"Great location & helpful staff"
A very good value in the heart of Madrid. Staff answered our many questions with good info and grace. Hotel is in easy walking distance of Plaza del Sol, Plaza Mayor and El Prado Museum, making it very convenient for tourists. Room was quiet and bed comfortable. We could have used more reading light at night. I would recommend to friends.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The staff is wonderful - got to know them pretty well since we stayed there for 7 nights. The location is the best - it's in el barrio de las letras which is really fun and close to la plaza de santa ana and close to really cool barrios like Malasana, Lavapies, Chueca, and Chamberi (close on the metro). "great experience, great location"
I would definitely return to this hotel - our whole family found the hotel attractive, the location was superb and central, the room was clean and spacious, the small terrace was a lovely plus, and the staff went out of their way to be helpful. Could not ask for more.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"very good, clean, excellent location"
Stayed for 4 nights at One Shot 23. The hotel is just 2 minutes walk from Plaza Santa Anna. Staff very helpful. Room clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very cool place!"
The staff were fantastic! Welcoming and sweet, helpful, and with our very poor Spanish, patient. Everything was terrific. The rooms are nice, there was a refrigerator (yay!) and the TV was a mirror! The only issue was the air conditioning which didn't go below 23*. It was a bit warm in the room at night. Other than that, it was very nice.Genuine Expedia guest review
Lovely stay. You have all you need arownd the hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
Had a wonderful stay, One Shot is centrally located with easy access to the main sites but on a quieter side street which is a welcome respite from the bustle and crowds in Madrid.Genuine Expedia guest review
One Shot 23 was a great find. It is 10-15min walking distance from the city center and was right in the middle of the action. Hotel staff was very helpful in suggesting local events and the rooms were well equipt with the essentials. Overall would stay here again without hesitation!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Met all expectations on second stay"
On my second stay, the safe worked and the bathroom is better. The location of the hotel just can't be any better.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Well-located, chic hotel"
What a great find! We snagged a sweet rate and couldn't be happier with the chic, art-filled spaces, clean-lined, roomy (by European standards, anyway) accommodations, and fantastic location (a 15 minute or less walk to all of the major museums and sights). Oh, did I mention the shower? It was heavenly. My husband is ready to renovate our master bathroom […] to try to recreate a bit of its magic. One caution: the bathroom is separated from the room by a frosted glass door that leaves little to the imagination. Fine if you're staying solo or as part of a couple, but a little much if you're doing a girls' weekend or trip with your parents. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"En el Barrio de las Letras"
This hotel is wonderfully situated in Huertas(or Barrio de las letras) A neighborhood west of Paseo del Prado, north of Calle Atocha. Famous for being the "literary" neighborhood of Madrid where many famous writers lived or spent their free time. One of the prominent landmarks is the house of Cervantes where he died in 1616. In recent years, it has […] become a nightlife mecca with thousands of Madrileños and tourists walking around and bar-hopping along Calle de las Huertas and Plaza Santa Ana. The One Stop 23 is in a perfect location for the art lover and anyone interested in a wide range of of dining options. We stayed at the One Shot for 7 nights and any request we had was immediately attended to by the staff.Genuine Expedia guest review
Everything about this place was good...location, overall design, room design Ian simple, well constructed and without any unnecessary flourishes. Desk staff very pleasant and helpful. Good value too.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel close to everything"
Arrived 4-5h prior of check in time, but got the room - very nice gesture. Breakfast voucher is tricky - next door old library restaurant. Library is worth of 5-10 min peek. Eating area is nice, but "toast/jam/coffee" is overpriced - you can get cheaper and more variety somewhere else. Room soundproofing is poor - slammed neighboring doors, someone […] walking upstairs. The One Shot 23 is an excellent choice if you are looking for some place hip with great service and fresh art. The location is terrific. "Clean, well kept"
Rooms are kind of small and there is no privacy between the washroom and bedroom. When there was noise in the hallway or another room, it was noticeable. The walls seem a little thin. The front desk staff was kind and attentive. Would stay here again if it were a short stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"What a Hotel.... It's amazing"
We only stayed one night but we wish to go back every now and then. This hotel is all brand new, all furniture and rooms seems to be new and the decoration amazes you. "A smart choice for staying in Madrid"
There is only one drawback to this well located hotel in downtown Madrid. It is .5 km from any Metro station. Unless you can carry your baggage a ways, take a taxi. That said, the convenience of the place for seeing the city is excellent, close to the old city and its sights, the Grand Via and closer yet to the famed Prado and Thyssen-Bornemisza museums. […] Hotel One Shot sits on the edge of the Lettras Barrio, next to the Atheneo, in a popular area for night life. But my room and most others are well insulated from noise. The desk staff have at least some English, are very solicitous., Check in and check was easy. Wifi is free, but you have to sign in often even if you leave your phone or computer on. That was mildly annoying. Rooms were very clean, almost austere. No closet or dresser but a well designed alcove with a place to store and hang clothes. There was a small frig which made up for no breakfast as I could bring good back. Every day the cleaning service left two instant espresso packets which could be made at the end of the hall in moments. There were tiny biscuits as well. Excellent hot water, shower, and TV options. If you wish to see dubbed programs in English, you can choose which language to hear, but it takes some work using the remote and the audio button. I would definitely consider coming back, as the rates offered by hotels.com were very good compared to rack rates. For the location and the condition it was a very good value. "Nice Hotel in Central Location"
Hotel is 5 minute walk from Anton Martin Station. Very easy to walk to many different bars and restaurants. Pleasant stroll to Plaza Mayor. "Great Hotel in the heart of Madrid"
We really enjoyed our stay here. We paid a little extra and got a room with a terrace. The staff were very helpful and quickly orientated us. It is in the center of the art triangle with many of the galleries within a 10 minute walk. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Walking distance to Chueca (15 minutes) as well but none of the mayhem/noise. Close […] to the Atocha train station too (5-6 euro cab ride). "Fashion over Function"
When you walk into the hotel and your room you will immediately love the look and feel. Then as you start to try and use the room, you will realize that there are a bunch of little things that add up to an overall feeling that the room is not all that functional. Do not stay at this hotel if you are not completely open and comfortable with the person […] you are staying with. There is no separate bathroom - it is essentially part of the main room - so not much privacy on that front. The location of this hotel is awesome - lots of good restaurants and bars immediately around the hotel. It is an easy walk to all of the historical area of Madrid. "Great spot for a weekend in Madrid!"
My mom and I stayed here for a weekend in Madrid before heading out to Andulucia. The location was perfect for visiting the Prado, Reina Sofia, Parque de Buen Retiro, Plaza del Sol, and even walking over to the Palacio Real. The desk staff was super helpful, even offering to store my luggage for a week at no extra charge while I travel at the end of […] my study abroad. We are booking here again for our last night before we head back to the states at the end of the trip. The only negative I have for the room was that while the modern, open-concept bathroom is beautiful to look at, the lack of a real door (there is a privacy door for the shower/toilet) means that there's no sound privacy or way to avoid turning on the room light if you need to use the bathroom while someone else is asleep or early in the morning. "Best hotel we stayed in"
This was the last hotel we stayed in on a two week trip in Spain. The location is perfect as it is dead center to all of the major sights and the hotel itself is great. Ended up getting a great price and loved this hotel! Great location, very new and clean and comfortable! AMazing shower, very satisfied, would stay here again in a heartbeat.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Our hotel was under construction when we arrived, but another hotel was made available to us. The hotel provided cabs for all 15 of us to another location. The hotel they gave us was wonderful. "art hotel with style"
White & bold colours mix in this contemporary hotel, a quiet and calm space to stay. Situated between the major galleries and the tapas plaza called santa ana. As a new property in minimalist style this is a great find at an excellent price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Totally impractical for more than one night.,"
Impractical design - too clever for its own good. Bathroom lights like operating theatre and floods bedroom area which is disturbing for sleeping parnter. Didn't like washbasin in bedroom. No central light, no lights over work desk, bedisde lights mismatched and useless for reading. Main room area dark, Wifi access complicated. Very cheap furniture. […] No drawers and insufficient hanging space for more than one person/one night. Russian roulette to work out light switches. No info in room about hotel services or coffee machine in corridor. Good large tv, but slow to load. Excellent shower - most expensive part of room, but no ventilation so smelt dank. No black out curtains in room and could not open windows when it rained. Garage only suitable for small cars even though we had asked in advance if we could park our Kia Sportage , we were not advised of this and found it impossible to park as space was too limited. We scraped our car trying to manoeuvre.Good bed, very clean room and pleasant young staff. Quiet. Nothing really "arty" about it. Not a hotel - more rooms with reception and okay for young people who wish to stay out all night. Location very good. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great stay for the end of our trip"
After a whirlwind European vacation, this was a great hotel to end our trip in. There were a few hotels along the way that had some minor problems, but not this one. It was clean. The wifi worked ALL the time. The daily chambermaid did a great job. The shampoo/soap/towels were replaced every day. The room is big, and the bed was very comfortable (soft). […] The shower was big, and it had a huge rain shower head. The service was great, and everyone was friendly and helpful. The location is great; only a 10 min walk to Sol/Metro, but still very quiet at night. Also, if you wonder how it feels to live in an Ikea-ish room, this is the place the stay. . Only two things that could be improved on: 1) I wish the room safe was bolted down. 2) Not too much natural sunlight if you're facing the courtyard. But this wasn't a huge deal for us. Great job One Shot 23. If I ever come back to Madrid, I'm staying here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Only issue on night one was the air conditioning which while working did not keep the room nearly cool enough. This was reported the next morning and was successfully sorted that day and the temperature was very cool for the rest of the stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect location lovely hotel"
Brilliant hotel in a great area. Large, clean room with everything you would need. Very calm and quiet with trendy furnishings.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel is located in the heart of the old district and is therefore ideally situated. The people at reception were very friendly and helpful. The room we had was clean but the decor didn't appeal to my husband and me as it was every minimalist and the bathroom was very basic. It would no doubt appeal to a younger clientele.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Best location in Madrid and wow what a bed"
I have stayed in Madrid before so really wanted to get the location right this time. The location of this hotel is fabulous, everything 2 minutes away, so no need for taxis. We had a balcony room which was lovely and […] surprising very quiet. the room was stylish, the bed huge and it was cleaned perfectly everyday. A great small hotel which feels fresh and contemporary in an amazing location in central Madrid. All the local attractions are in easy walking distance. The hotel has paid a lot of attention to interior design detail both in the public spaces and guest rooms. Staff were young friendly and efficient and the bed was very comfortable.
