Fantastic 5 star hotel with luxury villas and apartments. Perfectly suited to those who enjoy holidaying with their kids without sacrificing on luxury accommodation. "A romantic get away.."
Everything about our stay was perfect except for one issue. The hotel owns all the stores and shops in the area. The food prices and gift prices are are fixed and VERY high. Example: A hamburger sells for $14.00. Other than feeling ripped off in this area our stay was perfect. The beach is a 10 minute walk from the property and is very private and […] scenic. Hotel has super potential, however it is still under construction, !!! Construction workers everywhere, dining room not yet built, pool completed on the day we left. Maybe by summer 2013 it will be ready and very high classGenuine Expedia guest review

"Wonderful staff and lovely rooms"
I had a wonderful time at Anantara but the staff were what made the trip truly excellent. I gifted this trip to my mother for her birthday but on the very first day of our travels she tripped over and twisted her knee while we were exploring Turtle Village, the small shopping centre across the road. I dashed across to the hotel where the kind staff […] organised a golf buggy to come and collect her and take us back to our room. They then sent a first aid officer to help us and offered to call a nurse. Periodically over our entire stay the first aid officer would call in on us to check on her healing knee and even rigged up a walking stick to help her get around. The hotel manager even called us to check everything was ok. Other staff were wonderful as well; with the morning server at the breakfast sala (buffet) always greeting us with a smile and remembering our drink orders from the previous day. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a wonderful pool, comfortable beds (I was tempted to steal the pillows) and a giant bath you can truly sink into. The big draw back is the location. It is a 10- 15 min walk to the beach which isn't great in the heat and the hotel, while close to the airport (20mins away), is at least 45mins from the tourist attractions that may draw you to Phuket in the first place. If you're after peace and quiet this is the perfect place for you and if you don't mind the drive, taxi's are usually cheap and will wait up to 4hrs for you if you want to explore. We had a two bedroom poolside apartment but had not expected our own private pool. The apartment was very nicely furnished with two en-suite bathrooms, three TVs with DVD players and a well equipped kitchen with washing machine and drier. The grounds are beautifully laid out and the beach is just ten minutes walk through the complex. There are gift […] shops, coffee shops and a bar across the street and a supermarket five minutes drive away. I would recommend renting a car as it is not near to a town. "Not sure if I'd stay again"
I stayed in a 2BR pool villa recently. When I booked on this site, I was not aware/informed that the property was in soft launch stage. Construction was half done. Also, correspondence with the hotel staff suggested we'd be having breakfast at JW Mariott as the restaurant is not built yet. However, the counter staff vehemently denies this despite email […] proof and was arguing with me over semantics. Breakfast was served at Bill Bentley, which is rather horrid if this was truly a 5 star property. Despite being new, light fixtures were not working. The side table was broken. In all, don't stay here until they've sorted themselves out. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Anantara Vacation Club Phuket Mai Khao Dear Alvin Thank you for your comments and I am glad to announce that Anantara Vacation Club is now 100% complete including our restaurant 'Chaam'. Our wood-fired pizza sala 'Crust' is also operational so now there is not need to utilise our neighbours for a dining venue. I do hope you choose to stay with us again as I look forward to offering you an unforgettable dining experience. Thank you Lyndon Ellis General Manager
"High-end location.....remote spot away from crowds"
Anantara offered a very high end stay in Thalang which is about the only quite beach in Phuket. The facilities are top notch, especially with access to the Anantara hotel directly across the street which offered many restaurants and a fabulous beachside pool and patio. It is very remote here though which we found a blessing compared to the rest of Thailand […] which is very busy and very crowded. The Marriot next door also offers many services as well. The only caution we make is that the complex is still under construction so at times it was a bit noisy, but given the beach and pools you won't hardly be in your room anyways. "Fantastisk dejligt sted."
(ATV, elefant ridning, bådtur o.s.v.) Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great stay in phuket !"

Stayed here for 4d3n. Everything is perfect but just a bit far from town and Patong. It take an hour to reach Patong beach. We got to rent a car to Patong beach. Room is huge for 4persons. Our package including airport transfer. Staff here very kind and friendly. We got a pool suite room. The breakfast is nice and beverages and meal here with reasonable price with 5stars service. Happy hour from 4-6pm. So you can get buy 1 free 1 at the pool bar. Overall, I will say... It's great if you prefer a quiet place to relax and for family stay with kids. But if you like some happening and shopping.. The maybe this place won't suit you.
"Relaxing, glamorous, well appointed"

Recently stayed 3 nights. Seamless pickup from airport to Vacation Club, warm welcome on arrival, recognised as returning guests. We stayed in one of the new villas- WOW- exquisite furnishings and presentation, very well equipped, own plunge pool, nothing had been overlooked. The resort is well equipped- bikes, gym, large main pool, kids club, beautiful gardens and public areas. Cocktails by the pool make for a very pleasant way to fill in the tim, esp the two for one cocktails in the Happy Hours from 4pm to 6 pm. Room service imenu is comprehensive, quite reasonably priced and quite timely. The highlight of our stay was the Dining by Design where the barbecue was set up in our courtyard. So too was our table, chef and his team came in and cooked and served like we were in our personal restaurant- choice of seafood, meat or Thai. We went for seafood and had lobster, prawns, fish, salads, dessert- so lovely to be served such a beautiful meal and not have to worry about the cleaning up afterwards. Beautiful fresh produce. Thoroughly recommend the whole experience of the Vacation Club- everybody should do it at least once in their lifetime!
"Good Stay at Anantara Phuket"
01/27/15 Chee Seng L
The overall experience of staying at Anantara Vacation Club Phuket have been great, the staff are friendly, professional and the facilities are top notch. Mine was a free 5D/4N stay with a 90 minutes attendance for a Sales Presentation. I must say the sales staff was very professional and experienced, there was no pressure or force sale tactic to entice me to purchase the package unlike many other time-sharing sales pitch. The slight problem is the location of the hotel, it is close to the Phuket International Airport, approx 15 minutes up north, but quite far away from the ever popular Patong Beach, approx one hour drive down south or Phuket town. This will be a great vacation if you intend to stay and make full use of the hotel facilities, like the gym, pool, restaurants, etc. Right across is the self contained shopping mall, called the Turtle Mall, with decent shopping and variety of restaurants to cater for the different taste bud to make up for the distance to other amenities. I would recommend this resort to those who takes frequent trips abroad for holiday and last but not least who can afford it.
"Just Back From A Long Weekend in Paradise"

This resort is one of my favourites in Thailand, and a perfect place for a few days away with my son. Best news about this resort is that they have added some extra activities that meant my son was entertained and I got to enjoy cocktails by the pool. A rock climbing wall kept him entertained for hours, and the movie night was so much fun for him and I. We got to do the cooking class this time which was great and even though I consider myself the "worst cook" i think I could actually pull off replicating the four dishes we learnt. The Spa was amazing, not your usual stuffy hotel spa, but really relaxed and authentic. The massage I had was great and the setting is just beautiful. But the best part of this resort is the villas. Larger than what I live in every day I just love them. So much so that I dream of moving in. The beds are divine and the pools unlike some villa pools are actually big enough to swim in. The staff here make you feel like nothing is too much trouble, and with those beautiful Thai smiles you can experience true thai hospitality. Must put this one on your list.

When I arrived the airport and wait the staff to pick me up. From the email, your staff said that he will wait at the meeting point B (inside the airport). But finally, we cannot find him inside the airport. And then I go outside. Wait and wait...After 30 mins, then I ask people one by one. To see which one is Anantara staff. Finally I found him. He is holding a paper which is showing the other hotel name, he didn't show "Anantara Vocation Club" hotel name. So i need to waste 30mins to find him. But the hotel services and facilities are good. The only problem is the arrangement is poor.
"Fantastic place for families with young kids!"

The resort was brilliant! We had such a wonderful time there and this place exceeded my expectations! They pay good attention to details and is a very kid friendly resort. Bikes with child seat, kids menu, kids club, etc. Good. Only thing is if you like to explore Phuket, it may be best for you to rent a car as transport by taxi is really expensive. Otherwise we were happy with the resort and activities provided.

"Posh Vacation Resort for the Family"

This is a very good vacation resort if you have the money to spend or the wiser thing to do is buy their vacation club ownership so that you'll get to stay at a cheaper rate. We stayed here for 4 days and rented 2-units with 2 bedrooms each. One at the ground floor with it's own mini-pool and the other at the second floor with a view of the outdoor pool movie. We were a big group/family of 13 that included 3 small kids. Positives: Location is in the quieter side of Phuket Amenities are world-class (pools, access to the beach, gym, kids' playground, restaurants, bike rentals, etc) Rooms are very clean and comfortable Resort is well-kept If you don't want to eat out (there are restaurants inside the resort and the adjacent Turtle Village Commercial Center also owned by the resort), you have the option to cook inside your suite/villa because all the tools and equipment are available. You just need to buy the food/ingredients that you will cook. With washing machine and dryer inside the units. Staff are courteous and friendly Kid friendly activities available in their kids' club Areas that can be improved: Breakfast food choice is relatively the same everyday so you'll grow tired of it on the 3rd day Lunch/dinner in the restaurants inside the resort is pricey The beach access is a bit far if you are staying in the other side of the resort or not in the villas Color of the water coming out of the faucet in the bathroom/tub is yellowish (although this could be true to the locality and not just the particular resort)
"Great experience in nice hotel & ambience (which needs "small" tweaks"

Make no mistake about it - Anantara is a luxurious place with well kept ground and a beautiful decor in the room as well as lush landscaping. This honestly got us taking out our cameras all over the place on our iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, and Panasonic SLR! We have two condos which will be delivered in April and May (keeping my fingers crossed) and this place gave us many ideas especially with much of the furniture originating from Chiang Mai (definitely going to Thailand to look for furniture, at least at the Chatuchak market in Bangkok). The resort itself maybe far away from Kuta and Phuket town but the hotel does a great job of having a shuttle going there for THB500 round trip. This is much cheaper than the THB1600 round trip quoted by the taxis, or even THB900 one way. But for all its good job, I feel that it could have better because there were small details…. The TV reception was not clear (it was supposed to be a HD channel) and I couldn’t seem to borrow any Bluray discs although the player is Bluray. Played our DVDs very well though - maybe the SmartTV improved the image There were some stains on the sofa Room service was not there on the third day Really felt that we weren’t given a good briefing on the facilities These are little details no doubt, and aren’t deal breakers in any sense whatsoever. Before coming, I read many reviews on te “hard selling” tactic that they would use to get us to join the Vacation Club. It DID NOT materialise. They were extremely courteous and tried to accommodate my tight schedule and various constraints (I have cancelled holidays at the 11th hour, like 3 hours before the flight). The packages were very attractive and you can easily calculate your ROI to save costs over time. You can either use Anantara or ensure you’re lucky enough through Groupon (yes, we got 27% lower than Agoda from a Villa deal in Bali through Groupon). Since we are waiting for the delivery of our condos, we were just focused on spending the money on our furniture. Left Anantara resort very happy though and am still remembering the barbeque by the beach (it was at the Anantara Villas btw) under the moon listening to songs like “Endless Summer Nights” … PRICELESS
