"Unexpected gem!"
This hotel is at the standard of a Chicago boutique hotel, and I know because I have lived in the road for work for the past year. The attention to detail and quality is everywhere from the design of the hotel and look of the rooms. The bed was very comfortable and the linens where obviously of high quality. Breakfast was delicious and healthy (eggs, potatoes, yogurt, etc). The guest service was always courteous and helpful in the requests that I made. An excellent hotel!

"Newly renovated hotel"
Stayed here before under different name/ownership, with the hotel accommodations being okay. Booked a room here last minute as there were few hotel vacancies in the area and pleasantly surprised. Hotels.com was cheaper than the price booking over the phone. The room was updated with a big flat screen TV with lots of channels (even kids channels) wet bar, fridge and keurig coffee machine. The restaurant was really nice and had great food. We ate dinner there that night and the next morning they had complimentary breakfast. The hot food (eggs, french toast sicks and hot oatmeal bar) was okay. I really liked the muffins! Great updated hotel! Will be there again! Great outdoor pool, so bring your swimsuits in summertime.

"Hidden gem..."
This hotel is a wonderful hidden gem! The room was very clean, the hotel grounds immaculate, and the service top-notch! There is a lovely pool and lounging area in the courtyard, which is completely surrounded by the guest rooms, offering a peaceful, beautiful place to relax or enjoy swimming, the hot tub, or sauna. Wonderful complimentary hot breakfast, serving up better than typical options. The location is a bit off the beaten path, but well worth the drive. Will definitely be staying again!

"3.5 stars is a stretch, but still a nice place!"
From reading the other reviews, I had in my mind a big city level fancy hotel in the middle of nowhere. This was not that. It was indeed a hotel somewhat nicer than your average Hampton Inn, etc, I have no complaints. It just wasn't quite the Waldorf my mind had made it into, but I didn't need that anyway. I did not know the opportunity to try the breakfast, but must give credit to the front desk staff. My spouse and I overslept and did not wake up until an hour after check out. We immediately rang the desk and they were very gracious, telling us to take our time getting ready, and that we would not incur any additional charges. Considering it was a Friday night that could have gone quite differently and the understanding was appreciated. Also the bed was extremely comfortable, obviously! :)

"Marshfield, WI business trip"
The hotel was recently remodeled. So overall aesthetic was good. The rooms had dust so thick that I had to take the tissue and wipe everything down. Housekeeping is not at all acceptable in my book. Overall service was good from front desk check in/out and free breakfast was accommodating.

"Great outdoor courtyard, pool and firepit"
Contemporary, clean, excellent beds, linens, rooms are quiet. Exceptional staff and full buffet for hot breakfast. We really enjoyed the courtyard and fire pit. Especially nice for adult and business travelers. Great place to stay!

"Modern and great for the price"

"High end for low budget"
Was pleasantly surprised by the modern look, "newness", service, and amenities of this hotel. I thought it would be a toss up vs Holiday Inn/etc. however, this hotel is THE place to stay in Marshfield. Very fresh, well-made dinner at modest prices. Best meal of my business trip.

"Modern in rural"
Hotel Marshfield is a great place seemingly out in the middle of rural Wisconsin, but since I am a city dweller Marshfield may not actually be considered rural! The hotel was modern with wonderful amenities including a courtyard pool patio area with two hot tubs, a firepit with surrounding chairs and couches, and a foutain feature in the pool. The room was spacious and comfortable and had a snack bar and beverage setup to add to the comfort. The reason I did not give this a straight five star rating was the shower which had an odd showerhead and sprayed out onto the toilet seat and floor. No matter how I adjusted it, it produced the same result. I know this is a minor concern at best. The breakfast was nice and coffee was hot. Overall I would definitely stay there again when in the area.

"Great hotel for travelers to northern Wisconsin"
I have allergies and must be very selective about the hotels where I sleep. This one was newly remodeled and thus very clean and free of must or mold! The staff was exceptionally helpful, but the complimentary breakfast could be better :)

"Great hotel!"
I'm a business traveler and stay at Hiltons or Marriotts mainly for the points, but there is neither in Marshfield. So I decided to stay here and it was a great decision! Newly renovated, clean, modern rooms, great customer service and a nice free breakfast buffet. I loved the location too. I go for morning runs and there is a park/zoo nearby where you can run around the perimeter seeing wolves, elk, and buffalo.

"Best Hotel I have stayed in lately"
Hotel was renovated with high end furnishings done tastefully. Staff was very accomodating. Great pool, sauna and hot tub as well as bike share program. We generally go outside the hotel for food, however, every meal at th hotel was worth staying for.

"Nice Surprise in Marshfield"
Have had previous occasions to stay in Marshfield and found the town to be lacking in options in the 3 stars category. Was very pleased with this hotel. Recently renovated, clean and comfy. The staff was very nice. Too bad no loyalty points, but I'd stay here again!

"Traveling on business"
I travel all the time on business and I am very particular about where I will stay. I was nervous about staying in a hotel I had never heard of. I was so pleased with everything from the lobby to the restaurant and the pool area. The room was one of the nicest I have ever stayed in. Very clean, great bed and sheets. The flat screen was big and HD. I went back to the front desk in the morning to tell them how much I liked the room.

"Comfortable and quiet"
Love this hotel. Rooms are clean, breakfast is beyond words wonderful -not your standard warmed up continental breakfast. Staff is very accommodating. Careful, room keys automatically deactivate, if you have a late checkout you could get caught.

"beautifully renovated hotels"
we had stayed at the hotel prior to the new owner renovating. The rooms are beautifully appointed and decorated and the common areas are gorgeous. We enjoyed appetizers and drinks at the bar area which were delicious. We will definitely be back in summer when the pool an outdoor areas are open

"A&B Process visit"

"Overnight stay"
Hotel is very deceiving from the outside, but when you walk inside it is very warm and welcoming. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Restaurant was good. If ordering appetizers, order the smaller portions. You do get a lot of food with the smaller portion.

"Great stay but then bad billing experience"
I booked the hotel thorough Expedia and was greatly surprised and extremely happy with the hotel conditions, staff and just overall cleanliness of the hotel. It was recently renovated and it was done top to bottom. Rooms were very well laid out, Gym had all new equipment and included free weights and nautilus machine as well as mats. Restaurant had good food and service and the breakfast was typical for restaurant "buffet" style. As it is in Marshfield you are central to most restaurants and clients, however you can easily stay in and work. WIFI did work as well, not always the case The pool area looked fantastic as well but sadly I did not have a chance to utilize it. When I checked out they offered to email me a receipt for my incidentals so I could go quickly. There was an error but they resolved it immediately and were very apologetic. I would definitely stay here again and I would recommend it to anyone.

Staff friendly. Dog friendly hotel. Bathroom sink gorgeous but not functional for a woman with contacts/makeup. No counter space, just a small shelf. Bed was very hard. Exceptionally clean and modern room.

Everything was well maintained. It was very clean; and the workout facilities were excellent. I usually have a hard time with the pillows and beds due to back issues, but the beds were extremely comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised. The breakfast was a nice touch.

I viewed the hotel on line and saw that it was a completely renovated modern hotel. They did a fine job. The rooms are very nice and comfy. They have a restaurant that has good food and service. They have lots of space and little booths so you can have more privacy and be cozy while dining. They gave us a complimentary drink card, so if you bought one drink you got one free. Also has complimentary breakfast. The outside of the building looks old, so if I wouldn't have looked on line I would have driven past and skipped it. Glad we stayed there.

The hotel is very clean and maintained well, which is what I'm looking for most importantly. The service was slow at Libbys when we got lunch (the waitress never came back we often had to get up and help ourselves to finding things). I've been to hotels where the staff is very friendly but I would say the energy was average (even if I'm a younger guest I am paying the same price as everyone else).

Great hotel! We have stayed here before, under a different name, which was okay, subpar.. but we booked it this weekend as there was only a couple hotels that still had vacancy. We were impressed. Rooms were updated, clean, good service, pool looked awesome.. Great restaurant as we were there for dinner and complimentary hot breakfast the following morning. Dogs are allowed as we were concerned with noise, but didn't hear barking. Will definitally be staying there again! Keurig machine in room and lots of updates!!

We've booked two meetings at the hotel. Staff is very accommodating and the facilities are modern. Internet was a bit of a struggle, but we managed. The on-site bar/restaurant was a bonus in that no one had to drive anywhere.

Great place to stay. I would stay here again. Nicely appointed rooms, great courtyard. Good food, including the complimentary breakfast. I didn't use the complimentary bicycles out front, but I like the fact they were there and will likely use them next time I visit.

I use to stay here when it was the Clearwater. Now under new ownership and management it is very nice. Would certainly recommend Hotel Marshfield over all other hoyels in the area and i have stayed in all of them!

Great place to stay! Motel was very clean. Staff very friendly. Pool area very nice and clean. Beds were very comfortable. Easy to find. This review requires to many characters. Almost didn't summit because of this lengthy section.

As a Chicagoan and an admitted hotel snob, Hotel Marshfield is an unexpected cool surprise. As we drove north from Chicago through fields and dairy farms, my husband and I did not expect much from Htel Marshfield. At first sight, not much to see but wait until you get inside- contemporary decor, cool vibe and a nice bar and restaurant. Honestly, the food could have been average but the Midwestern kindness and hospitality of the staff was overwhelming....we're not in the city anymore. Bravo Hotel Marshfield!
