"Close to Piazza Sam Marco"
We had some difficulty finding the hotel at first but there after found it centrally located in Piazza Stefano. New hotel, spotless, good, accommodating staff, nice breakfast, great beds! Enjoy!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Excellent WE à venise"

Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

We went to Venice for the carnival in February and it was altogether a lovely new experience as we have always been in summer or spring. Ca Mariele is a charming place, off the beaten track but yet close to transport link and the local piazza. Only problem, as with any apartment rental, is that there is a room service only in the morning. TV channels were also not for English patrons and the helpful receptionist couldn't make it right. We would go again as it was clean, well decorated and the bedding/bed was 1st class.

If you are looking for a good experience in Venice, look no further. This is a great place. My family (party of 4) just stayed here last week. As we were checking in, another family was on their way out and their comment to us was you will enjoy this place....and true enough, my family and I had the best hotel experience during our 10 days trip in Italy visiting 3 cities...Rome, Florence and Venice. We had apartment with 2 rooms on split floors with a working kitchenette and a dining table. The room had very comfortable beds and a great clean bathrooms on both floors so we did not had to all share one bathroom. Overall you will not go wrong signing up here....
"Spacious apartment style accommodation"
07/13/14 Amalia N Brussels, Région De Bruxelles-Capitale, Belgium
We stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment Torcello, on the third floor that sleeps 4 people. It was a nice, rather spacious flat with a sofa turned into a double bed ( the mattress was not great and the sommier made squeaky noises), TV set, table with 4 chairs, kitchenette and a bathroom and a split floor with a double bed. 3 nice windows let a lot of light in and air condition kept us cool. Wifi was free and rather reliable. There was a very basic continental breakfast in the price (juice, bread rolls, biscotti, croissants, jam and butter with a warm beverage) served in the room from 8:00-10:00am. There was no kettle for coffee or tea but a tea maker (nespresso style) machine in the room offering sweet lemon tea capsules only(!) - they had run out, they said. The apartment could be more clean and the house keeping could wash the breakfast dishes instead of only taking away the breakfast tray. There is no elevator, so you have to carry your luggage up yourself and reception is only open after 14:30. You have to pay upfront upon arrival and if you check in after 19:30 you have to pay 30€ extra. If you need your room to be cleaned, you have to empty it around 10:00. Check out time is also early, around 10:00. The location of the hotel is great, at square S.Stefano, not too far from the vaporetto stop S.Angelo. Generally the hotel although not luxurious, it was very decent and if I travelled again with kids, I would return to Ca'Mariele.
"Good value for a spacious, quiet apartment in San Marco"
06/29/14 travelbabs Alameda, California
In our 5-city tour of France/Italy, our family of 5 concluded that we had the best accommodation at Ca' Mariele. We had a 2 bedroom apartment (each BR with its own bathroom) -- very spacious (it was a former palace we were told) with high ceiling, with mini- kitchen. We bought fresh bread, salami, good cheese from a mini supermarket a block away -- that took care of our breakfast. Excellent location: 10 min walk to St Mark's square, a few steps from Campo Stefano square which has nice restaurants, just one mini- bridge away from Vaporetto stop, and very close to the Accademia bridge. This 2 bedroom apartment is cheaper than having 2 hotel rooms, yet, more spacious. Good value, I'd say... Make sure you contact the staff before arrival as they are in house only until 7:30 pm... Would stay here again if given another opportunity to visit this enchanting city!
"Stay away! Dishonest/horrible experience"

We stayed here 2 weeks ago. They asked us to pay upon arrival and then showed us to our room; opened the door, said nothing other than breakfast would be served as of 8:30 am. When we came home at night, we discovered the A/C was broken. It was 33C in the room. We realized this is why there was an out of place small fan on the table. The heat was unbearable at night. When we tried to take a shower to cool off, we discovered the shower drain was not working. The entire bathroom flooded all the way to the kitchen. (we had to bathe the children on the kitchen sink in the morning). When we tried calling to ask for help they replied and saying nothing could be done. For two weeks we have been trying to reach the administration and have heard nothing, despite multiple attempts and messages. It is not the fact that the apartment had issues, but the fact that they knew about them when giving us the key and said nothing, compounded by the lack of response that makes this place terrible. There are many nice places to stay in Venice. Don't choose this one.
"Charm and Modernity for parties of 4 to 6"
09/09/13 Stephen O Washington, D.C.
Visited Venice with our daugher and granddaughter, age 7. Wanted two bedrooms and alternatives to restaurants. Ca'Mariele (3523 Calle de Pestrin), a few steps from Campo San Stefano met our needs. Two bedrooms, two baths, a living-dining area and a kitchenette. Fulsome European breakfast brought to the suite each morning. The rooms maintain the charm of an older building (e.g.wooden beams, leaded windows, charming courtyard view), with the necessity modernity (e.g., updated bathrooms, air conditioning). Not inexpensive, but with a fold out double bed in the living room can accommodate 6. Walking distance to Rialto Bridge, Accademia, Piazza San Marco. Management on premises intermittently. One shower under stairs so even sitting in tub, no way to use it. Still, would use it again.
"Very happy stay."

Very happy to write the first review for this apartment/hotel. We booked for two evenings but the air conditioning system was down for the first evening and so we were (after much deliberation and negotiation, however) put up in a four/five-star hotel in Venice, with (again, after much negotiation) a water taxi taking us and our bags from the original aparmtne to the replacement hotel. We returned to the booked apartment the next evening. Very good location, with decent restaurants/cafes etc nearby and a water taxi stop just a few steps away. The apartment itself was spacious and very modern, obviously quite newly-refurbished and obviously that much effort was put into designing the details to ensure a comfortable stay. Breakfast was delivered to our apartment in the morning, and which included the usual range of croissants/pains and juice/coffee/hot chocolate. Not the cheapest option in Venice but would certainly recommend this for future travellers.

Wifi gratuit.
