"Great location for a family of adults."
This hostel is well located near Sensoji Temple. Access to metro stations is very good. We stayed in the 4 person family ensuite. WIFI service is very good and free!Genuine Expedia guest review
"I'd choose somewhere else"
If you're thinking of buying this as past of an Expedia package then I'd reconsider. This was a homely backpackers, great shared facilities, a communal living room and kitchen (great if you want to cook for yourself but you're in Japan so why would you?), friendly and welcoming staff who all spoke perfect English and very clean but the downside was […] that the bedrooms are tiny. I'm not sure where the photos on expedia came from but I'm not sure they were representative. Our bedroom was a bunk bed and about the same space again to put our bags. We booked this as part of a package with flight and hotel and I chose it because I thought it would be quirkier than a standard business hotel. But since the location is a little out and the rooms only cost £15 per person if you purchased separately, I wished I'd picked somewhere else. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Spot in Tokyo"
06/30/14 Steff B London, United Kingdom
The rooms are clean and well maintained. The common area is cosy and a great place to meet peoples the kitchen is a little small but very few people seemed to use it. The staff were really friendly and very helpful and knowledgable. There are some good restaurants nearby as well as 7-eleven. Although a little out of the centre, this didn't affect us as it's very close to the subway and well connected. Great value for money!
"Nice vibe, but really small rooms"

I enjoyed staying in this K's house (as I have in three others), the common rooms are really nice and well maintained. Staff is very helpful und friendly, everything is clean. The rooms are very small - I know that Tokyo is a big and expensive city, but 5 people on 10 m2 is a little bit too much.
"Nice hostel, close to metro, will likely stay here again"

A nice hostel overall. The location was good - close to the metro, a few sites, and lots of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. Clean and nice to have a shared kitchen. Staff friendly and extremely helpful recommending restaurants and helping plan site seeing. I stayed in a 5 bed female dorm - the room had it's own sink and toilet but was pretty small (though maybe that's normal for Tokyo?). My second night there it was full, so the room was crowded with our bags in the centre. That being said, it was definitely manageable and there is a lot of common space on the main floor. I would likely stay here again if I came back to Tokyo for its convenience, cleanliness and helpful staff.
"Great Value, Friendly Staff"

A fantastic beginning to any trip to the older side of Tokyo. Great location to Metro, 10 minutes from Shinjuku, 20 from Shibuya. Cannot fault the value of the rooms. They are spotless, facilities are first grade, TV and air con in rooms. Many friendly people and staff who speak English. Highly recommend.
"Great atmosphere, good hostel"

If you are having a difficult time choosing a place to stay in Tokyo, you might wanna consider K's house in Taito. It is a hostel located in Asakusa area, good for those traveling on a budget and ideal for solo travelers, backpackers and what-not. The place has a good, friendly atmosphere, quite organised, very clean, and has all the basic amenities. There's a mini kitchen as well where you can prepare your food. The dorm rooms where I stayed are pretty small but has its own toilet. Each floor has two (2) shared shower rooms and two other separate toilets. Since space is a bit tight in shared bedrooms, movement is limited especially when the room is packed. I suggest you put on earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Other than these minor considerations, I find everything in this hostel absolutely in order. Also, what makes this place a good choice is the staffs who are not only excellent English speakers, but also extremely helpful to the guests in terms of giving directions, suggesting places to see and to eat, and the like. Don't hesitate to ask because they would gladly help and provide you with detailed maps and brochures. They are likewise very clear and accurate about the information they provide. Really efficient and excellent, I must say! In terms of location, it is a 10-minute walk to Senso-ji Temple and Nakamise Dori -- two of the popular attractions in Asakusa--and a 20-min walk to Tokyo Skytree across Sumida River. If, however, you frequent Shibuya, Shinjuku, and Harajuku, note that the hostel is about 20-30 min. train ride away. You might wanna consider that before making your choice. Getting there First, remember that there are two K's House in Tokyo. The other one is called K's House Tokyo OASIS. Anyway, you can use two lines to reach this hostel: Asakusa Line and Oedo Line. There are also a number of subway exit/entry points. For simplification and convenience, I recommend you take the Oedo line and get off at Kuramae Station Exit A6. From there it is a mere one-minute walk to the hostel. Just turn left on Exit A6 and then turn left again on the first street, then you will find K's House Tokyo (Yellow building). This is the closest distance in terms walking. There is a nearby 7-11 store where you can buy your essentials. Overall, I enjoyed staying at this hostel for the convenience and great atmosphere. I have fond memories of this place for the books! I would not hesitate to go back next time.
knowing that Tokyo is quite expensive, it was a good compromise. Located in Asakusa, close to the temple and metro station, supermarkets... they have a good range of maps that can help you find specific spots (ramen shops, temple...) Staff is very friendly and helpful! the only thing that i did like was the bathroom. There was only two toilets and 2 showers per floor... besides this, i recommend the place if you're traveling on a tight budget, or if you wanna meet new ppl.

Very Good hostel: the rooms are nice and clean and the hosts are very helpful with your travelling plans. It is also next to 2 subway statations which makes it perfect to reach every part of Tokyo. Highly recommended!

I really enjoyed staying there. Staff is very helpfull and nice. In my opinion there is enough of space in the rooms, but you will spend more time in the common space where the kitchen, reception and the entrance to the hostel are so you can quickly meet new friends. If you are using a JR pass then you have the nearest train station about 7-10 minutes walk from the hostel.

Have wonderful memories fo this hostel. Was there quite a while ago just a few months after it opened and everything was just perfect. Location is good, metro is 100m away, size of the room are good for an hosyel, nice rooftop on the building. And most important great welcoming and overall atmosphere. Great experience and will definitely come back!!!!
"good for young solo travelers on a budget"
04/16/14 MMKaye Quezon City, Philippines
Room - stayed at a 4-bed all female room; space too small if you have big luggage (had to sort luggage stuff outside so as not to wake up roommates); problem with room airconditioner during my stay; room trash wasn't collected on a daily basis so it was kind of gross if your bunkbed is next to it Staff - friendly and very accommodating (my requests for bed and room transfers were granted during my stay - just ask nicely) Location - 2-minute walk to nearest subway; 10-minute walk to Asakusa (Nakamise) district - can be a bit far if you want to frequent Shibuya, Shinjuku districts; neighborhood can be deserted at night but relatively safe for a solo traveler; there's a 7-11 with atm right across it
