"Our favorite place to stay in Ireland!"
Everything was perfect. My husband and I decided to go to Ireland for 2 weeks on our honeymoon. Killiane Castle was our second stop and we stayed there for 3 nights - but we wish we had stayed there much longer!! It's out in the country and very close to Wexford. We had a beautiful room with the most comfortable bed that I've ever laid on in my life! […] We had breakfast included and it was absolutely delicious and the perfect way to start our mornings. The property was gorgeous and very picturesque. You are free to explore the whole property- which includes a farm, pitch and putt, driving range, and an old castle. It was one of the few castles in Ireland that we were actually able to go inside and up to the very top! We ended up with a flat tire and instead of calling our car rental place and having them come out to fix it, Paul directed us to a place nearby. They fixed it immediately and it only cost us 20 euro (as opposed to the 150 euro minimum that our car rental place would have charged!). Paul was so helpful and friendly - I wish we had more time to talk with him while we were there. We will definitely be staying here again when we go back to Ireland! "I expected better"
When we arrived in our room the first thing we noticed was that there were a lot of dead flies all over the bathroom and on the bedroom floor. It was so disgusting we cleaned it up ourselves, because we didn't want to wait for housekeeping to come. When it was time to wash our hands we noticed there was no soap in the bathroom. No hand soap and no bath […] soap. It was lucky we brought our own soap, but I didn't expect to use it. On a better note, there is a small sitting room with tea and homemade cookies, and the breakfast is very good, with a large variety to choose from. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Enjoyed this B&B very much"
We enjoyed our stay at this country B&B, even though it was difficult to find. This B&B is far away from downtown Wexford and you should know this before booking. The shower was a problem, I like a nice warm-hot shower. And during my shower, the hot water quit and there was little to no water pressure. If this situation is corrected, then I would be […] willing to say this is an outstanding place to stay. Kathleen and her son were gracious hosts. The breakfast was awesome and they bent over backwards to make our visit hospitable. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great B&B home/castle."
Very pleasurable & interesting place. The accommodations were very pleasant after long flight from USA. The fresh breakfast was unbelievable. The staff were so helpful & courteous. Definitely a place to spend a night or more.Genuine Expedia guest review
What a great place to spend the night! Beautiful property, very comfortable room, wonderful breakfast in the morning and very friendly owners! My wife and I wished we could have stayed longer! Don't miss out on this gem when you're in Wexford!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Beautiful and classy"
The farm/gardens were absolutely beautiful, the room: top-rate, and the breakfast: so delicious and beautifully presented- best of any we had all week. A highlight of our trip :)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Killiane Castle provides an idyllic setting for a B&B! The grounds are beautifully kept, and our family of four thoroughly enjoyed exploring the farm and the castle. We had a picnic dinner in the courtyard, which was one of the loveliest evenings of our entire trip. The rooms are spacious, clean, quiet, and beautiful! The hosts were gracious and helpful, […] and the breakfast was the best we had in all of Ireland! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Well worth the stay"
This was a high light of our stay in Ireland. My sis and I were here one night. We had a most wonderful time, conversing with other folks after dinner in the lounge. The room was fantastic. The beds were the best in Ireland, and the food marvelous. The history of the ruins was a bonus. We even got the opportunity to watch the milking of the cows and […] hanging with the chickens! I highly recommend Killiane castle. Paul was a gracious host. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Lovely country farm close to town. The hosts were very warm and friendly making you feel very welcome. Lots of history the family gladly shared with us we even got to see the cows milked! A castle and farm a delight we thoroughly enjoyed!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great room in a castle, what more could want?Genuine Hotels.com guest review
One of the finest places I've ever stayed at. Breakfasts were superb, our room clean, roomy and beautifully decorated, and we felt welcome and very comfortable. There's nowhere else in the SouthEast of Ireland that we'd even consider staying at if we returnGenuine Hotels.com guest review
For the amoumt paid, I really thought to expect more. Room was comfortable and great bed. Old time charm inside and out. Renovations happening when I was there, which I did not hear. But there was scaffolding on parts of the exterior which were an eye sore. Service was great. Breakfast was very average. But the dining room again had lovely old time […] charm. "Amazing B&B - It's a CASTLE!"
I booked this stay about 5 hours before showing up, and they were so welcoming when we arrived. I wanted something fun for one of my last nights in Ireland. And was this an amazing place! The hotel is a touch hard to find if you're not looking out for signs but once you see the road, it's a piece of cake. Kathleen, the owner and hostess, was amazing. […] Great conversation, friendly, happy, and genuinely out to make sure all have a good stay. The hotel is connected to a 600+ year old castle and it's a fantastic bit of history to enjoy. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. The views were wonderful. The hotel offers so much to do and see on just the property alone. From helping milk cows, to sheep, driving range, the list goes on. There are tea and yummy scones downstairs, as well as a honesty bar (a brilliant idea!) so you can relax and enjoy a fire in the evening with a drink of choice. Breakfast was made to order and included a buffet of items fresh from the farm the property has on it. Amazing food! John, the other owner, was so much fun to talk to and a great host. The bed was the most comfortable we'd slept in the entire trip. The shower temperature did tend to change a bit at random but not so drastic to scold or freeze and that's nothing that put me off. I loved every minute I was there and wished I had booked additional time. I can't wait to return. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Excellent Hotel Close to N25"
Hotel was chosen at random but what a choice, a four star haunted castle - unique and with a great sense of style and service. Only spent two nights there, wish it had been longer. "Unique Setting & Experience"
A very comfortable stay with our hosts making us most welcome in their home within a castle close to Wexford town which was also a very pleasant visit with good character shops, restaurant and pub options. Our stay in clean comfortable room was ideal being introduced to the location and facilities offered for our overnight stay, including an adjoining […] farm which provided the fare for a very nice breakfast which was attentively served by our hosts, who tried to ensure our every preference was well catered for, which was much appreciated and certainly hit the spot to send us on our travels with a smile and a bolg lán. The house provided a small cozy neuk for tea, coffee and a chat with other guests or a larger lounge for more company or a private retreat, depending on your preference, as well as a source of a nightcap if the mood took you. Attention to detail was noted here with fresh ice provided for your Uisce beatha or in your room for cooling drink. Overall a very pleasant stay in a unique setting, well catered for by our hard working hosts who strived to make us welcome and at home with them during our stopover. "Beautiful location. Lovely room. great breakfast!"
Fabulous guesthouse located in truly beautiful grounds. First class breakfasts. Really friendly proprietor. Will stay there again. Would recommend to everybody.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This is the second time we have stayed at Killiane Castle and when we decided to travel Pembroke Dock to Rosslare I didn't have to think where I was going to book a stay. The first time, three years ago, we found this B&B absolutely having good accommodation, great breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff, reasonably priced and ideally located. Having […] booked it the only doubt was would it be as good as last time? We shouldn't have worried it was just as good as previously and everything was as hoped for. This is a really good B&B for an overnight stop coming off the ferry at Rosslare or for touring round the SE corner of Ireland being close to Wexford. I hope to be able to stay again on our next visit to Ireland. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great for a trip from/to Rosslare"
We were only at Killiane Castle for less than 12 hours as we were leaving early for the boat home. The owners were very friendly and offered us an early (and very yummy) breakfast due to our departure time. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. You could get tea/coffee and homemade biscuits downstairs as well as wifi.Genuine Expedia guest review
Only stayed one night but the room was very comfortable. The en suite bathroom was clean and of a good size. We were on the second floor so a couple of stairs to content with but that was no problem for us. There were ground floor rooms available so if mobility was an issue perhaps let them know before you arrive. There was a tennis court and croquet […] in the immediate garden. There was also a path that you could wander along that took you through the farm. We drove to the beach nearby for dinner. Unfortunately we slept in the next morning (obviously quiet enough!) so missed breakfast. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"worth a visit if you're overniting in Wexford"
We stayed here one night and it was fine. Watch out for very, very weak water pressure in showers. Only places for dinner are (a) a local restaurant just about 500 m from the hotel and (b) going back into Wex. Option "a" is not good. Option "b" is a pain in the neck.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Confortable, understated luxury"
Killiane Castle is in a peaceful location and allowed a calm and restful, if brief, stop in the middle of long journey, though I should have liked to have stayed longer. There was a warm welcome, the rooms were comfortable, tasteful and relaxing, the breakfast was well cooked as as requested. I will certainly stay there again, in fact have already […] booked. "Very good but slightly underwhelming"
Nothing much wrong but the room was less impressive than the photos suggested and the bathroom was very sterile (felt a little like a hospital). Radiator made a frustrating noise all night and the breakfast was, again, good but not great. The staff were nice and helpful and the location great. There really wasn't much wrong but having heard so many […] positive things, seen all these beautiful pictures, and looked at all the awards this place had won, we were both expecting something grander than we found. "A hidden gem"
This is a very beautiful old building which has been beautifully refurbished, displaying elegance and modern comfort. The room was tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable. We were warmly welcomed and really enjoyed our stay here. Best of all for me though was the wonderful selection of breakfast options. The array of different fruits and nuts etc. […] was better than I've come across in any hotel or guest house, and all laid out in beautiful Nicholas Mosse pottery bowls. "Stay in a castle!"

The room and breakfast were very good and the ability to be able to look around the Castle and its grounds was very welcome. The owners were friendly and helpful as we arrived later than expected due to delays attributed to the Ferry service.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
