"Last minute trip and worth it"
Very clean hotel. Very polite staff. Located only a block from the main tourist street area. Our room was next to the elevator on the 4th floor and the hotel was quite full that night but it was quiet! The beds were comfortable. My only complaint is our room was on the small side- not much space between all the furniture. The beds are higher than normal […] which was challenge for our young kids but a fun one. Would stay here again. A good deal during the peak summer season. There is a free breakfast but we opted the donut shop a block away. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I'm glad I didn't pay for a view room as it wasn't much of a view. The furniture was newer but dinged up a bit. It was clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great breakfast, clean room"
Very clean, modern, spacious room. We had a great balcony overlooking the river. The free breakfast in the morning was extensive and great!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great all around!"
All around great! Great location. Super clean all around. Amazingly comfy beds. Great extras. Will stay again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This was our second night to stay into different rooms. Something sticking out of the box spring on the side of the bed caused us to be hurt scraped our leg. My wife experienced in one room and I experienced it in another room. It is hidden by the sheets. Also the coffee maker didn't work and we went through a little frustration with the person that […] came up to help insisting that the hotel was 100% full and could not exchange it with another room. We knew that the hotel was probably 10% full. But finally after talking and talking the coffee maker was exchanged as it was defective. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice view of the river"

We stayed for one night recently on a two week road trip down the WA, OR and CA coasts. Found it to be one of the nicest hotels on our trip. The beds were very comfortable, more like one would find in a luxury resort. The rooms were on the small side but we still had plenty of room for all of our luggage and still move around with ease. The balcony overlooking the river was a plus and we were able to enjoy some wildlife from the area (herons, a few seagulls and even a raccoon across the river in the early morning). I too would recommend an upper floor on the river side. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful and the morning breakfast adequate. It was nice staying in a new and very clean hotel.
"Great Location in Seaside!"
07/07/14 Oregon J Portland, Oregon
Location, location, location....the River Inn has a fantastic location. Within walking distance of the Prom (boardwalk @ Seaside), shopping, bike rentals, boat rentals on the river, and great restaurants. This hotel is new and very clean. We enjoyed our stay, but there are a few things that you should know before you book a room here. Positive notes: rooms are clean and have A/c which cools very well! Refrigerator and freezer, which work well. Coffee maker - did not use, as coffee is available all day in lobby. Microwave oven great for reheating leftovers! Breakfast daily - little bit of protein - hard boiled eggs/yogurt - lots of carbs - muffins, bagels, waffles, hot and cold cereal, juice, etc... Kids loved it! View of River is recommended otherwise you are looking at the parking lot. Lots of towels available in room and for pool. Beds were comfortable. Nice, soft linens and blankets. Indoor pool, which is great for rainy days at the Coast. A few negatives: Pool is very small indoor pool. Very clean, but gets crowded fast. Not enough seats for those not wanting to swim. We had a room with 2 queen beds, very tight quarters. Only one chair to sit in, otherwise you were on the bed. Felt the price of room was a bit high for what it was. Seems as though prices varied depending on how you obtained room. We booked directly with hotel and seemed to pay a premium price. Breakfast room is in lobby, which is strange. The quality of the fixtures in the rooms is a bit cheap looking, which they will regret over time, as they will wear out more quickly. We stayed on the second floor and could hear noise above us. We brought our fan for white noise and were happy that we did. It is a nice place and we value cleanliness above all else, so I can recommend it for that for sure. The staff isn't that attentive, but seems to mean well. Not an attitude issue, just a lack of service training. Overall I would recommend this hotel for families. We enjoyed our stay, but probably would have enjoyed more, had we been on a top floor.
"A Nice Find!"

My husband found a listing in a local hotel guide and it said it was new and sure enough they were having their Grand Opening Celebration when we were there. The husband and kiddos loved it. Staff was super friendly. Cookies in the evening, breakfast in the morning. Nice clean rooms, the best beds I've ever stayed in at a hotel, beautiful River view with Balcony, Keurig Coffee/Tea maker, and Salt Water Taffy! I could go on and on. We will be staying here any time we travel to Seaside or Cannon Beach!

We enjoyed our stay very much. For about $30 more a night I booked a suite and it was nice to have all of the extra room. The cookies at check in were very yummy and there was salt water taffy in the lobby and in the rooms - yum! We plan on returning for a future visit.
"Check pricing at hotel"
07/01/14 Brad D Cochrane, Canada
While booking the room I received a price on booking.com of 160 plus, and when I checked in all was good until some walk ins arrived and received a 107 plus tax rate. I asked if I could change mine, discussed this when I left even to the manager, and was basically told that the 107 should never have been offered. I explained it was, and not just to one walk in, three while I was there in the lobby, and still nothing was offered to adjust mine. So my advise is to not pay in advance, or book in advance, just walk in and save yourself monies. As well we stayed in room 216 on the top floor, and it had a handicapped shower stall that leaks all over the floor as the shower curtain isn't long enough and doesn't hang completely in the shower stall. The water migrates to the door, not the floor drain in the bathroom, so be careful or you could get the carpet outside the bathroom wet. I discussed this with the manager and staff, told them some easy solutions, and they agreed. Then I found out this was a problem from day one and they just haven't fixed it so obviously they are not the owners and paying for any possible damage, or they would get on with getting it fixed. Only one chair on the balcony, which seems ridiculous when two could easily be placed out there. Beds were great, rooms were okay sized, TV and channel choices great. Phone never worked properly, couldn't get an outside line for the life of me. The front desk couldn't figure out how to get one either, said they recently had some work done to it. They suggested I try dialing nine, then no number first, then 8, then 7, then no area code, and finally they came to my room, tried it themselves, and then dialed the local number for me on their cell phone and let me use it. That was nice, but the whole phone experience obviously needs to be rectified and staff taught the proper method once its fixed. I would have given the staff a perfect rating, they really were great, except for the pricing issue which I think they should have offered to us immediately as well, especially since they offered the lesser cost right in front of us several times.

We stayed here for one night on our way home from Newport, Oregon. Nice, but small cramped room. We had a King room on the parking lot side. If we stay here again, we will get a river side room. A lot of noise on the parking lot side, including a garbage truck at 5 am. We were on the top floor, which was nice. We had a lot of neighbor noise, the walls are not very soundproof. Very friendly staff. Very close to shops, restaurants.
"Great service, great location, just GREAT!"

We had a great stay this past weekend at the River Inn at Seaside. We were greeted by a grand opening party happening with Miss Oregon! Everything was clean, the breakfast was yummy and even the kids came away saying that we should stay there again! Also, all the staff were super friendly and kind. Thanks for making our stay so wonderful!
"Aahhh nice and relaxing"

I have stayed here twice and have a reservation again in a few months. Beautiful back patio overlooking the river. The breakfast is a standard hot breakfast complete with waffle maker. The rooms are nice and don't get me started on the beds omg I never wanted to get out of it. My mom who has trouble sleeping said she hadn't slept that good in a while! My only critique is they are little high, but that's IT, literally my only critique. We will be going back for a long time. The staff are super nice, the rooms are impeccably clean seriously if you have not booked here you need to!!

The location here is great. Easy walking to all the shops and restaurants. The furniture is too big so the room was cramped. There is 1 chair on the balcony, so you have to drag the desk chair outside. the price was a little high for what you get. The river your view is of isn't all that, more like a large creek. The place is very new. It was quiet. The usual food for breakfast. Again, there was too much too big furniture.

Great new hotel on the river. They are still working out some of the kinks, but otherwise great. Make sure you let them know well ahead of time when you want your room cleaned, otherwise they cleaning staff leaves for the day.
