Hotel De la Tamise - Paris

The best thing about this hotel was it's location! We stayed on the fourth floor - no elevator! We had to climb 84 steps each time. The furniture were in bad condition and the mattress was horrible.

Charming small hotel in the first arondissement excellently located and very clean. Very good value charging a quarter of the local four/five star hotels and the price includes breakfast and internet. Une chambre minuscule sous les toits, 5ème étage sans ascenseur !!! Couvre-lit miteux, moquette sale, rideaux déchirés, isolation phonique inexistante, etc... Un cauchemard !!!

très bon accueil, mais l'hôtel reste vêtuste et mérite un rafraîchissement des chambres, assez spartiate, mais pour 1 nuit....... Par contre petit déjeuner servi à partir de 7h30 uniquement, c'est trop tardif pour des départs professionnels.

Good: 1) Excellent location with easy access on foot to many attractions like Louvre Museum, Royal Palais, Jardin du Tuileries, Concorde Place, La Madeleine, Vendome Place, etc. 2) I lived in a single room. The room and the ensuite toilet was large enough. 3) Price is affordable as far as a central area is concerned. 4) Free breakfast included 5) Free […] WIFI performance is satisfactory 6) No air-con but the electric fan is good enough. 7) The receptionist (very likely the owner) is friendly and is very hard-working. I saw him in the morning, the afternoon and at night. Bad: 1) For the breakfast, one of the bread (the long one) was so hard to chew and swallow. 2) Complete darkness in the corridor to the room. I had to use “torch mode” in my mobile phone. 3) No coffee/tea making facilities in room. 4) Toiletries only included shampoo, soap, toilet paper and towel. No toothpaste or brush. 5) Spiral stairs are narrow and is difficult for walking with big luggage. The only lift was out of order. 6) Left luggage at your own risk. No security control at all. 7) All TV channels are in French. 8) Most of the ground floor area, although beautifully decorated, seems to be for decorative purpose other than practical ones. Chambre non chauffée quand on arrive. Il faut brancher soi-même un radiateur d'appoint. Salle-de-bain non chauffable. L'ampoule de la table de chevet était grillée.

Glem alt om moderne comfort, designer hotels, barer m.m. Men hvis du vil opleve Paris som det var engang og snart ikke mere er det stedet, man møder stamkunder , og ejeren , en fin fransk dame der har haft hotellet i mange år er et bsøg værd. Og beliiggenheden top, ved louvre , dette er stedet for mig.men man skal forstå det.

Chambre au 5 eme pres de la machinerie de l'ascenseur, on dort donc avec le bruit de chaque montée/descente. Propreté tres moyenne (longs cheveux dans les draps) Eclairage de la salle de bain tres juste Pas de coffre, des cintres minables Petit dejeuner pas en libre service Bref pour un 3* tres mediocre.

Close to everything, location is great! Rooms are nice, but without aircondition so there's a stuffy smell when you go in to the room and you can hear the street noise, but thats what you get with the location...
