly staff!

This is not 3 star. Beware of key and lock scam. They ask for 20 euros deposit for key witch will break and they charge those 20 euros for suposed broken lock. No proof and NO BILL.

My husband invited me to have a trip in Europe, he was given an award by their company for A European trip for two. From, Malabon City, Philippines we ride a Jeep to Manila Airport for our flight, unluckily the flight was delayed for a day because of the bad weather, so we stayed for a night at the Hotel in Manila. the next day we flew to Spain and travel via land trip to Portugal which happens to be nearby the Country. we check in at "Saint Peter Residence" which is translated SAO PEDRO RESIDENCIAL. we are in a harsh in finding a good and affordable hotel after we reach Lisbon City the Capital. Our stay is fine and nothing unusual, in short I am not satisfy with the service, THE TREATMENT of the staffs to their Filipino Guests are probably awful, it seems they look us down rather than making equalities of every ethnics they encounter. and One thing that it worsen the moments are; I could hardly communicate with them, there English accent is not clear, it seems they have putted a candy on their mouth and speak in a voice that I couldn't figure out.... they were not like FILIPINOS who were good in speaking English and enunciation is crystal clear, intellectual in communicating various guests of different races and nationalities.
"worst reception ever"

My friends and I found this hotel on booking.com for 20€/night/person with breakfast. We didnt make the reservation because we were going there on the same day we found it on the site and the hotel was empty anyway. We found it pretty easily, but the suprise only came after we wanted to check in... the price was 30€ instead on 20€... it wouldnt mind paying it if it was worth it... but the this would probably be the last place where i would enjoy staying: small, dirty, terrible bathroom (looked like it didnt get any upgrade in 20 years!) so after we checked the rooms, it tooks us half an hour to negotiate the price without success. The receptionist was so unfriendly and arrogant, that we dicided to leave. When we were actually walking out the door, the receptionist stopped us and told us that would could stay for 20€ but without breakfast. Didnt feel like arguying anymore, or searching for a different place, but the two night i spent there were one of the worst in my life.
