"Wasilla get away..."
The woods room was a little on the small size compared to the other room in the Wasilla B&B. The service was great, just like home. The breakfast was so delicious with a home cooked meal Nice and quiet with a view of the nearby woods. We had a enjoyable time and will come back again for another stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not a B&B"
Three large barking dogs that are unleashed. You stay in a room directly in their home with no separate entrance. Dirty loofa and half used soap and shampoo bottles in shower. It should be warned that there are large animals and that you're basically a houseguest yet paying $150 a night. Very awkward...Genuine Expedia guest review
"BEAUTIFUL Place, Flexible Proprietor"
We had two, separate great overnights here. We had caught some salmon and the proprietor graciously offered to cook them for us, gratis. In addition, we had free use of the refrigerator. VERY NICE - took Pics.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Beautiful house. But service lacks warmth.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A unique experience"
Wonderful log home that the owners built themselves. Great setting, super room...Greatest breakfast.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Beautiful Alaskan Lodge"
Room was large with comfortable beds and shower had great water pressure. Blueberry pancakes and sausage for our early breakfast were much appreciated. Husky dog was friendly but did bark at us when we first arrived. Hope to come back to golf sometime and plan on staying here!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I very much enjoyed our stay at Wasilla b&b. The hospitality was great.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very clean room."
We were welcomed by the several slid dogs and a little cute girls. The room is very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is very good.Genuine Expedia guest review
"First time at a bed and breakfast"
This was our first time staying at a bed and breakfast. We were not sure what to expect. We had a bedroom with a private bathroom. The room was clean and had salelite tv. The owners are friendly and we had a pleasant conversation. It was not mentioned that they have 3 large dogs in the house. This was not an issue for us, but if you have dog allergies […] it could be a problem. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"very good place for families!"
comfortable, quite& friendly! It would be the best choice in Alaska! Especially the puppies!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not what we were expecting"
First of all this isn't a hotel or a lodge and the picture is very misleading. It's a private house in a subdivision about 9 miles from Wasilla. We entered via the garage through the family living room to get to our room which was ok but had the feel of staying with relatives. Clothes in the closet, multiple half empty shampoo bottles and used soap […] bar in the shower, which wasn't very clean. The main business is for hunters and the house is a shrine to dead animals, mounted heads, pelts, on the wall and stuffed bears which if you are a hunter or fisherman is great, however not for us. "To close for comfort"
We booked this hotel through you! When we arrived at this so called B&B we were disappointed in the arrangement. Our room was adequate and roomy, the only thing that was missing was a private door to our room. This B&B was just a glorified boarding house. The breakfast was mediocre, for a 165.00, and with this type of accommodation. The cost should of […] been a lot less.We were about 10 or so miles out in the woods and to the closest city of Wasilla. The home itself was gorgeous. It was awkward and uncomfortable to stay their with the owner sitting right outside your room. There was no division between innkeeper and guests. This should of been duly noted in the ad. This ad needs to be changed because it is certainly misleading and you're not getting a true B&B. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Excellent for Fishermen"
We stayed at this B&B for four nights while we fished the Little Su during the Silver Salmon Run. This B&B was the perfect location for us, sitting in between the river and Wasilla we had easy access to everything we needed. The owners were also great at providing us with a place to clean our catch and a freezer to put the fillets in. Each day we left […] around 4am and got back around 10pm and they made coming and going very easy and comfortable, If you are going up there from out of town to fish and need a convenient place to sleep, this is it. "Unique and beautiful log home just outside Wasilla"
Enjoyed the short stay. The hostess was not the owner, but she was pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was good both mornings. A bit different than other Bnbs we have stayed in before but a good experience overall. It was further outside anchorage than we expected but not terribly so. We found a good place to eat at a local brewery/restaurant. Even […] though it stays daylit very late, stores and restaurants close early compared to what we are accustomed to. "Rudest welcoming ever!"
Worst experience I ever had. The quality of service was very poor. We were greeted by a small child and a large dog. We were treated very rudely and unprofessionally by the adult. Dingy room with a large stain on the bed and no mountain view which we paid for. Location was extremely difficult to find. Amenities were sub par.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great b&b next to the golf course"

"A trip to the State Fair"
09/08/14 Diana B
The house is very lovely. It is fabulous if you are an avid hunter as there are mounts galore. Our room was very spacious with a personal bathroom. The bed was incredibly comfortable and extra blankets were easy to find. The owner has dogs that are amazingly well behaved and not intrusive at all. Breakfast was filling and it was quite fun chatting with other guests. It would be awesome if there was a resident discount but I think we got our money worth. It was my boyfriends first exposure to a B&B, thanks for helping me sell him on the idea! He loved it.
"Great place to stay"

Room was great even though it is little far from the down town we stayed on the way to Denali and kids enjoyed the location especially the break fast. it was a different experience for us stayed away from traffic
"If you can't eat breakfast with stuffed animals, don't go"
09/08/14 Arandee Blenheim, New Zealand
His was a great B&B that got us an hour out of Anchorage and on our way to Denali. We don't have a problem with trophies nailed to the wall...I do shoot'em but don't hang'em but good on these guys for sticking to their game. We had a very good nights sleep, a wonderful meal at the local country club and could be more happy with our night in Wasilla
"B&B & Golf. What a combination."
09/06/14 Sheri P
We arrived late the first night of our two night stay. Lori met us at the door and showed us to our room. Since it was late we didn't get a chance to look around but we did make it to the back deck for a glass of wine before bed. 10:30 PM, the sun hasn't yet set and there's a threesome on the green below. What a great welcome to Wasilla Bed & Breakfast. Our rom was spacious, very quiet and had a great view of the golf course and distant mountains. The next morning we had a great breakfast, met our fellow guests. We also had a chance to take in the great room and admire all the wildlife mounts. Magic and I played fetch until my arm gave out. He never tired. Rick is quite a renaissance man and great host. He took time to "escort" us around Settlers Bay Golf Course. We didn't set a new course record but the course was beautiful. We can't wait to go back, enjoy their hospitality and take on the course again.
"Not Bad If you know what to expect!"
08/26/14 rongcsc Goose Creek, SC
Stayed one night. Nice room with hot tub (upgrade!). Read the description!!! The "B&B" is the owners' home complete with three dogs, a small child and the grand mom. The house is in a subdivision. The breakfast was good and we slept well, so no issues there. My only real issue was that I was NOT expecting what we got. The updated description on trip advisor is very accurate. The owners are true Alaskans and can share their experiences.
"Off The Path Gem"
07/25/14 Patricia F Port Saint Joe, Florida
Alaska's Wasilla Bed & Breakfast is a real gem only silightly off the beaten path. From the moment you arrive to the spacious and welcoming Great Room of this beautiful home constructed of massive logs you are made to feel at home. Our room was large and comfortable with a large private bath and a magnificent view of the mountains behind the golf course green. There are a large variety of personal trophies ranging from water fowl to a mounted Grizzlie. You won't be able to miss a beautiful black Lab named Magic who will love you to death. When you sit down to Lori's hearty breakfast you'll be accompanied by a Brown bear and a wall full of Lori & Rick's personal Iditarod memorabilia. We stayed one night on our way from Fairbanks to the Kenai Peninsula and another night on our way back to Fairbanks....and are very happy that we found this wonderful B&B.

Best place to stay in Wasilla. Lori is a wonderful host. We were able to walk to the Country Club, what a view they have with the mountains. Both rooms have private bathrooms. I would definitly stay again.

This is a wonderful place with space abound. The owner Lori will make you feel like this is your home and be sure to ask her about her 'pet bears' she has stuffed in den (ha).. The private bath per room puts this place over the top.

We did not get to meet the owners because they were away on an adventure. Lori's mother was our host. Very gracious and informative as to the Ididarod Wall and animals, both pets and wild. It was a wonderful beginning to a great trip We would stay there again and recommend it to others.
"Couldn't have been better (except if it had been longer)"
07/10/14 Dakotatraveller2014 Oregon Coast, Oregon
We were in Wasilla for a family wedding. Lori and her family were the perfect hosts who gave us suggestions for sites to see while there, provided directions on how to get there, and told us good places to eat. The mountain view from our patio was perfect, breakfasts were great and the companionship when we wanted to talk was wonderful. We would stay here again (and again and again!!) Thanks from North Dakota--so glad we found you and loved your dogs!! This is more than a log home, it is a log palace with all the conveniences (hot tub in the master suite and individual bathrooms) but built out of huge unique logs !! Don't miss this if you are in Wasilla or travelling in the area!
