Service by front desk staff was excellent. Only problem we had was climate control-temperatured was either very warm or very cold with one degree difference on thermostat. Reported but not resolved.

Service was good until they misinformed us of car service rates, and we round up paying through the nose for a ride to the airport. Room was fine and front desk people were polite but they need to provide more accurate information.

Most of the hotels in NYC are overpriced but this hotel was reasonable and quite comfortable to stay. We (a family of four) stayed for 3 nights and had a good time. The advantage of this hotel is easy access to the Grand Central, and the UN, and other major tourist destinations in the Midtown and Downtown areas.

We liked our stay, everything was nice, though the room is very small, it was a little bit hard to stay with a one year old baby in so small room, but we were out most of the time, so it was ok. The main concern for us was a parking. Parking garage is couple steps away and prices are high, for our Chevrolet Avalanche overnight parking was 75$, but hotel […] gives parking vouchers which drops price by 50%, it was very helpful for us. The room was way too small. Very uncomfortable for 4 people to stay in. The complimentary breakfast wasn't good either. Staff was friendly, room was clean, no noise from the street. Great for the price. Walking distance to major attractions in manhattan.

The facility and the room were quite nice for the price, but a few cusomer service related things were a little off about my stay. First, I'd had to modify my hotels/com reservation two days before my trip, and the hotel never received the update. After three hours of passing my issue off and not being sure whether they could honor my pre-paid reservation […] or not, they discovered that their fax machine was broken and that's why the correspondence about my reservation change never came through. I had to miss important meetings because of this debacle, and the staff were neither very apologetic about the problem nor in a rush to fix it. Also, the continental breakfast was scheduled for 6-10am, but by 8am almost everything was gone (including utensils) with no sign of any staff around to refill anything. My room, however, was very clean and comfortable, and I appreciated the free wifi. Read more

Had a wonderful stay at Hampton Inn, Great location being close to Grand Central Station, Bedding is Soooo cosy, Staff were extremely helpful, courteous & vibrant ... I would recommend highly a stay here and will be back on my next trip to NYC
