Stayed here recently with husband and kids, room was ok just, not that spacious, ate dinner in the bar both evenings, food was nice and good service. Stayed on a sun and mon night and there was live music both nights which was brilliant, nice swimming pool for kids, bar staff were very friendly and took kids behind bar to make kids cocktails which they loved, overall very good experience in this holt and would definitely recommend.

My partner and I stayed 2 nights midweek just before Valentine's. I was impressed at the staffs friendly helpful upbeat attitude. We had steak and chips in the bar the first night. Very tasty ! Second night we went to the Thai restaurant in the hotel. 5* service and the food was second to none. For €50 we got a 4 course dinner with a bottle of wine for both of us !!! Extremely happy. We stayed on the top floor. The view was lovely and the room was very clean modern and bed was large and comfortable. It was raining on the second day and the staff offered us an umbrella - they even went outside in the rain and put it up ! All over I can't imagine why anyone would fault this place. It's so cozy clean friendly and the food was perfect. We will certainly be back :)
"A bit of a let down"

There are some good points and some negative about this hotel. I will start with the good points. On arrival I thought the foyer was quite modern and well presented. A little hiccup with the key cards was resolved quickley. The room was a nice and had all the requisites that come with a modern hotel. We ate in the Thai restaurant and had the special menu that offered three courses and wine (Chilean sauvignon blanc) a good one by all accounts 50 euro for two people. The Bagenal Harvey Restaurant was where the breakfast was served and it was a good spread with a good choice of different food items. The staff were also very pleasant and helpful. The negative points are that the car park is set apart from the hotel and one has a distance to walk to access the hotel. It is also located on a main road. The room while quite nice but a bit cramped due to the large furniture and would benifit from a reduction of same. The counter area was a little chipped and made it look shabby. Now I would like to state at this point that I come from a catering background and my wife in her youth worked in a small hotel serving breakfast and also as a chambermaid. So if you are familiar with four in a bed on channel 4 you can guess what's coming next. So she examines the room with a finetooth comb and will always find something amiss. She done the finger test and found some dust on the pelmet above the bed. She then washed the the counter and the cloth came up very dirty.I would think that these surfaces are sprayed with a furniture polish and wiped sealing in the dust that lodges in direct sunshine. One of the pillows had a dirty cover and apart from that the bed was ok. I think there is air conditoning in the room but there was a electric heater plugged in so I dont know what's going on there. I would also at this point to make a remark about the restaurants at this stage. As stated we had food in the Thai restaurant and it was very good but as it was three courses I don't understand why the third course was tea/coffee as a lot of people would prefer a dessert and it should be optional but then it is probably a good money spinner. The Bagenal Harvey Restaurant only opens for dinner if the is a bus party and anybody can dine on these occasions. I observed a table D'Hote menu on the way in for breakfast and was totally unimpressed with the fare offered and it was overpriced at 29 euro. DQ
"Friendly staff , basic accommodation"
Stayed here for one night to attend a 30th birthday party . Room was very basic , outdated decor , no TV remote so could not watch the television . No water in the rooms and the glass given to me at the bar was filthy ! In saying that this hotel is perfect if your going out on the town and just need a bed . Staff are friendly and the hotel is very central .
"Our Best Stay in Ireland"

We spent a couple of weeks in Dublin, then six weeks housesitting near Enniscorthy. We had a week available for a rest prior to heading to Spain and chose to spend it at Treacys. They have excellent deals available at this time of year and their website is very user-friendly. The location is superb - right near the river and just 5 minutes walk up to the castle and shops of Central Enniscorthy. Parking is available (though we didn't need it). Our room was more than big enough and we were really able to spread out and relax. The king size bed gave us excellent nights sleeps. The bathroom is tastefully decorated in smoky grays and whites - very urban chic and had a good size bath and copious amounts of hot water at excellent pressure. Houseskeeping did a great job every day and after day 1 one fitted in with our lazy-bones schedule and had our room ready by the time we returned from breakfast. Speaking of breakfast - wow! There is a hot and cold buffet - fruits, yoghurt, cereals, juices, pastries, scones, muffins and then eggs to order (or fried/boiled on the servery line), bacon, sausages, puddings, tomatoes, baked beans, potatatoes for hot choices. The highlight of breakfast however is not, somewhat amazingly, the food! It is the superb and friendly service provided by Teresa. She was there every morning of our stay most ably managing the cooking, serving, teas, coffees and cleanup of the whole operation - and always with a smile and a chat. We actually can't believe there is only one of her - so swiftly and efficiently is everything accomplished. Perhaps there is a Teresa twin out the back. My husband is a retired chef and is flabbergasted at how much and how well breakfast was presented. As part of our excellent deal, we also had evening meals included utilising the European set menu. These were well prepared, provided good choices and were fabulously presented by Darren in the restaurant or in the Temple Bar part of the hotel - both excellent spots for dinner. Darren is a great guy, very friendly and attentive and always provided super service. Finally, last but not least, the front of house team are always available in reception to cater for our every want - which included some small printing jobs, happily delivered to our room and also taking care of a package that arrived for us and bring it up. All up Treacys is a great spot for a holiday based in the South East - there are so many places you could visit from here and be sure of a warm welcome at the end of your day out. Or you could do what we did (not very much) and hibernate in your cosy room, eat in house and if you are super energetic even go across the road to the Leisure Centre for swimming, sauna etc which is included in your stay - though we might have to try this next time. PS - I put good for airport access below because it is a 5 minute walk around the corner to the bus stop that takes you direct to Dublin Airport. Albeit 2 hours+ away.
"Loved it "

Got a great deal to stay here from the Maxol breaks. It cost myself and my boyfriend 99 Euro for One night bed-and-breakfast and two course evening meal which was really nice. There was also free parking The rooms were spotless, Good size and flatscreen television. There was a decent size wardrobe with a safe built in. There was a free standing heater as there were no radiators in the room. We had the use of the leisure centre across the road but never ventured over there so cannot comment. The staff were excellent very helpful and courteous. We stayed over on a Saturday night and were delighted to hear that breakfast was served between years of 8 AM and 11 AM. The breakfast was self-service with a range of variety of hot and cold food. There were three bars in the hotel itself so that was no reason for us to leave the hotel. There was also disco on site which didn't fill up until around midnight. The age varied from 18 to 60. In essence this was a beautiful hotel, courteous and helpful staff Nice rooms, lots of amenities in the hotel. I would consider going back again.

Location is perfect in the town. Only a few minutes walk from shops and bars. Hotel itself has two bars and a night club. D2 is a great modern bar and perfect for watching any sport. Didn't use the night club but did avail of the residents bar. Leisure center can be used across the road free of charge asking with its car park. It room was nice and big. Good powerful shower. Ate the breakfast and a quick snack from the hotel bar, both decent. Staff are friendly and helpful. If back in Enniscorthy I'll will be staying here.
"Poor Customer Service"
01/23/15 mgattus County Dublin, Ireland
My wife and myself visited this hotel for 2 nights. On the website there was listed that there was a SPA in the hotel, not true, it's not part of the hotel, they will give you a voucher to go to the city's water sports centre across the road and there is no steam bath at all. Also all the staff address the patrons as guys, folks as if we know each other. Another thing that when we entered the room the first time, there was a smell of cigarettes in the bathroom. Finally, the Thai Restaurant is far from Thailand not only by distance but by food presentation
"Room to small but a nice family holiday"
01/16/15 Lisa O
For the most part our stay here was fun and relaxing. Only issue was the room. I had booked a family room for 4 with a cot and a single bed as i had a 1year old and a 5 year old and the room we were given was barely big enough for 2 never mind a family. when we arrived to the room there was only a double bed i ring and with minutes there was someone up with a cot only problem when they came with the single bed there was no room and it was up thight against the double bed meaning 1 side of the room couldn't be used they also had to take the chairs out to fit the cot in..not the family room i had booked...that said everything else was great..staff was friendly and helpfully food was very tasty and when it came to entertaining the kids the kids club was fantastic my kids had an amazing time and are still talking about it. All in all we had a lovely holiday and a nice stay at tracys
