"Id go there just for Mark. He takes care of you!"
We stayed here because of a birthday trip to the mountains and tour of Fallingwater which is only 30mins away. Before we actually checked in, we were warmly greeted by Mark and he won us over until the day we left. We had an early checkout bc of the tour but he gladly invited us back for brunch since we missed out on breakfast. Little things like that […] go a looong way. Ive stayed at numerous B&Bs around the world and I would say this tops the list (= Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This place is phenomenal! The innkeeper- Mark- was so welcoming- and a great host! The breakfast was excellent. We certainly hope to return for a longer stay sometime in the future! We will bring swim suits as there is a great jacuzzi, and wine to enjoy at the great fire pit outdoors. The house is painstakingly restored, and quite the showplace. Highly […] recommend this as a must stay for anyone visiting the Laurel Highlands! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not a Musty Old B&B"
South Broadway Manor is a beautiful bed and breakfast. The b&b is full of interesting antique collections and is a fun place to explore. The bedroom was clean and the bed was soft. Breakfast was excellent (strawberry and almond parfait followed by ham and cheese quiche with a side of warm sugared pears). If you are planning on going to Fallingwater […] this is a great place to stay. Highly recommended. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Wow, this B&B was extrordinary!"
Victorian house on steroids! Interesting decor, including knight's armor helmets, amazing paintings, historical objets d'art. Michael, the manager, was incredibly gracious and made my wife and I feel like visiting dignitaries. I'd highly recommend staying at South Broadway Manor to anyone looking for an interesting, off-the-beaten-path, high-value place […] to rest the wearies. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Wonderful first experience at a Bed and Breakfast"
This place was like a museum inside and out. Filled with beautiful paintings, relics, antiques, etc. After getting our bags to our room, The Crystal Rose Room, I asked the owner's brother if he would give us a tour of the mansion. What an educational and amusing tour! We then headed back to our room to get situated for the night and before we knew it, […] the amazing innkeeper, Jefferson, brought us yogurt and fresh fruit parfaits and 2 plates of warm chocolate chip cookies! Our room and bathroom were spotless, with everything that we needed for a comfortable stay. The next morning, we made our way downstairs to the dining room and enjoyed a truly superb breakfast that was very filling and delicious. We then went out for the day to ride our bikes on the bike trail and spend some time at Greendance Winery. We were only minutes from each place. The owner of the Bed and Breakfast invited us, and the other guests, back for dinner on the patio. The stone patio and pergola are beautiful. Huge green plants, flowers, fountains, swing, fish pond, string lights , lanterns and candles burning all around. For a very fair, additional fee, we had a delicious dinner: 2 appetizers, salad, steaks grilled to perfection, sides, dessert and wine. We slept amazingly well and our shower was the best shower I've ever felt. The next morning, we enjoyed another gourmet breakfast before checking out. This B & B made us feel like royalty and we can't wait to go back! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

I loved the entire visit from check in til check out. The staff was amazing and the house was beautiful. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!!!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Ornate house in a strange little town."
This house is over the top elaborate. If you're a military history buff, this is the place for you. Our room had 19th century uniforms and weapons on display (under glass). The bed was comfortable, the room clean. Breakfast was good - pancakes, omelet, coffee, juice. There was not a lock on the room door. That seemed very odd to me. There wasn't […] a surface in the mansion that wasn't decorated. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"More than we expected it to be"
The property was beautiful.Sorry that we were only able to stay one night. The location was not ideal- it was a 30 min drive to Fallingwater, which was our reason for visiting. The town really had nothing to offer and finding a good restaurant within a short driving distance was difficult. The staff was excellent, very friendly and accommodating. There […] was a terrace behind the house with a gazebo and comfortable chairs and tables. A great spot for a pre-dinner drink.Breakfast was only offered at one time -9AM- portions were large and tasty. Since we were up early,it would have been a nice touch to be able to have a cup of coffee available for guests before breakfast was served.

If you ever wondered what it was like to live the good life in 1900 or so, this is the place to find out. South Broadway Manor has amazing antique furniture and original gas fireplaces in the rooms. There was gas lighting too, but sadly modern insurance insists on electric light. That said, the brass placards from the original Edison lights telling people not to be afraid of the electricity are still there. The innkeeps, and maybe the owner too if you are in luck, can tell you some fascinating stories about the property including the prohibition era whiskey. We stayed here to go snow tubing and it was fantastic. A nice fire is a great way to warm up and there is a kitchen area so you can make your own late night drinks and snacks.

We couldn't have been more lucky to find South Broadway Manor on our travels, and meet Mark, the most generous and hospitable innkeeper we've met. He certainly knows how to treat guests --from the smaller details on comfort to the great morning breakfast of homemade delights. My husband and I were driving across PA for the purposes of visiting family. As we had to leave quite late from New York, and caught bad traffic/weather along the way, we decided last minute to stay a night somewhere in the middle. We called a few B&Bs and none could accommodate due to the last minute reservation and late hour of our arrival (1am), but Mark not only accommodated our hour of arrival, but helped us secure some late night snacks and drinks for our stay. It felt as if we were staying with family or a close friend! We stayed in the anniversary suite which was so beautifully decorated but somehow equally comfortable. There is a living room when you first walk in which has a nice fireplace and large seating area. The kitchen is perfectly sized for a small family/couple, as is the bathroom (with whirlpool tub). The bedroom is just flat out amazing. I literally walked in, sunk into the mattress, popped on the tele, and enjoyed Mark's late night snacks. What an incredible place to unwind! In the morning Mark was flexible with breakfast to allow us to sleep in a little. Breakfast was first course baked apples (amazing), then stuffed French toast with sausage and lovely coffee. We followed breakfast with a tour of the house which was very interesting. We even tasted some prohibition whiskey! Overall we we were just blown away. Mark took care of all the details of comfort, and is an excellent cook and host. We've literally traveled the world and have stayed at hundreds of boutique hotels and B&Bs, and this easily topped our list (and we only stayed a night). We are already planning a longer trip back!

We've been to at least 15 B&B's in multiple states and we felt this was among the best. Innkeeper Chef Michael was personable and friendly. The manor and grounds were impeccable and comfortable. We stayed in the Federal Room which not only was decorated beautifully, it had a separate reading room and a large private balcony to go along with a nicely appointed private bathroom. There was obviously much consideration to the details to make our stay comfortable. We chose to have Chef Michael prepare a dinner and were quite happy we did. His personalization of the menu and how he tied the 3-course meal together was a treat. The breakfast was equally well done. It's obvious the difference in meals prepared by a chef as opposed to the typical breakfasts made at many B&B's. We would consider a return visit when staying in the area in the future.
"20th Anniversary done right"

Wanted a B&B nearby some cross-country skiing for our 20th anniversary. Pat (owner) & Michael (chef) went out of their way to make sure that everything was memorable and affordable. This is not your ordinary "Mom & Pop" B&B. I highly recommend staying for dinner.
"Fine dining in gorgeous time period home"
03/11/14 Nancy J Columbus, Ohio
The owner gave us a fantastic tour of her historic home filled with museum quality collectable. The chef from NYC (who has been on "Chopped" and other "chef" shows) is her innkeeper. The meals were amazing!! The host and chef were VERY personable. Had a great time and felt pampered. Additionally, we had a good time cross-country skiing in Laurel Ridge State Park and touring Andrew Lloyd Wright's Falling Water Home.
"What a little hidden gem!"

I had the most amazing experience at South Broadway Manor Bed and Breakfast. We arrived very late after an evening of skiing, and to be honest, I was a little hesitant because the area is a bit in the middle of nowhere, but Karen and Kermit greeted us, checked us in and helped us get settled in the "Anniversary Suite" despite the time. The entire inn has an incredible history and the owner has done the most exquisite job decorating the inn to reflect its time period. I felt like I was staying in a museum. So many artifacts and the art collection is just amazing. Each room has its own "theme" and is unique in its own way. The breakfast served to us what extremely elegant and very good! I will definitely stay here again and recommend it to everyone I know! Don't leave without hearing all the stories and taking a tour!
"Once In a Lifetime Experience!"

Feels like you're entering a castle when you walk into this B&B! Decorated from floor to ceiling with eclectic art, history, & antique artifacts, this place is a must-see! I stayed in the Copper Room downstairs and absolutely loved it!
"Amazing Hospitality and Atmosphere!!!"

Stayed at the Manor over the weekend. Michael immediately made us feel welcome and comfortable. Above and beyond service! Patti and Michael made us feel like long time friends. The conversation and talks around the fire were a welcome surprise. The Mansion is gorgeous, although haunted by several former residents. If you're looking for a special weekend getaway and maybe a few spirits, I highly suggest South Broadway Manor. We will absolutely be back for many more special times.
"Awesome Girls' Getaway"
10/31/13 Sue U Finleyville, Pennsylvania
Michael and Patty pulled out all the stops to make our getaway absolutely memorable...from the warm welcome and house tour, to the shuttle run to and from Greendance Winery, and for the great conversation and laughs around the fire pit. The mansion is amazing with all the antiques and the careful restoration and the breakfast was delicious, but it definitely is Patty, Michael, Kristy, and Karen who make this B & B so very special. We can not wait to return!

Came in from Canada and stayed one night. We were met in driveway and welcomed by innkeeper Michael, carried our bags in and had coffee ready as we settled in.Breakfast is to die for, espically the pepper cured ham.We stayed in Federal Room, balcony at front and huge display of Civil War memorable. Will look forward to return visit and hopefully a tour by James,a man who has collected all the antiques and has the knowledge of history surronding same. Can't say enough about customer service provided, good job Michael and Cristy.
