"helpful staff, nice pool, needs a "refresh""
03/05/14 AlexIonita Bucharest, Romania
We (9 people) rent the 4 bedrooms villa. Found a clean pool, spacy rooms, willing staff, in a good location and we considered it a good deal. If you are not so fussy and if you ca miss the needs of small repairs and the need of at least one more safe, i recommend it!

Staff was really friendly and we felt like VIPs! Personalised service and patient in every single question we asked, they got us everything we wanted. The staffs, especially Yudi and Ash, go out of their way just for our request and i guarantee that no other 5 star hotel i stayed in before, help us to maximise the trip to the fullest the way they did. We booked for a 3 bedroom villa for 5 in our recent stay.. Complimentary airport pickup was given and they were so nice to drive us to the nearest convenience store just for my friends to get ciggrette. Our driver, Ash, was supposingly just to get us to Jimbaran for dinner but upon our request to pick up one of our friends who were staying in another villa, he went to check on the route from our villa to theirs, when he got lost along the way, he went down the car servaral times to check with the locals and kept going round as our friend's villa was a little 'ulu', he even kept apologising during the journey! Another staff, Yudi, acceed to every single request we made. When we wanted mosquito coils, they told us the staff will deliver it to us and told us to wait in our villa. The staff arrived at our villa only half an hour later, but to our surprise, they actually ran out of it and specially went out to get it for us. They even got us mosquito spray. We only checked with him that if there is any float available that we can borrow for the swimming pool, they went to get us 2 brand new ones, inflat it for us and leave it in the pool while we were out for lunch. I will DEFINITELY choose this villa again. Location wise, we were bascially in the middle of everything, no matter whether its airport, kuta, beach or food.

Stayed there for 5days...everything was wonderful from the villa, rooms, pool and services. Staff are helpful and friendly. Willing to help in any kind of request. They anticipate all the guest needs. I will definitely stay in this villa again when I visit Bali. Convenience to shopping, beach and abt 15min to Kuta by bike :) Keep up guys. From Zara & friends

We (group of 8 friends) stayed it the 4 bedroom villa. If you are not fussy people and you are looking for a good value villa for a group 8 then I would recommend this for you. The villa has a large pool with a spa bath attached and a spacious gazebo to relax in. The 'main villa' has a master bedroom (with ensuite), kitchen, massive dining table and lounge downstairs. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms with double beds and ensuite bathrooms. On the other side of the pool is a smaller one room building with an ensuite. The smaller building is actually two levels with a double bed on each so the entire villa could actually sleep 10. The service from office and cleaning staff was basic but adequate. I actually liked that there was no stay in maid/cleaner like with other villas as I find this a little intrusive. The staff are generally helpful and polite and appear to be honest. I found that the villa was clean but a little bit run down and in need of some cosmetic repairs. It is a bit of a shame because it has so much potential. Pros: 1. location- easy walk to many attractions in Legian and the booming Seminyak/Pettinget areas to the North. 2. Firm, comfortable beds. 3. Huge villa with plenty of space to spread out and relax. 4. Massive pool. 5. Good value for large group. Cons: 1. Heavy rain causes the pool to turn green which can take a day or two to clean. 2.The villa has some plumbing issues- inconsistent shower pressure, toilets sometimes don't flush, no hot water for a large period of our stay. 3. There is only one safe in the villa and it is not bolted in. 4. The front door to the villa can be locked from the outside with a padlock if you are leaving but you cannot lock it from the inside. However, all of the bedroom doors have locks.
"they stole from us"

We are a group of 9 travelling to Bali and we booked this villa. We brought with us a bottle of whiskey to enjoy our nights there. While we didn't finish the whole bottle in one night, we left the bottle right in the living room. When we were back from trip the next day, we found the whiskey was getting lesser. At first we did not noticed, it was till the third day that the whiskey was almost empty when we were back. This is totally unacceptable!!! Not even to mention the bad service they provided!
"Dirty and old"

We (two families, 8 people) had booked the villa for 6 nights but had to move after one night. We are not difficult people, but could not stay there because it was so dirty. There were few seats in both the living room and kitchen, one sunbed for 8 people. The villa was not like the pictures on booking.com at all! By all means, do not book this villa!
"Bit grubby considering the price tag but good location and nice building and pool"

Where do I start? I guess all in all this place isn't at all bad however don't expect super luxury or anything more than the most basic service. Considering each night costs well over $250 I would have expected the following: a) spotless bathrooms, b) hot water showers, c) soap and shampoo changed on occasion. English levels are basic however the staff are very well meaning - in the end we elected to use other drivers and book our own trips etc as it was just too much of a hassle. The villa building itself is very nice and there are comfy beds and a lovely garden and pool, but the whole place could do with a lick of paint, electric safety check, and general plumbing/tap maintenance. But if you're planning to use all the rooms and have lots of people it works out good value. Just don't expect uber super deluxe - and take the pics online with a pinch of salt.
"Love the pool area, needs a refresh"

Stayed here for a week, stunning garden and pool area very well looked after. The villa and pavillion is looking a bit 'tired' and just needs a refresh. The place is in good condition overall, with an excellent layout and very user friendly, just could do with a really good clean. Recovering the cushions and lounge would also make a big difference. The staff were friendly and non intrusive. The 24 hour reception was not open all the time. Excellent location just off the main road with restaurants etc very close and great shopping nearby. Such a relaxing place to hang out in the pavillion area, would definitely come again.
"Amazing and Surreal"

I was a travel agent and when I booked this villa I booked it as it was the best looking private pool villa I could find for 4 nights, and I honestly didn't have the highest of expectations. How I was wrong! This Villa was amazing! It was just my boyfriend and myself and when we walked in the gate of our villa we were blown away at how beautiful it was! It is in a great location, close to shops, markets and restaurants which was perfect for us as we only had 4 nights in Bali. I will be recommending this villa to any friends and family looking at going to Bali! Very happy and will definitely be back!
"Love the pool, but ageing facility"

Bali Puri Ratu Villas is located at the side of a narrow road. Look out for Cafe Mocha and Circle K as landmarks (if you have passed Cafe Mocha and Warong Made on your right, you need to make a U turn). The signboard is a small orange signboard as of 8 December 2012. There are 3 villas, with variable number of rooms. I stayed in the 4 room villa which was value for money. Each villa has a private pool, which the kids loved. There's also a nice Balinese koi pond. For entertainment there's a 40 inch flat screen connected to 60 channels, and a dvd player. There's also wifi. Hot water is available , as well as aircond. There's a stove, plates and cutlery so you can cook to save money. If you need groceries, head towards Warong Made where's there's an IndoMart which is cheaper than the grocery store in front of you. For those with an Asian stomach, there's a warong in front which sells cheap mixed rice for breakfast. Cafe Mocha is good for European breakfasts and pastries.
