The house is clean and has character. It is right outside the Volcano National Park. There are 3 restaurants and a small store nearby. Since it was rainy and around 50 degrees F when we were there, it would have been nice to have a space heater; however, there were several blankets on the beds, which made the night warm enough.

Malia's Birdsong B&B is situated in Hilo and area attractions include Hilo Municipal Golf Course, University of Hawaii at Hilo, and Imiloa Astronomy Center. Additional area attractions include University of Hawaii at Hilo Botanical Gardens and Rainbow Falls.

"Quiet, country location"
Located on a small farm, lots of flowers and trees. Peaceful, but not for those looking to be in the city and close to restaurants, shops, etc. 9 miles/20 minutes from town.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Comfortable and clean, elevated location. However, hard to find in the evening hour. Good continental breakfast. A bit of a drive to downtown Hilo. Quiet location, except for the nearby animals on occasion.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
