"Excellent location & beautiful accommodations!"
The location of this boutique hotel was incredible! It was on a small canal in the St. Angelo area, very accessible by water public transportation and walking. Their attention to detail was amazing. Our room was wonderful, it had a beautiful painting on the ceiling, the bed and pillows were so comfortable and the size of the room was perfect. The bathroom […] was perfect! It was like a mini spa. The breakfast that was included with the price of the room was just lovely. The staff was wonderful and so helpful! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return again in the near future. "Lovely hotel, great location"
Sleek modern hotel, in lovely city. Location is central and an easy walk to all the major attractions. One of our favorite things was this hotel is not on the Grand Canal in the midst of all the chaotic mobs of people, but in a quiet romantic area, ideal of a second honeymoonGenuine Expedia guest review

"An oasis among the canals."
Spent one night in the magical, but tourist-heavy city of Venice. Corte di Gabriela was the oasis we needed to escape the heat and crowds. The morning breakfast in the courtyard was absolutely one of the best dining experiences we had while in Venice. The hotel staff was friendly and attentive. The decor was beautiful, modern and well-appointed. We […] had one small problem with our TV reception, but it did not matter. Everything else was perfect. Spent 3 days in Venice at the Corte di Gabriela. Just a 2 minute walk from S. Angelo stop on the Grand Canal. The location provides easy access to the major landmarks, shopping areas and restaurants. The staff is courteous and helpful. The rooms were elegant and well appointed - and it stayed cool even though it was one of the hottest days of the summer […] at 90F. Luca and the rest of the team at Corte di Gabriela were absolutely wonderful – we would highly recommend this little oasis in Venice. The effort they put into making our stay comfortable and happy is truly appreciated. The staff were lovely, speaking to us in English and not being rude about our rubbish Italian when helping us book restaurants and print […] off boarding passes. The room was beautifully decorated, clean and very comfortable with gorgeous toiletries. It is so near many of the wonderful sights of Venice yet a very peaceful place to lay your head at the end of a busy day. Luca’s skills in the kitchen are impressive - the breakfasts, especially the little sweet and savoury pastries alongside the hot chocolate were truly amazing. The final parting gift of the toiletries (and a pastry or two begged to eat on the airplane), were a lovely touch. We were in room 2 - a comfort room on the ground floor, next to the office. It was less expensive than other rooms but still lovely and peaceful - which was important to me as a light sleeper. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Stylish and charming; an utter delight"
In advance of arriving in Venice, Sara and Giulia were extremely helpful in arranging a water taxi from Marco Polo and a reservation at Osteria Enoteca Ai Artisti (very highly recommended) for our first night's stay. They also organised for a chilled bottle of Prosecco to be waiting in our room when we arrived, which was a very pleasant start to our […] stay. On Sunday, they also recommended and booked a table for us at Algiubagio on Fondamenta Nuove, which we would never have found as it is a little off the beaten track but turned out to be an excellent choice (if you go, try the Carpaccio - fantastic!). The rooms - quite small but with tall ceilings so don't feel in any way "cramped" - are delightful, combining period charm and elegance with those nice modern touches that we have all come to expect. The bowl of strawberries on arrival was a particularly nice touch and we also enjoyed the relaxed breakfast buffet, which was accompanies by excellent coffee. An added bonus was that it was served until 11.00 am. The hotel itself is calm and tranquil but it's not immune from the noises from outside - not the hotel's fault of course - but retaining the original and beautiful windows meant that activity outside the hotel tended to wake us up early each morning. Much has already been said about the style of the hotel and I can only endorse that - this is a boutique hotel in the truest sense - and say that we both thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very highly recommended. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Perfect four night stay in Venice"
Everything about this very stylish boutique hotel was absolutely first class. The location was excellent in a lovely quiet area close to the St Angelo vaporetto water-bus stop and close to all the main attractions with plenty of good restaurants nearby. The décor is incredibly stylish with modern fittings and breathtaking attention to detail throughout. […] Our comfort room on the ground floor was quiet, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfast choice was extensive and tasted superb. All the staff we met were wonderfully helpful, efficient and friendly. "Greta, location, beautiful rooms & wonderful staff"
We've stayed here for three nights for my wife's 40th and I really can't say a bad thing about the place. It's tucked away on a small avenue, just 2 mins walk from a water taxi dock. We were met at the dock and guided to the hotel. It's a 5 min walk to St Marks Square. We had a junior suite on the first floor. I'd describe the hotel and our room as […] chic. It's an old building (they all are) but renovated to include modern convenience whilst retaining the character of the building. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but before we arrived they emailed us a list of places they would recommend. After we selected, they made reservations and on arrival gave a us a map with directions to each hotel. Breakfast is a selection of pastries (all home made by the owner) , fruits & meats. Corte di Gabriela is a great little hotel right in the centre of Venice. The room we were in was beautifully done, the bathroom large and toiletries excellent. "Elegant boutique hotel in a great location"

We stayed here for one night after 5 nights at the Gritti and a trip to Greece. We were flying back to New York via Venice and thought we'd try to save a little money and not pay for one more night at The Gritti, even though it was divine. This little hotel fit the bill. Very stylish, our room was beautiful. We were in the rear on the ground floor, no problem with noise at all. The shower was a little small but great water pressure. Excellent breakfast buffer, loved the coffee. One caveat: this hotel does NOT have direct canal access. You need to leave and depart from the San Angelo vaporetto stop, even if you take a water taxi. It is a short walk but there are steps to deal with, kind of a bummer when you are rolling luggage. We absolutely loved the hotel but did not realize this was the case. Just something to think about and I only saw one very brief mention of it in all the reviews on this site.
08/11/14 Ben G Gravesend, United Kingdom
Our experience at this hotel was wonderful from start to finish. The staff were welcoming, the room divine and the whole place was a relaxing oasis of calm amid the bustle of Venice. On arrival we were able to get into our room ahead of the formal check in time which was an unexpected and welcome surprise. The room itself was well air conditioned, luxurious in feel and the daily clean and turn down service was lovely for such a short break. We were also given fruit on arrival. The real daily treat was breakfast with lovely pastries made on the premises, gorgeous fresh honeycomb to indulge in and the best coffee in Venice! We were very sad to leave this hotel, and hope to return. A fantastic place to stay in a fantastic city.
"Loved this hotel!"

We stayed at the hotel for 3-4 days following an 8 day cruise and this was the highlight of our trip. Spacious, quiet, and clean rooms with an amazing European breakfast every morning. Italian coffee and nutella filled crepes were a fabulous start to the day! Easy walking distance from the San Angelo vaporetta stop and close to St. Mark's Square and other popular sites in Venice. Staff was incredibly attentive to our every need.
"We don't want to leave!"
08/07/14 SJA65 Dallas, Texas
We're sitting here in our room about to catch a train to Florence and we just don't want to go! One of my favorite things is that unlike some hotels, the reviews, the web site and pictures give a very accurate description of the place and the experience. There may be "fancier" 5 star hotels in Venice but you won't be treated better anywhere! Breakfast is worth the stay. Gabriela's personal service and AMAZING food…no words for that. The location pretty squarely between St Mark's square and Rialto Bridge meant stopping back in the room to drop things off and take a quick break was really easy to do, which made the day better. We could control our own AC which was great for August and the room cooled nicely! The bed is bigger than double (close to king) which was great. The service did not feel like "service". Everyone treated you like a friend visiting. This is our 25th anniversary and we found the whole experience exactly as we had hoped. Thanks for a great stay!
"Great hotel in a great location!"

We recently stayed here for one night on our trip home from Italy and Greece and it was the perfect choice. The hotel is located in a quiet, easy-to-get-to location in Venice and the staff was very helpful. The breakfast buffet was excellent! My only critique is that it was easy to hear all that was going on in the hotel from our room on the ground floor, but this still didn't sway me from giving this hotel a great recommendation. We hope to stay again!
"Beautiful accommodation in a great location made a birthday trip perfecto!"
07/29/14 Vic010 Leeds
Booked this hotel based on Trip Advisor reviews and was not disappointed as it lived up to all expectation. The hotel is discretely tucked away not far from St Angelo vaparetto stop and close to a beautiful peaceful square. The location is perfect for sight-seeing with major sights such as St Marks square a 10 minute walk away but the location is also lovely and peaceful and out of the hustle and bustle. We were warmly greeted on arrival by the English speaking receptionist and immediately shown to our room. I'd requested a room with a view as it was a landmark birthday for me and the hotel didn't disappoint. The room was spacious and had a small dressing room with a window which opened out on to a small canal. Rooms are beautifully appointed and in the bathroom our toiletries were in a little bag with a tag with our names on it. Very charming. There's a beautiful sitting room which you can make use of if you wish with bottles of wine and prosecco for sale. Breakfast can be taken in the lovely courtyard and is great. Home made pastries and cakes, fresh pancakes, omelettes and prosecco should you fancy a few bubbles with breakfast! On our last morning I was presented with a piece if freshly baked apple cake-very yummy. The staff are helpful and friendly and we were delighted to be given a small present on departure. Such thoughtfulness is rare to find these days. The hotel is expensive and so for us was a treat for a special occasion and for me it made my birthday trip to Venice perfecto!
"Don't miss this relaxing, secret oasis hidden in Venice!"
07/29/14 Anne S Spruce Grove, Canada
Based on Trip Advisor reviews from past travellers, my husband and I chose to spend 3 nights in Venice at the Corte Di Gabriela. What a good decision - an absolute treat! Prior to our arrival, I easily communicated with the staff via e-mail and was able to set up direct water taxi transfers from the airport and to the cruise terminal. The location is perfect - within easy walking distance to everything you need to see but removed from the hustle, bustle, and noise of main routes. The rooms/facilities are beautiful and so clean. Our room was spacious and had every possible convenience (including daily apricots in our room!). The morning breakfast (including Prosecco and fresh fruit juice!) that is included with the room was amazing with possibly the best morning coffee I have ever tasted! The staff were not just employees but gracious and helpful hosts! We felt so privileged to be guests at this "charming little house in the heart of Venice"!!
"A Little Gem in Venice"
07/28/14 Diana R Sydney, Australia
My husband and I have just returned from a month long vacation in Italy and spent the first five days of our trip staying at this wonderful hotel in Venice. Everything about this property hits the mark - its size, location, service, and staff create a package that is difficult to surpass. Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet with a pleasant outlook over a canal onto a pretty garden. The room is well designed with every amenity one could possibly need supplied, together with ample wardrobe space. Breakfast is served on the ground floor and in the beautiful little courtyard which is shaded by a magnificent, ancient wisteria vine. It consists of cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurts, pastries, cold cuts, cheese etc., with hot options being offered a well. The freshly brewed coffee is delicious and is supplied by Girani Caffe, a local manufacturer - great to see local businesses supporting each other. The owner and all the staff are very welcoming and willing to help with any questions, bookings or reservations/recommendations regarding restaurants. The owner informed us that he is opening two apartments in August this year. These are located close by the hotel and clients will be able to have breakfast at the hotel if they so wish - watch the web page for details. We highly recommend Corte Di Gabriela and look forward to our next trip in the not too distant future.

We have just returned from a 4 night break in Venice. Its the first time we have been to venice and loved every minute, even the rain. We found Corte Di Gabriella on Tripadvisor and booked based on the reviews. The communication in advance was excellent and the trip from the airport couldn't have been easier, 45 minutes on a boat (it was a bit crowded and hot but friendly and fun) and we stepped off to a 2 minute walk to the hotel. The hotel is quite simple but beautiful and its quality shines through. Every little detail is well executed, the flooring, the handrail on the steps, the fusion between old and new is in my opinion excellent. If you are looking for a hotel with lots of glitter and men in suits and bow ties then this isn't the place for you. The staff were extremely polite and very casual in their manner, it felt like walking into your home rather than into a hotel. Our room 1003 was beautiful, again simple but with very good touches. the bathroom was modern but again well thought through and blended with the old. The venetian plaster was excellent and set the room off perfectly. On our first mooring we were met by the owner I think, but didn't ask him his name unfortunately, he explained that he baked and cooked everything himself. There was an excellent range of savoury and sweet items along with fruit, meat and cheese. The fresh coffee, eggs and crepes were a delight and again it was served so politely and welcoming. If you are looking for a huge breakfast from a heaped buffet then again this isn't the hotel for you however there was lots of choice and the quality of the food superb. The location of the hotel couldn't be any better. We walked the whole of venice in our 4 days, the hotel is right in the centre of the action and there are a huge number of restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk. The Vaporetto stops 2 minutes from the hotel, we bought a 36 hour travel pass and went across to the Lido and right around the canals on them. If you are looking for a very high quality quiet retreat in the centre of venice then this is the place for you, the style, design and welcoming nature of the staff made this a perfect break for us and if we return to Venice again this is where we would want to stay. A big thank you to everyone at Corte Di Gabtiela PS - If you want an entertaining evening then check out Musica A Palazzo, we had never been to an opera before but loved it, go with an open mind and I think you will love it too
