"Hotel and staff excellent, location questionable ?"
The hotel and staff were excellent, very good value. Room was large and comfortable. The 5th floor had a private workout area and pool. Staff constantly cleaning , well maintained. The walkability is poor. The side streets around the hotel are what you would expect in a 3rd world country, Heavy traffic, pollution issues. You will need to use the hotel […] shuttle or taxi to malls/shops. The restaurant at the hotel was very good, you must try the oreo smoothie! With all this said I did not feel uncomfortable or unsafe at anytime, and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Decent price service apartment with good security"
It is a decent price service apartment which is generally cheaper than most 3-star hotels in Bangkok. It provides shuttle bus to nearby MRT but without shuttle bus the walking distance is quite a bit thus will need to rely on taxis. Overall very satisfied with what I get though you need to be familiar with the route getting into the small Soi.Genuine Expedia guest review
"God valuta for pengene"
Dejlig store værelser. Lidt slidt bygning. Til den pris er der ikke noget at klage over. Rigtig god mad, masser af gode retter og mange foreskellige retter til meget fornuftige priser. Ca 50 baht for en taxi til gode shopping muligheder. Alt i alt godt ophold uden klager herfra. Dejlig pool og Gym på 5 sal.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Rahatlıkla kalınır.. (It's a good choice to stay!)"
Location is […] ok, very close to shopping center, especially Fortuna Mall. The staff is very helpful, Mr.Kei or(Key) is bonus :) Rooms are spacious and the bed was conmfortable. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

goed, locatie wel te ver van metroGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I like this place - been here before. Spacious rooms - location good if you are accustomised to using motorbike taxis. Got decent gym and good pool. The downside is that the bed is really hard. All in all, great value for money. Please book online for a better deal. The rates in the lobby is rather high.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel with pool and sauna"

Loved this hotel. Friendly staff with good English skills, unlike many other people in Bangkok. The room was huge and the beds were soft. The shower had some issues sometimes, but overall it was good. The only thing was that we had to pay for the wifi because we booked with a booking agency... That was unfortunate. But really: loved this hotel. And not even bad for the budget!

My family and I had stayed for months and felt very happy. The room price and accommodation are quite reasonable. I really appreciate all staff; front & back that has superb service mind and always smile to customers. There is free shuttle bus every hour which takes only 5 min. to subway train which good enough to travel anywhere in Bangkok.
"I loved the place !"

In April I stayed 9 nights at the B.U. Place Hotel. I loved the place: good service, great staff, simple but big room ( a superior studio at 24.7 euro/ night ) witch was cleaned thoroughly every day. The bathroom was brand new. The room provides surely enough space (42 square meters). The hotel has a nice swimming pool and fitness room. Internet costs 100 bath/day extra. The restaurant next to the hotel provides tasty breakfast for 150 to 220 bath. I also had dinner there almost every evening ( 250 to 370 bath ). The quality of the food is good. I think that the location of the hotel however is not suited for “first timers” in Bangkok. The hotel is located in a typical Thai community with few tourists, few shopping possibilities and no cafes or nightlife for tourists. But this didn’t bother me at all. There are shops ( Seven Eleven ) in the neighborhood where you can buy food and drinks. I liked the area around the hotel but for “first timers” walking the streets at night might cause some needless fear. The hotel does provide a free shuttle bus to the nearest MRT station ( Phra Ram 9 ) almost every hour. Central Plaza situated at the MRT station is a super big shopping mall. By foot the trip from the hotel to the MRT station takes about 15 minutes. The tuc-tuc costs about 50 bath. MRT Phra Ram 9 is only 2 stations away from Sukhumvit station ( AND the connecting Asok BTS station ). From here it is easy to explore Bangkok. You can also take a taxi at the hotel directly to the touristic Sukhumvit area for about 60 to 100 bath. Keep in mind that a hotel of the same quality situated on Sukhumvit Road or a Soi of Sukhumvit costs at least double. I would surely stay at B.U. Place Hotel again.

Certainly not a terrible stay, but the hotel wasn't the cleanest and the rooms were poorly furnished. Although the bellmen were incredibly nice and helped us with taxis, the reception desk was confusing at times. Also note that B.U. place requires you to place a cash deposit (as I recall, 1000 baht, which is a lot). The location was less than ideal...a far walk from the metro and not along a heavily trafficked road where taxis passed. The only thing that really redeemed B.U. place was the woman outside late at night who sold the best Pad Thai I've ever eaten in my life. The family owned restaurants along that street are all wonderful.

This is a terrible stay when I holiday in Bangkok. Super hard to get taxi back to hotel. It did happen to me when I try to back to hotel from shopping mall. Most of the taxi reject to fetch instead asking a expensive price don't ever think of by meter. Is reject to fetch you back to hotel. meaning that even you have money you also hard to get the transport to back to the hotel.

This is the second time we came here for a long stay and the service is nothing like the first time. As soon as we came in the room, we found a lot of mold spots inside the bathroom. We called reception to request for a new room and also request for a bedding set. The answer we got is to wait until morning because there is no maid available at the time(10pm). They sent a security guard to come check out the mold but all he did was looked at it and tell us the same answer to wait. At that time, I decided to call reception to request for a new room as she informed me during the first phone conversation that there were rooms available. The reception then told me we can't change room because all rooms are full. I didn't like that she pretty much lied to us but I was willing to wait for the maid in the morning but wanted to complain a bit on the issues. After I started, she immediately argued and replied back in a way that she didn't care and didn't want to listen. She said " if we have any complain we have to leave comments on their website ". I think as a person in a service industry, she should have found a better way to make customers feel better about the hotel than that.

It's a beautiful place to stay. The staff is very kind especially Ms. Nan who is a wonderful women. She is a reception manager. Ms.Nan helped us find the best Indian restaurants, places to visit, assisted us in getting taxis and also cautioned about the ptotest places to avoid. Thanks Ms.NAN and thanks BU Place staff!!. We will visit again. I strongly recommend this hotel
"Decent place to stay for a night or two"

This was our first time to Asia and we just needed a hotel for the night before we flew to Chiang Mai. Found this hotel on the internet and it seemed to be 1/2 way point between Bangkok airport and Don Muang airport and it was a very reasonable price for 4 adults (approx. $80.00 USD for the Royal Suite). We booked the Royal Suite with two bedrooms and please realize this is a budget hotel so don't expect grand luxury. The pictures were a little misleading, the room was clean but not as contemporary as the pictures on the website seem to be at least for our suite. This hotel seemed to be a little off the beaten pathway but our cab driver just asked a local for exact locations when we got in the vicinity and he had no problems. When we checked in the staff didn't really speak English very we'll but we were able to understand them enough to get everything done that was needed. They even booked us a taxi at 6am for our departure which was a great help since we wouldn't of known how to get a cab since they aren't just sitting out front like many other hotels. From previous reviews on tripadvisor I was leery of the check-in process and was worried about any monetary hassles. I don't believe they say it on the website but they do request in cash, $2,500 baht up front for a room deposit. We only stayed for one night and at checkout they had a man go look at our room and after he okayed that our room was not damaged they returned the deposit in full. So luckily for us it was not any major deal, just know to have the baht on hand as they do not accept credit cards for the deposit. As for the room itself it was clean and modest. It was not luxurious by any means and it did have a small kitchenette. It was a very basic suite with two bathrooms and two bedrooms with a living room. The AC worked great and cooled the room down quickly. The bathrooms seemed a little run down and after two of us took showers there wasn't any hot water left for the other two companions. We were on the 18th floor and had a view to what I'm assuming might of been downtown Bangkok. To get to our rooms we took a small elevator and the hallway of the hotel reminded me of a school dorm. They have free internet but it is only assigned to one user per room. We had to buy more access connections but they were only $3.00 USD per person so compared to what many US chain hotels charge this was a bargain. I'd stay here again if it was for a short period of time or I really needed to watch my budget. It was a great value for 4 people who just needed some shut eye before heading off to the airport.
"A bit out of the way"

My husband and I stayed here for 4D3N in September. It is a very clean place with basic amenities. The staff are also very helpful. There is a lot of street food available right outside the hotel the whole day long, and many convenience stores. The only downside is that it's a bit far from the nearest MRT (phra ram 9) station and you can't walk there and back, so everytime you'd need to take a taxi or a tuk tuk. Be careful with the tuk tuks as they can charge exorbitantly and the same goes for taxis too, as it's a short distance to drive. The hotel shuttle bus is ok to take from the hotel but coming back is a bit of a problem as the timings are fixed and start rather late in the weekends.. The breakfast spread could also be better, I'd suggest eating right outside as the food stalls along the road are amazing for authentic Thai food, and they are quite a hit with the locals as well.
