Genuine Expedia guest review
"Hotel close to Basilica di San Marco"
The hotel is situated in the center of Venice, close to Basilica di San Marco. Nice squares and restaurants are in its vicinity. All in all a good hotel for its price. We stayed in room 6, a large room with bathroom. The beds were good, the bathroom was clean. Indeed (reacting to earlier complaints) it is an old Venetian building with its problems, […] the staircase is quite small and the entry was quite humid in the winter (as is the entire city). No traces of bedbugs in room 6. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Alles in allem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ok.

Genuine Expedia guest review

It is about 7-10 minutes away from St. Mark's Square and was near to places that we wanted to visit. We were given 2 rooms on the ground floor which were quite small (2 single beds, a stool and a bedside table and a small path to the toilet). The rooms and walkway had this damp/moldy smell and lack of ventilation. There was no wifi connection in one of the rooms and had limited socket. For my room, we only have one functioning socket (the one in the bathroom was not functioning). So, it was either for the phone or for the fan. But, the staff at the reception were friendly and helpful.

NO wifi in the room, it is only available at the reception area with 1 bench seated for max 2 persons. No lift with a lots of staircase, please bring light luggage. We were lucky to stay at the level 1 room but we need to go up one level to use the shared bathroom. When other guests passed by our room to go up to the reception, there was some noise from the foot step. The room is very small with one close-stool in the room, not sure what is the usage. There is also a basin available in the room. Nothing to expect because you get what you pay.
"Nice simple hotel, great location"

Great little simple hotel in the heart of Venice, great location (doesn't get much better than that), really clean. Got given a private room even through we had paid for a shared one so that's great, really friendly staff.
"Don't stay outside, stay in Venice at this place!"
06/17/14 Fang Y Beijing, Beijing, China
I was considering to stay outside of Venice due to the high prices of the hotels and hostels within Venice. Nonetheless, I decided that I wanted to sleep in venice for at least a night and I found this budget hotel to stay. It was an awesome experience for me as I met 2 friendly argentina and an American over the night, experience the ventian night culture at San Marco. One notable mention is the innkeeper Fadi as he was very friendly and helpful. I left my laptop with him and came back later than the estimated time to retrieve from him, he was cool about it. And also, I manage to leave my luggage till late in the afternoon after i check out the next day, and Fadi took good care of it as well. Overall, despite the "seemingly" higher price to stay in Venice, it's all worth it because the transportation outside venice would add up to be more or less equal to staying a night in Venice aka 1 way trip from treviso to venice is about 7 euros, so both way 14 euros. In addition, its an hour or so away, so you probably have to leave Vencie by 11pm to catch the last few trains hence one can't enjoy the bustling night life in Venice. In conclusion, stay here! Its the cheapest alternative to stay in Venice in a safe environment, near the major square San Marco and plenty of water taxi available within the vincinity of the hotel.

Turned out a nice choice. You get what u pay for. Avoid rooms w/o bathroom in hot months (June-August ). No bugs. Quiet. 5 min from S.Mark. Very helpful people. Clean. Small rooms. If u have friends and want to make showdown impression, then avoid and on 3 stars. If you are in Venice for romance and you search for French beds: you welcomed here!

We stayed there a week (yeah, can you imagine=)). We stayed across the main building and that was eally nice. Typical room for 4 people, but own entrance (actually it was separate part of a building). We were given a key and could return at any time we wanted. Linen was changed every 2 days. Generally it was clean, but there were some ants eager to eat our cheese=)). Location is perfect - everything is really close, there are also several cafes and restaurants nearby. Very good variant for those who want to see Venice but can't afford all these glittering hotels.

You will get what you pay. I stayed 3 nights there .It takes about 7 minutes walk to get to Pizza San Marco square. It's a nice location. The man from front desk is really helpful. you might hear some guests or passer by are talking until 11 pm. It's ok for me. If you travel on budget, you can choose it.

This "dorm-room" is very uncomfortable and terribly overpriced. The light is horrible. Just clean enough to survive, but the moldy smell of the beds and in the air makes you feel rather like being in a very dirty place. During rainy days the whole place feels moist. The room is very small. It is rather the size of a double room. But they jammed into it four beds. The air gets bad accordingly. There is no space in the room for luggage. Beds are very slim. OK to sleep on. Sheets are clean without stain, but the bed covers seem to have been used for many times. The towel is only a hand towel. But a big towel can be borrowed for 2 Euros. The walls show a number of smashed mosquitos all over with dried blood traces. It probably helped that there was a big spider living in one corner. Curtains are not arranged, hanging half way down and are dirty. The bathroom toilet is smelly. The shower is a bit clogged. In early November, it was just OK, but in Winter this "apartment dorm" must be freezing. Only one little electric radiator was standing around. The electric sockets seem rather dangerous. When other people left, their beds were not cleaned but left in used condition since no other persons were expected. This place should not be more than 8 EUR per night. During weekend nights we paid 32, and other days 18 EUR. The only good thing: the location.
"Good location in Venice"
10/13/13 Likun X Florence
Hotel staff is very kind to help me bring my baggage upstairs, and also help take care of my baggage for the whole day. The hotel locates very near central attractions, which is very convenient for tourists. Still one advice to tourists: take a waterbus to the hotel, never walk from central station, otherwise you would suffer climbing across about twenty bridges with your heavy baggage.
"Avoid, avoid, avoid! - BED BUGS!!"
07/25/13 Annie N Springfield, Illinois
Hostels are a great choice of lodging for those traveling around Europe under a budget. While I was looking online for hostels in Venice, it was extremely hard to find one with a great price and location. When I came across Ca'Sa Linger on hostelbookers, the price/location/reviews easily made it an obvious choice for my lodging in Venice. However, my experience at this place was a complete nightmare. Most people complain about the endless steps that kill you every single time, but what really made this place a nightmare was the infestation of bed bugs. Yes, bed bugs.... At first we got a few bites, and didn't think too much of it. But by the end of the our third night, our bodies were COVERED in bites. These bites really ruined our stay in Venice and are not a joke. So if I were you, i would avoid staying at this place at all, because there is a chance you will stay in the same room as I did and be a victim of bed bugs.
