"Perfectly perfect perfection"
We loved this b&b. Our host was very helpful and our suite was beautiful. We had espresso on the balcony every morning. We felt like we had our own cozy, romantic apartment in Barcelona. Could not have asked for a better stay.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Interesting, but needs improvement."
This hotel is located in a nice residential area. When we got there the Manager was away. A very nice woman let us in and tried to explain everything but she only spoke German. The big disappointment was we never were able to sign into the Wifi. She told me the code was under the router but it never worked. We saw the manager our first night. He asked […] if we had any questions but we were exhausted and assumed we'd see him the next day. We never saw him again. The room was interesting with a sitting area and a bedroom. The bathroom however was in the hall, it was private but the shower is not made for tall people. The windows were very old and never closed completely. The noise from the road outside, especially the motor cycles and the garbage trucks, was loud at times. The continental breakfast was non-existent. There was a coffee maker in the room and we found some corn flakes and sunflower seeds in the kitchen. That's it! We went to a nearby market and bought our own milk, juice and bread. "Tiny room, shared bathroom but in central location"
This is not a hotel - more like an apartment. There is no reception (you have to contact the owner with your arrival time) and there is no safe for valuables. Our room was tiny (it basically just had enough space to squeeze in a double bed), but since we spent most of the time sightseeing, we didn't mind this too much. The bed was very comfy. There […] are no cupboards for clothes - just baskets in the wall and a few hangers from a railing attached to the wall so it seems to be suitable for a short stay rather than a long stay. It was very quiet at night which is good. The one surprising fact was that we had to share our bathroom and it is not attached to the room - you have to walk down the corridor. The bathroom should be cleaned more often since there were quite a few people using it. The owner was really friendly and provided advice about where to go. The airport shuttle is really nearby and the old town (Barrio Gothic) and Las Ramblas are a short walk away so the location was excellent. I gave this hotel 3/5 because of the location. The accommodation itself would be 2/5.

"Nice Apartment Room , Great Value"
09/02/14 wanderlust195216 Royal Tunbridge Wells, United Kingdom
We have just returned from Barcelona and stayed here for two nights. We were very comfortable in the large room with a balcony. The room was air conditioned and had wi-Fi connection. We had a private bathroom outside of the room in the hallway. The host David was helpful and pleasant. A small kitchen allows you to make tea or coffee. There is also a fridge to keep your drinks cold. It was furnished in a trendy simple way. Bathrooms were a bit dated. It was very good value for city accomodation . The location was excellent for the airport bus that stopped a few hundred yards down the same road. Metro close by too. We were allowed to leave our luggage there on the day of departure and collected later.
"Amazing location and host...great room if you're a baby sized grown up."
As other reviews have stated, Trianon is in a premium location and has a gracious host. However, I'm not sure how the smallest room could cost €55/night while a larger cost €40 (did some review digging and found that out post-stay). If you plan to stay in the smallest room don't bring anything larger than a backpack! With two people and luggage, you better be supermodel skinny. The space is poorly utilized and requires gymnastics if you didn't take my advice and brought a suitcase...or another person for that matter! This tiny room and shared bathroom is not worth the money. I've paid far less and received far more at hostels across Europe. Having to hold the shower head is really frustrating if you're not bald, and the hot water runs out in just a few minutes. Shaving your legs is a JOKE, you'll have to go granola and be 'au naturale'. And hey, while going granola, feel free to use the shampoo to wash your hands cause the soap ran out. The breakfast part of this "B&B" only consists of tiny, pre-packaged muffins...that are perfect if you're a baby and in that case you'll love the teeny room! Even though David is extremely flexible and hospitable, it's not enough to make me return. Please note that this review is only for the smallest room...I never got to see any larger ones (no one needs a peeping tom sharing their bathroom).
"Fantastic little find: very clean and comfortable."
This is a great little place and amazing value (I paid €40 p/n). The room was large (double bed, shelf space, 2 chairs and a table) so it meant that you could chill out in the room with enough space to not feel cramped - if you've stayed in a travel lodge you know how grim it can be). The room was also cleaned everyday. The bathroom had a loo, basin and shower. Perfectly fine and clean. I had access to the kitchen with kettle, coffee maker and fridge so you can store food. Though this is shared with other guests. But at least it meant that you could buy your breakfast from one of the local supermarkets to keep costs down. The other rooms were equally spacious: one has its own little living room and balcony and private bathroom (not ensuite, but not shared). And the other had a little terrace. The location was good - about 20/25 mins by bus from the airport and 5 minutes from the nearest metro (Urgell). It is a long walk to Old Town (25 mins) but it is very easy and walkable all over so this wasn't a problem for me. You could get the metro everywhere but everything is so easy to walk to. Near the apartment there are lots of bars and cafes (but you don't hear them). But these are good for a quiet night or if you don't want to venture too far. Free wifi was provided and was very good. The owner, David, was very friendly and helpful. He gave me lots of advice and local knowledge about the area and said I could get in touch with him if I was stuck/lost or needed a tip of whee to go for dinner. He also speaks loads of languages: Czech, Swedish, English and Spanish. I was very happy with this accommodation and will definitely return to stay here.

This is a great little guest house in a great location. It's just fat enough outside of the main tourist drags so as not to be overly noisy but still very conveniently connected. 3 metro stope with a 10 min walk and a 15 minute walk to Las Rambla. David, our host, was very helpful without invading your privacy (unlike in some guest houses). He gave us some great local recommendations that we would have surely missed otherwise. There's a handy kitchenette should you need it. Trying to think of a downside, it's hard. It's not flash or showy, but that's not me. A nice homely place to stay.
"Very good place to stay "

My girlfriend was visiting while I was working elsewhere in Catalonia. We wanted something quieter and nicer than a hostel, but more unique and cheaper than a hotel. We stayed here for a week and had all our needs met. David was friendly (I wouldn't say overly friendly like some reviews, but then again we didn't bother to have drawn out conversations with him) and the rooms were nice. My only complaints, which are small, is that it was a bit noisy, as this is in an apartment building (still much quieter than a hostel), and I really, really wish the kitchen had a microwave. The shared kitchen got a coffee machine the day we left, which I'm sure future guests will enjoy. But still, don't plan on eating much besides sandwiches if you want to save money by eating in. Overall, very nice. And I'd stay there again.
"Stay where the locals stay"

Love the location simply because it's not right in the center but near enough to get there. A 15mins walk or just 6-7mina metro ride plus walk to metro. It's quiet where you get a good sleep and if you want to, get some fruits from nearby stall. To top it off, the owners are really friendly, give a quick recommendations on the city and good places to hang out. All in all, good value for money!
"The perfect place for a lovely stay in Barcelona"

First of all, the location near the quick and affordable Aero Bus was a huge plus. Just as close was the metro station connecting to all of Barcelona. It was also just a nice little walk to get to other parts of the city centre. The apartment was a few floors up in the building, reached by an elevator, and we were stunned by the atmosphere inside and we absolutely loved the feeling when we opened the balcony and felt the nearby pulse of Barcelona. Our room was fresh and clean, and we got some great tips from David regarding restaurants to visit and places to see. There was a small kitchen with a fridge so you could keep your cold cava and your olives or other wonderful goodies from Spain :) The fantastic interior design and the lovely welcoming from David made us feel relaxed and more "at home" than we ever would have felt in a hotel, just like visiting an old friend you haven't seen in a long time.
"Perfect for a quick stay in Barcelona"

Location was brilliant. It's a quick and easy 20 mins drive from the airport on the blue aerobus and 5 mins walk to this guesthouse. It's close to the metro stations (Urgell) and is an easy walk to all the main attractions (about half an hour to Gaudi's appartments - Casa Batllo, or in a different direction to the waterfront, or to Las Rambas). Rooms were interestingly decorated and clean. There is a small kitchen if you want to make breakfast or dinner. We stayed in the room with the suite and balcony - a coffee machine was included which was an added luxury. It was lovely to sit down and rest our legs after all the walking. It was very easy to pick up and return the keys and David's maps and restaurant advice was brilliant!. There are some excellent places to eat a short walk from Trianon & co. Excellent value for money.
"Better than a hotel"

When I travel, I feel that I get the best "local" experience when I stay in an apartment or a small B&B. Big hotels make me feel like a tourist! But sometimes finding a nice, CLEAN place can be a bit daunting and not worth the trouble in the end. However, I'm glad I found Trianon & Co. and David the owner! David is a better concierge and tour guide than you're likely to find in any hotel. He's lived in Barcelona for a long time and is always happy to give his recommendations on favorite spots, the best Tapas (God, I miss the Tapas!!!) and general MUST DO's around the city. The place is stunning, clean, and stocked with all of the necessities. But the best part is David. He really has a love for what he does and it shows. It really helped make me feel more at home in a strange city and I can't wait to visit again as soon as possible!
"will recomend this place!"
first of all, the picture of the appartement made me interested, it is old classic and cute! the owner (David) is really nice! he gave us some information about barcelona, what to do, what to see, where to go, where to eat, etc and of course a map :P the location also strategic, near 2 metro station (Rocafort and Urgell - Line1), not that far fro city centre. we got the smallest room and it wasnt bad! it is comfortable and fulfilled our trip in barcelona! will recomend to other people!
