"Beautiful Hotel + Great Staff"

Stayed at Hotel Indigo as my base to explore to Yunnan. Stunning hotel with great design, attention to detail and friendly staff. The room are extremely large and comfortable. The Bluetooth Bose Soundsystem was fantastic (but i am bias as I love to play my own music) A nespresso machine the perfect way to start my day A large bathtub against a beautiful large window overlooking the mountain was fantastic. Local bathroom amenities .... Organic and natural. iPads for all hotel and local info. And high speed internet ... a blessing. Located at the entry to the Ancient Town .... perfect location to explore. I look fwd in spreading the word about this great hotel and returning one day in the future. Do yourself a favour. Book a trip to Lijiang and explore this amazing area .... Stay at hotel indigo now before everyone discovers this gem.
"Most convenient for travelers"

Indigo is located next to Lijiang old town. If you choose to live in the old town, the taxi has to drop you outside the old town ( cars are off limits) and you would have to walk in/ get the hotel staff to meet you and walk you to the hotel. Winding unstructured cobbled streets are not easy to navigate. Indigo is the smaller property. All the villas are within walking distance. The villas in crowne can be a rather long walk if you get one far from the lobby. Indigo and crowne are sister properties. A hotel guest can use either facilities. Tried the tea tree spa. Very good. Am impressed at the quality of the massage. Had the 'yang' massage. The masseur read me very well and knew the spots that needed extra attention. Stayed for 2 nights at the suite at Indigo. Very good design taking into account the local culture and architecture. Breakfast had limited choice but more than sufficient in my opinion. Quality of the food was very good. Staff were 'overly' attentive. The instant there is an empty cup/ plate at the table, a staff will whizz in and remove it. That can be rather stressful as I am being 'watched' all the time. Overall a wonderful experience. Will be back if I am at Lijiang again.
"A must in Lijiang"

Opened since 2 weeks and already perfectly executed thanks to greatly trained teams. Perfectly located in the entrance of the old town, everything makes you feel at home, and even better thanks to the disruptive design of the rooms and the amenities (especially the amazing lounge downstairs). We had a superior suite, which are in duplex, and that we recommend even for families. In a nutshell, this is really the ultimate spot in Lijiang under all aspects. Tips : you can enjoy the swimming pool and fitness from the Crown Plaza, hotel next door.
"A very uncomfortable bed and pillows with mosquito at night"

It has some nice view and the hotel is spacious but you cannot have a good night of sleep. I heard a lot of other customers complain the same bed and mosquito problems. Do not visit. Better yet, do not go Lijiang or Yunnan area. It sucks hell.
"Beautiful Hotel, Great Location, Excellent Service!"

This hotel just opened this past weekend. We were staying next door at its sister hotel of Crowne Plaza and came over to have lunch. The hotel is Chinese inspired but with much more modern touches compared to its sister hotel. Very well done with that intimate boutique feel. The IHG hotel group really lucked out with these 2 properties because they are literally next door to the beautiful Lijiang Ancient Town. Besides the convenience, it really enhances the whole ancient feel. While having lunch at ChaMa restaurant at Indigo, we chatted with one of the managers, Anton. What a nice guy - knowledgeable, well-spoken, and professional. The food was delicious... best salmon and pasta we had in China in the 1 1/2 year we live here. We would definitely stay here if we come back to Lijiang.
