"Quiet yet convenient to San Marco and Murano"
The pros -- The hotel is easy to reach from Marco Polo airport since the Fondamente Nuove water-bus stop is close by. Krystyna, the owner, was very pleasant and helpful and easy to reach by phone when she wasn't at the desk and she accommodated our late arrival without complaint. It seems like a pretty good price for the location. Cannaregio is a good […] area to stay in if you don't like being hassled by the restaurant touts and flower guys and guys selling battery-powered junk and all the other standard irritations that come with the touristy areas (which is everything anywhere near San Marco). In the upscale hotels closer to the plaza, which is at most a 30 minute walk, you'd have all those annoyances the moment you walk out the door, from morning to night, not to mention the constant babbling and arguing of lost travelers trying to find their own hotels. (Venice is a labyrinth.) The cons -- The twin beds slide apart and the towels are as stiff as cardboard from being sun-dried. (It's common in Italy to call paired twin beds a queen or "matrimonio".) There's a certain sense of lost privacy since the hotel's three rooms are all right outside the concierge desk, but most of the time there's nobody around. The breakfast is pretty basic-- coffee, OJ, rolls, cream cheese, and yogurt-- not a home-cooked meal type thing. Overall it's a good place. Hotels are for sleeping, showering, and parking your stuff. This place meets that criteria perfectly and Krystyna is very helpful. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Lovely bedsit outside the tourist trap"
Lovely little bed and breakfast out of the way of the tourist areas, but very close to the water ferry terminal. Hostess was friendly and helpful, facilities were tidy and very beautiful.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great host & good location"
Krystyna was a great host and helpful with directions and any questions that we had. The breakfast every morning was satisfying and a good way to get our day started before heading out into the city. The room was a bit small and could use an update but still met our needs for the stay since we were there to see the city anyway! Would stay again at such […] a good value! "For people who need a quiet rest after a long day!"
Located in a quiet environment, far enough from the croud of tourists and close enough to begin your visit through Venice. Our room was small, but everything was there to accommodate our needs. We recommand this place.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Quaint B&B in Venice!"
Firstly, we were surprised to find that this was a B&B - basically staying in someone else's house - rather than a hotel. Because this was a private family-run B&B, they could only accept credit cards for the reservation, but payment had to be made in cash (euros). This was not communicated to us until one day before our arrival. I only happened to […] check my email the morning I was departing for the B&B, and hence, had to do a cash withdrawal via credit card from the money changer (which is very expensive coz of the service fees, exchange rate etc). Felt that this requirement to pay for the stay in cash could be indicated upfront on Ca'Bella's page on Hotels.com, or at least be emailed to us way in advance, so we would have sufficient time to make preparations. About the B&B itself; the instructions on Ca'Bella's website to find the place were quite detailed and useful; we found it in no time! The B&B is about 5-10mins walk away from the Fondamente Nove water bus stop; no need to cross any bridge (great coz we had huge luggages). It is also walking distance to the shopping areas (although it takes a bit of skill to navigate the streets of Venice). The B&B was quaintly furnished; the room and toilet were decent and clean too. While fresh towels were not provided daily automatically, we did ask the hostess Krystyna if she could accommodate our request, and she kindly did. Overall, the stay was pleasant, and Krystyna was helpful and accommodating to our requests! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Fantastic Venetian Taste"
I had a fabulous experience in Venice! Most of it caused by the Ca'Bella ;) Warm and friendly hospitality, great location and worth every penny. Cheers to the hosts, the lovely Krystyna, her friendly husband and their adorable Mikaela! Will definitely come back in future and fully recommend it to everybody who expects no less but a truly Venetian taste. Ciao! Rozy May […] 2013 Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hostess but terrible bed"
Nice small bed and breakfast. Nice and helpfull hostess. Clean and neat rooms. Bed was very uncomfortable and hard though. Furthermore the room was inefficiently soundproof. Breakfast was okey but disappoited that it could not be served early (7 in the morning) on departure day. Nice calm area near and close to the boat stop to the airportGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Ca' Bella Dear Acke, thank you for your review! We are happy than you had a nice stay and were mostly satisfied with our location, rooms and service! I'm sorry that you found the bed too hard. The beds have Wilford orthopedic mattresses, which are meant to be both comfortable and healthy and meet the needs and tastes of most people. Most guests really appreciate them and sleep well. Our breakfast time is 8:30 to 10, and if guests need it I'm often able to serve it also from 8.... but 7 was really too early, sorry... I think few hotels would serve breakfast one and a half hours before the normal time. However, guests can make tea or coffe themselves at any time in the common room :-) We are happy to tell that we've improved the sound insulation of the rooms! Not fully soud-proof yet, and we'lll try to improve it further. But it's much better than before :-) Kindest regards, Krystyna

"Super freundliches Bed & Breakfast"
"Quite and clean B&B in a good location"
Cute little B&B in a good location in the Sestiere Cannaregio, very close to the Fondamente Nuove vaporetto stop. Our room was very clean and quiet and looked out onto a little canal. I would definitely recommend this B&B - the lady who runs it was really friendly and helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Lite fint bed n breakfast hotell."
"Great place great owners"
02/04/15 Darrell C Seattle, Washington
My wife and I stayed here during our wedding anniversary. The owner really went out of her way to help me plan a special day and night. Including providing flowers, supper reservations, and private taxi tour of the canals and delivery to the restaurant. She even went so far as to meet us at the prearranged taxi meet spot to make sure we got off ok. We will stay here again on our next visit to Venice.
"Glad we stayed here"
10/26/14 Tom C Albany, New York
We lucked out staying at this three bedroom B and B in the quiet Cannereggio district in Venice. The location was in the northern part of Venice a few minutes from the Fundamente Nove. Krystyna was a wonderful host and provided for all of our needs including restaurant recommendations and special details about Venice that you would get only from a resident. She never tired of answering my many questions. We would stay here again. The breakfast was good and the room was comfortable. My only complaint was the need to pay our fee in cash rather than by credit card as I don't like to carry around large amounts of cash.

a unique and cosy place at a small canal. a kind couple who runs the place and they speak 4 languages. Italian, german, English and Chinese.:-) Quiet neighbourhood but not far from center and Ghetto Novo is a 20 min. walk. situated near Fondamente Nove where you take Alilagune to the airport. good breakfast and coffee or tea is available all day long. We would go here again. nice restaurants and bars nearby.
"Very charming bed and breakfast with a beautiful outdoor patio."

Perfect choice for a Bed and Breakfast!! Krystyna was the perfect host. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and asked what time we would like to eat breakfast. It was perfect after a long day if travel. The area was nice and quiet at night to sleep but close enough to the nightlife to enjoy both. We would absolutely stay here again if we return to Venice.

This is a lovely, clean, family-run B&B in a convenient location in Venice. Quiet and out of the way, but close to attractive sites and restaurants, etc. (Nothing is very far away in Venice.) We found the owner, Krystyna, to be very helpful and quite willing to meet every need and make our stay a pleasant one. Provided a map and advice for getting around, set up a lovely breakfast in the small garden area, was willing to accommodate us in everything. Included fast internet service, minibar in room. She will send detail info on how to find their place, as Venice is an adventure to find places. Be aware that they don't accept credit cards, cash only. We'd stay here again!
"Best B&B ever, almost a hotel!"
04/24/14 ArturRubinstein Munich, Germany
I've been to this B&B already a few times and am planning to go there again in June. Even if I'm usually not the type of guy who rates stuff, I feel I must do it in this case, because this B&B is exceptional. I'm a frequent business traveler so I know all kinds of accomodation. I visited this B&B on vacation (wanted to try something else than the upperclass hotels I usually visit on business trips ;-) ), and what I got was still the standard of at least a 3-star-hotel or in some respects, even more. I'm talking about flatscreen TV, well-filled minibar in the room, high-performance WLAN (for free!) and an "italian" breakfast that actually shouldn't be called so, as it's much more than that (usually "italian" means some dry bread and maybe some marmelade or honey, here you get much more to select from). Not to mention the friendly and helpful owners, who show much more motivation than in most hotels (where I sometimes have the impression they think of me as their slavedriver). Some of the previous postings talk about baby stuff lying around - yes, the baby is cute!! ;-) - , the tiny garden or smell coming out from wherever. Those guys better go to Excelsior on Lido. You're in Venice, so enjoy venetian style.
"friendly bed and breakfast"

We enjoyed our stay, the room was not large but ample for 2 of us and a nice warm bedroom to sleep in, the shower was adequate and nice hot water. Breakfast was simple but good the owner was helpful and made sure you were ok. ideal for a short break we were out most of the day but it was nice to come back to a warm room.

B&B? Not sure! Well, more like a house share, or to be correct a ground floor flat. Not easy to find as the owners do not have a proper sign, rather a tiny sticker on a communal post box. You enter a so-called tiny-tyny courtyard and immediately bump into a baby pram and other baby stuff. There are also three tiny coffee tables where you are served breakfast. The B&B website claims they service Italian breakfast buffet which in reality tea/coffee/milk and yogurt in a plastic sachet, and a few bread rolls. Enter a hallway, and again – baby’s paraphernalia everywhere including a massive playing pen for a little toddler that the owner have. Baby was well behaved, but we could still hear baby noises from time to time. Kitchen smell is everywhere.... The room is very tacky and dated (having said that I find Venetian style is tacky anyway, so might be a personal choice. The colours are too intense and gold finish makes it even worse). Room size is OK. Poor lighting and lack of natural light though. Shower room is good size, but very dumpy and smelly. It seemed like the sewage smell was coming from the everywhere. We had to keep a fan on at all times. Location is good, but Venice is so small so it does not really matter where you stay – east, west, north, centre you still 10-15 min from Grand Canal. Next time I visit Venice on holiday, I would actually stay in Murano, a little island just 10 min away from Venice. It is quieter and well connected with Venice itself. Though public transport, I mean actv boat service, is horrendous! Poor, old boats, constantly overcrowded with minimal health and safety. Italy is extremely poor country now, and Venitian decadence suits it well! I made reservation online with Expedia. I gave Expedia my credit card number and was told that the hotel will charge me at the end of my stay – fine! A day before our arrival, I received an email from Ca Bella saying that they DO NOT accept credit or debit cards, and payment must be made in cash only! They obviously save money on cards transactions with banks, but we live in 2013! I do not remember when I paid cash for my sandwich not mentioning a hotel!. What an inconvenience! It is bonkers to travell abroad with thousands of euros in pockets! So please bear in mind that you would need to bring your cash with you. Local ATM will dispense only 250 euros a day max! (unless you have an Italian bank account and can get as much cash as you like from a local brunch). There is nothing about cash payemnt on the B&B website. The runners of this B&B are lovely people, and you can see they are hard working and ready to please their guests. However, judging by British standards, Ca Bella is a poor, student accommodation type of a flat share. There was absolutely nothing in that B&B that would make me come back, or at least to have good memories.... just babies stuff everywhere. If you have additional 60-70 euros per night, I would rather recommend 3-4 star hotels.
"Felt very welcomed here!"
09/26/13 Lynn M Locust, North Carolina
The owner is absolutely lovely and went out of her way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Location was perfect as it was out of the hustle yet easy close walk to all the shopping and restaurants. Room was decorated nicely. Beds were harder than we like, but we managed. Wifi worked great. Has a neat courtyard where you are served breakfast and can just sit out and enjoy. Shower is not big...but most of them here aren't. We would definitely come back!
"Home from home"

This small bed and breakfast is located about a five minute walk from the madness of the Rialto Bridge. It is in a quiet side street near to the F Nove water bus station. Transfer information - if you fly into Treviso Airport, ensure you buy a ticket for the ATVO desk as this bus will take you straight from outside the airport into the middle of Venice. There is a desk in arrivals to the right. . If you choose to go to the desk in front of you and buy a ticket, this is for a private bus company and although quicker will drop you off at the bus station outside Venice, you then have to get the people transporter (€1) which is a kind of mono rail to the centre of Venice. From the centre of Venice (whichever bus you took) which is the Piazzalle Roma take the water bus to F Nove water bus station. You are then about 2 mins walk away from the hotel. Don't stress about finding your way, relax and enjoy. You can always stop like we did at a little cafe. Hotel - this is run by a lovely couple who did all they could to look after us. There are only 3 rooms so it feels like you are in someone's home. In the small Reception area, tea, coffee, herbal was provided to help yourself 24 hours. We arrived at 12:00 and was offered cold drinks as it was so hot. Our room wasnt ready yet, but the owner, Christina, cleaned the bathroom so that we could freshen up before we went out for a walk to explore. We had chosen the purple room as it had a view of the canal at the side of the building which is very old. Room was clean and spacious and decorated in Venetian style. If you want a modern sleek neutral decor with all the latest facilities, this is not for you. En suite was small but very adequate and plenty of hot water. Anything we asked for was not a problem, even plug in mossi repellents were provided. Breakfast was outside and ready at the time you asked for. Plentiful continental breakfast, fresh bread, spreads, cereals, yoghurt. There was free WiFi. Efficient air con. A fridge in your room which was stocked at reasonable prices and there was no problem putting your own food/drink in there. Venice - we walked to all the main attractions such as the Rialto Bridge, Market, St Marks Square, Doges Palace, Bassilica, Academia Art Gallery. We took a water bus to Murano Island and also to the Lido (beach). Venice was very busy so apart from the main attractions we preferred to walk through the quieter side streets, browse the shops and sit at a cafe watching the world go by. Ask Christina for restaurant recommendations. She told us to try a lovely pizzeria overlooking the sea to the right of the F Nove water bus station. Wonderful romantic location and the pizza was the best. We stayed for four days which was just right and had a lovely time, but sad to leave the wonderful family we stayed with. By the way...no, it didn't smell this time of the year!
