Great place but a bit off the center of the city - but closer to Industrial area of Origgio. Malpensa is about 45 KM away with a very good Malpensa-Milan Express train service available to Seranno and Linnate about 60 KM away. Milan Station is about 45 minutes away by taxi on a good day. Train service from Serrano to Milan (close to hotel) is infrequent. Service provided is excellent with the staff being cheerful and helpful. Breakfast is good as in most of Europe (unlike England!). Great room size and well maintained.

The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. Food was great. The complimentary breakfast had a great assortment of cheeses, meats, fruit, cereal, and croissants and bread. . It is across the street from the lake so the view is pretty from the rooms.

My wife and I travelled to Lugano for a business meeting that I had and we chose this hotel so that she could enjoy the city while I attended meetings. Everything is well within walking distance of this hotel, while they also have nearby parking as we had a car. Our room fronted the lake and we also enjoyed the view from the breakfast room the following morning. It is an older hotel with character and an efficient staff. We would stay here again.

This hotel is fantastic. The views are amazing! The hotel itself is beautiful, comfortable and the staff is pretty fantastic. It is however, up a very steep hill and walking to town is not really an option. Taxi's are very expensive to and from the hotel, but the surrounding towns are worth it. Find another place to eat in town. The restaurant in the hotel was a terrible experience. Crunchy risotto and pasta, raw veal and chicken and the bartender did not understand that rum is not tequila. The bar itself leaves much to be desired. We were charged full price for the horrible dinner, and the negotiation about reducing the charges for a REALLY BAD dining experience, was very difficult. The manager was really not willing to reduce the bill as much as I would have liked to see for the horrible food. Avoid this issue by eating elsewhere and the rest of your experience will be lovely.

The staff were very welcoming and accommodated us hours before normal check-in time. Very easy to find and a short walk from the train station. Nice... views of Lake Como and easy access to a walk along the lake. The room was clean and reasonably well set-up. Smallish towels was my only issue with the room. Rates were reasonable for the room - not super cheap but not too expensive either. Included breakfast was not extravagant but was nice. Negativt at man må betale for internett, men ellers likte vi hotellet og beliggenheten svært godt.
