"Home away from home"
We really enjoyed staying in the apartment as it gave us the sense that this was our home away from home. This was a much different stay than a typical hotel, you will feel like you are staying in your own apartment in this location which really added much to our trip. One of our favorite aspects of the apartment was the shared courtyard space in the […] middle. The apartment manager set up a little table for us to sit at and enjoy a relaxing lunch, it was so relaxing. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"2 Nights in Venice - Locanda Ca' del Console Apts"
We were in Venice for two nights and chose of stay in this apartment, accommodating three of us. The apartment is some-what difficult to locate, as it most points of interests (poi) located in Venice's islands. When we did locate the apartment, we were kept waiting for some time, whilst a member of staff came to us from another location, and was not […] aware of our arrival! As they did not have our details to hand, we were told that we will be charged on our last day, unbeknown to me that some bookings through Hotels.com (or Expedia). The condition on the apartment, was good but as it is located nr a stagnant water-way there were mosquitoes so beware of them and the odd bites. Location of this apartment is not too bad once you get to it, less than 5min from the main street which has many shops/restaurants and close to main water-bus/ Gondolas/ river taxis to various poi. Contact with staff is rare after initial meet-n-greet so it is essentially left in your care.

Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Apart appertement in pittoreske omgeving"
Zimmer i.O.
Nette Leute. "Lovely little place to stay."
01/07/15 Kris B London, United Kingdom
Excellent quiet location, not to far from the main places but far enough away not to be touristy and rushed. It was exactly what I expected a typical Venetian home to be like, very traditional and quaint. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily stay when I next visit Venice. Let us leave our bags on check out day and they extended breakfast on two occasions for us and the hotel coffee was excellent, even by Italian standards.
"True Venice Experience!"

A wonderful place to experience Venice. Great location near Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's. Not easy to find, but when you do it wil be worth it! The directions given on their website are good - just be sure to catch a vaporetto going to the left when you leave the train station. We took a #2 (on the left) but it went right, into the lagoon and the long way around - had to get off at a St. Mark's stop and get another one to Rialto -- consequently our arrival was quite late. But they were expecting us and gave a warm welcome. Our room overlooked the canal (with 2 balconies). It was large and very comfortable with a lovely sofa and tables. The bath was huge - separate tub and shower plus double sinks. Spotlessly clean, staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely suggest this to others - you won't be sorry. Also, there's a lovely little restaurant just around the corner and across the canal - "Ostana da Simson" - you can see it from your window. Fabulous food and the service was unbelievable! What a warm and inviting place to enjoy good Italian food!

"Lovely friendly place, atmospheric, quirky guest house"
10/22/14 Jayemm123 Sheffield, England, United Kingdom
Great place, a mixture of vintage retro decor and outright kitsch! It had most things we expected, a comfortable bed, a fridge, a quiet location. It had a few extras, such as its own water landing, friendly staff. What it did lack was the opportunity to get a cup of coffee at anytime other than breakfast. Breakfast was nice, croissants, cereal, yoghurt, fresh bread. Its conveniently located near some lovely quiet squares, with restaurants and cafes to choose from.
"Great location , true guest house experience"
10/19/14 lindbern2012 Sydney, Australia
My criteria for choosing this hotel was the travel maxim " two streets back". Stay close to St Marks but not too close. First important point, get a private water taxi and they can take you to the drop off point right next to the hotel, even on the hotel side! Those of you who have travelled to Venice know the importance of this. There is no lift so you will be carrying you bags up two floors. Once inside you truly feel you are in someones home ,collectables and Venetian furniture everywhere, even a lounge room overlooking the canal. The rooms are large and clean and the bathrooms modern and clean. The staff are great with restaurant recommendations and walking itenaries all given with much enthusiasm . One of the best seafood restaurants in Venice is at the end of the lane , impossible to book so just go early , so great on a tiring first night.
"Great Guest House, Good Location and Good Value for Money"
10/19/14 Pinkchocolatejoey York
Recently stayed here in September 2014 for our 10th wedding anniversary trip to beautiful Venice. We had a courtyard room which was nicely decorated, had a modern bathroom, air conditioning and a comfortable bed. The welcome we got when we arrived was warm and friendly. The view from our room was nothing special, but then again for the price and the amount of time we spent in the room that didn't matter. Remember this is a Guest House and not a Hotel, so the facilities are minimal, albeit you do get a nice breakfast. If you're expecting a reception desk, bar and views of the Grand Canal then this place isn't for you. However, the location is good and quiet, mid way between St Marks square and the Rialto bridge; which means you get a good nights sleep and you don't break the bank for the privilege. Staying here meant we could afford nice meals out, two gondola rides and got total relaxation when we needed it. A wide range of people stay in the Guest House, everybody from students, to small families, to older/younger couples. We loved the quirky nature of the place and a feeling that you were staying in 'real' venice.
"Little secret in Venice"
10/17/14 RiriDu Sargans, Switzerland
We spent 3 nights at this small hotel. The room was huge, clean, the staff friendly and the breakfast just fine. It is a little hard to find, but it is worth it. Close to Rialto Bridge, walking distance to most attractions.
"One of the most family friendly Guest Houses ever seen"
10/14/14 060660 Wädenswil
In walking distance of just everything. Park your car at the Parking San Marco, then line 2 to Rialto. If not familiar with the city you need someone to meet you at the Rialto station, particularly at night, otherwise and without GPS you would be lost. Otherwise it is a 10 min. walk. The house is a typical Venetian house in early baroc style (1640) with room ceilings 4m high. Room size is more than sufficient. The lady of the house - Marina - and her helpers are warmly hearted. The entire place is family friendly and to be recommended to those who are not after Grandhotel perfection or looking for modern design. We aould certainly come back.
"Very very disappointing"
08/31/14 Vivienne M London, United Kingdom
We stayed at this B&B for 3 nights and found it to be very disappointing. Having read some promising reviews we were really looking forward to our stay and mini break in Venice but from the moment we arrived we were very disappointed. The room we were allocated was not the standard / size booked and due to the hotel apparently being full our request for another room was declined. We were not moved during the entire 3 day stay and yet it was more than obvious there were plenty of empty rooms available. The room was an odd shape with a very dangerous half step into the main body of the room. It was dark and quite gloomy. Although the room had some character the furniture was shabby and in part broken. The room was in need of refurbishment. There were two large rugs on the floor - both of which slipped about - quite dangerous in fact. Our room was directly off the breakfast area and was quite noisy from about 6.30 onwards. We also felt we had no privacy due to the ill fitting door with a broken lock. The room felt dusty and old. The en suite was clean and reasonably new. On our first night we had no TV - no WIFI and one bulb out. This was addressed the following day as no one could be found that evening and we were not told how to contact anyone either ? There were no refreshment making facilities - not even a glass ? No bar available and again no way of asking for help or assistance. We found this very strange. This place is advertised as a Hotel and apparently a very good one ?! It is in fact a B & B with some lovely antiques but limited facilities and certainly no 24 hr reception. The continental breakfast is below standard and again a very disappointing aspect of our stay. In its favour this B&B is very well located and the actual building is gorgeous. We found it quite hard to find but only 10mins walk from Rialto. There are some lovely rooms if you are lucky enough to be given one. We booked a deluxe double but that is certainly not what we were given. The canal view was lovely though and There were some unhappy guests staying at the same time as us and it created a strange / stressful / uncomfortable atmosphere which isn't what you want to experience on holiday. I would not recommend this B & B due to our unhappy experience. Our complaints were not taken seriously which is another reason not to go again. There are much better places to stay in Venice - we have stayed in them over the years. I only hope our dreadful experience will promote further checks on this establishment which result in a more accurate and honest description .
"A little disappointing "
08/24/14 Mel M
We stayed here for 3 nights during a quick stop off in Venice. The staff were all very lovely and welcoming but the hotel itself could do with a little TLC. Our room was sufficient, but fairly small so not a great deal of room as we had a lot of luggage. The bathroom was nice, very clean with fresh towels each day and the bed comfortable. However, the air conditioning was rubbish (not great during August!) and the fridge didn't work, the curtain rail gave way during the night and fell off the wall and the door handle to the room fell off in my hand 3 times! All small problems but pretty annoying considering we paid €100 a night. The winning factor was most definitely the location, (although hard to find, as are most places in Venice, but poorly signposted with only a small sign on the wall) easy walking distance to main attractions but I'm sure we could have got better for our money.
