"Would stay again"
The hotel was nice. We had a suite with separate bedroom which was great but would have been better if adults and kids were in separate rooms. The river view was lovely and it was very peaceful sitting on the balcony watching the river. Breakfast was basic and minimal. Pool and hot tub were nice. Everything was clean and the suite had everything you […] could need in the kitchen. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean, modern and dog-friendly"
This hotel is doing most everything right. It's clean, modern, well-kept, the staff is very friendly, they are one of the few really high-quality dog friendly hotels in the area, the breakfast is good, they even have a small basket with dog towels and treats waiting for you. Even the small details, like the hoops you have to jump through to get onto […] the WiFi, were pleasantly easy. We received an upgrade to a 2-room suite and couldn't have been happier with the room or the overall experience. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Just a quick stop to sleep"
the hotel was clean and the breakfast offered was great! we stayed just to sleep while on a road trip but it was a pleasant stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great stay, Hotel recently opened"
The hotel was very nice, and located only a 5 minute walk from the beach! The only issue was the hotel had barely been open a month and they were still working on finishing the details. The kids loved that they had warm cookies at 4pm, the swimming pool, and salt water taffy in the lobby and room : )Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Last minute trip and worth it"
Very clean hotel. Very polite staff. Located only a block from the main tourist street area. Our room was next to the elevator on the 4th floor and the hotel was quite full that night but it was quiet! The beds were comfortable. My only complaint is our room was on the small side- not much space between all the furniture. The beds are higher than normal […] which was challenge for our young kids but a fun one. Would stay here again. A good deal during the peak summer season. There is a free breakfast but we opted the donut shop a block away. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I'm glad I didn't pay for a view room as it wasn't much of a view. The furniture was newer but dinged up a bit. It was clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great breakfast, clean room"
Very clean, modern, spacious room. We had a great balcony overlooking the river. The free breakfast in the morning was extensive and great!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great all around!"
All around great! Great location. Super clean all around. Amazingly comfy beds. Great extras. Will stay again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This was our second night to stay into different rooms. Something sticking out of the box spring on the side of the bed caused us to be hurt scraped our leg. My wife experienced in one room and I experienced it in another room. It is hidden by the sheets. Also the coffee maker didn't work and we went through a little frustration with the person that […] came up to help insisting that the hotel was 100% full and could not exchange it with another room. We knew that the hotel was probably 10% full. But finally after talking and talking the coffee maker was exchanged as it was defective. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Seaside Hotel"
We stayed for 3 nights at this hotel. Very comfy and clean, great breakfast buffet. Large Movie rentals for free as all rooms have a dvd player. They also had bike rental for free. Great hotel just 1 block from the main strip.\\Had a great stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Awesome hotel...loved it. A couple of things....the beds are high in the air so if you were a person of short stature or had limited mobility , this could be an issue for you in getting in and out of bed. Breakfast is very limited but good, no hot eggs etc if that matters to you...we don't mind as we are not big breakfast eaters. They have lifts to […] get people into the pool and hot tub...that is neat. No complaints...front desk staff were awesome, hotel itself is new and spotless. . Hotel is steps away from restaurants, entertainment and the beach and the river in front is pretty. Quiet when we were there. . Would absolutely recommend and would stay here again in a minute. Thanks for an enjoyable stay! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Awesome place to stay, updated, great location. Close to shopping, dining, Cannon Beach, on the River. Will definitely stay here again and highly recommend. The complementary breakfast and DVDs were fantastic.

Loved staying here with my family. Location very convenient and the staff were very friendly. Awesome breakfast that was included. Only minor issue was the the elevator was slow, much faster to take the stairs which we were fine with. Overall great Hotel!

The staff were great and really friendly. I've stayed at Inn at the Seaside plenty of times and heard that River Inn was the new sister hotel so we decided to give it a try. It was great that it was newer, but personally I prefer Inn at the Seaside. The room was pretty small to me. We had a King size bed with a view, which was great. It's pretty awesome that they will be building a playground area for the kids, but when we were there it wasn't finished yet. The elevator was extremely slow. The floor in our room felt like there was a concrete floor and just laid a super thin carpet over it. I could put my hand on the floor and it felt kind of cold. In comparison to the Inn at the Seaside, I'd have to say that the Inn at the Seaside was more comfortable for us. We decided to stay only 1 night at the River Inn at Seaside and spent our 2nd night at Inn at the Seaside. They were just more comfortable and more of a home type feeling for us.
"Nice New Hotel"

We stayed at the River Inn for two nights. Everything is nice, new and clean. The first night we had a room with a king bed and sofa both were very nice, there was enough room to move around. The beds are comfy with nice linens although they are high. We decided to stay another night but had to move to another room with two queen beds, we found this room very small and missed the sofa to sit on. The rooms have a fridge, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, iron and ironing board. They have movies and a DVD player. The pool and hot tub were nice. The breakfast was good with lots of variety the attendant kept the supplies up and the room clean. The location is good, close to everything. The only down side is the slow elevator.

The rooms were nice and clean and the beds were very comfortable. The location all though not on the ocean is right in town the beach is only about a 5 minute walk and restaurant's and shops are all within a couple minutes walk. The only negative which is not really a big deal is that the elevator is extremely slow. The employees are friendly and helpful. Cant wait to go back.

We stayed in a two-queen bed room and was shocked to see how small the room was. It is the size of a regular one queen room and they squeezed another bed in. This was the tiniest room that we had ever stayed at. There was only one chair and one table - a task chair with a small desk at the end of one of the bed. We couldn't get by if somebody was sitting there. The tiny fridge and reg size microwave was at the end of the other bed. We stayed here with our two little boys and were literally trampling on each other. The beds were super tall. They were comfy to sleep on but not very convenient. Because there was no chairs, we sat on the beds more than we preferred and my husband and our son actually fell off because they forgot how tall they were. The bathroom was a reg size, thankfully. Flat screen tv was nice. Breakfast was crowded but food was ok. Swimming pool was big enough with a hot tub nearby. Location is nice. Not near the beach but close to attraction. If you travel alone or as a couple, this place would be great. If you have kids, it's very tight. We couldn't wait to leave. That's too bad.
"2 night Getaway!"

We bought this on Groupon and stay here for two nights in June 2014. Everything in this Inn is new including the staff. The staff seems to be a little clueless since they have a (training tag on their shirt). They ran out of water for the water cooler and they didn't know where or how to change it. I had to go buy water myself that day. They advertised free breakfast but half of the things aren't even stocked (at 7:30am). The receptionist IS ALSO the kitchen staff. THE ROOM- given that everything is new but the space is a little tight. They have a king size bed and a pull out couch line up next to each other and there were barely room to move around. On the plus size, they have one of those Keurig coffee maker. AMENITIES- Decent size indoor pool and hot tub and barely any outdoor lounging area. Pictures can be deceiving. PROXIMITY- One block away from Broadway (the main turnaround strip) and roughly 3 blocks away from the beach/boardwalk. Great for walking to restaurants, shops and entertainments. Overall, it's probably the best deal you can get for a clean and affordable Oregon Coast inn/hotel. I'm sure their service will pick up once everyone is trained.

We chose this hotel for a mid-week getaway to the coast because I found a coupon for it. My husband summed up our experience, though, when he said, "I'd have been very pleased with this, even if we paid full price." The hotel is brand new, nicely appointed, super-comfy beds & pillows, friendly service and pet friendly. This last one could be a down side if you're not into pets. We had our lab with us and he's very quiet. Not so the small dog across the way, which we heard barking on more than one occasion. That was far outweighed, though, by the easy access to the beach and promenade, accommodating service (they let us lock our bikes in a meeting room for the 3 days we were there), and overall comfort. One suggestion: bring your own bar of soap. The hotel furnishes soap, shampoo, condition and lotion in dispensers hung in the shower and next to the sink. It was okay, but we prefer bar soap, so went and bought our own. (Grocery store is very close by.)

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with 2 of our adult daughters. Excellent from the start to finish. Front desk staff (Tara?) excellent and really friendly and helpful. Spotless and new property. Pool and hot tub area were really nice and I noticed they have lifts to help people with mobilities get into the water.. Small but nice gym. Nice conference room where my daughter had a quiet space to do some work. Breakfast is very simple, no hot eggs or bacon etc, if that's what you like but fine for us and there is an outdoor patio off of the breakfast area. They have lots of free dvd's you can borrow and watch. They appeared to be assembling a children's play structure for the hotel. Suites have balconies overlooking the river...really nice. We had a one bedroom suite with 2 queen beds. Living room area was nice and it has a fridge and microwave etc in the kitchen area. Nice bathroom. One thing to note...the beds are high off the ground so a senior or person with mobility issues/ short statured etc could have difficulty getting up onto the bed. This hotel is close to the beach and to restaurants...just a few blocks. Really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely return. I think it would be a nice property for families with kdis. Highly recommend.
"Great Location, able to ditch the car and just walk or bike"

I got the Groupon deal and stayed 3 nights in this inn. New inn which makes the stay more pleasant. The inn has 4 floor and my room is at 3rd floor. Mine is king with view so I have a nice little balcony facing the river with plenty of sunshine to read my book and enjoy my breakfast there. From time to time I saw couple of big birds fly by which is fun to watch. Flat screen cable TV and wifi is available in room. No need to make your coffee @ the toilet as they have K-cup machine which is very nice. The best of all is location, it is located 2 blocks away from Broadway and a short walk you can reach Safeway, RiteAide .. to pickup some snacks and put in the fridge which is also in my room. It may be due to my stays were during weekday and were in low season, I ended up enjoy the indoor heated pool and jacuzzi by myself. So bring your swim gear if you stay in low season. The gym at the inn is pretty small so I didn't use it but I did get a lot of exercise walking at the beach though, very pleasant walk. Complimentary breakfast item is just ok -- basic items like waffle, bagel, cereal, some juices but no fresh scramble egg nor sausage. Not a big deal to me though. If one thing I would recommend to consider to upgrade is a better noise blocking window. The inn is located next to a small local road but pretty often I can hear motorcycle or truck pass by. If you are a light sleeper, maybe ask front desk to give you the room further away from the road. Overall speaking, I will come back when I plan to visit Seaside again next time.
