We were so happy with our stay at Hunters Lodge, it is a bit off the beaten path if you are traveling to Bath or Stonehedge, but it is beautiful country in Wincanton. Hunters lodge was great, staff was personable, very accommodating and kind. They upgraded us to a larger room without charging, got us a crib for our 2 year old, and went out of their way to make sure our son was happy in their restaurant. The dinner and breakfast (included) was great, we couldn't have been happier. The animals were fun for my son to see, even in snow. If the weather was warmer their is a great playground for your kids! The best part was the great value!

The Pebbles was a great stay for us considering its location, price and, above all, the excellent service provided by the proprietors. Highly recommended!

This was a great restaurant B&B on our overnight before Bath. It was a little further away than I expected, yet that was inconsequential because of the gem that is Nunney Castle! We had a delicious dinner in a beautiful inn before heading up for a nice sleep. The lack of a standing shower was a novelty to work around, but a good breakfast helped! A block away was Nunney Castle for a nearly private exploration: a small, charmingly symmetrical ruin completely surrounded by a moat. It was an unexpected treat to come across and we got some incredible pictures. Quite a nice stay.
