"awesome place to stay"
Ecola greek lodge was very homie.. loved the friendly staff and loved how it didn't seem like we we're staying in a hotelGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Wonderful experience! I was very impressed and pleased. Very good value for the money.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The building and the gardens are very quaint and fitting for Cannon Beach. The hotel is also very close to the beach and easy walking distance from everything else. The room itself was a little generic, but clean and comfortable. We also had a great view.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Quiet & comfortable"
Overall great experience. Short walk to the beach, large rooms...the full kitchen and living room was fantastic. Priced reasonably. Would def. stay there again & recommend.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The room was very small for the price. Refrigerator was not working that well. Very tiny bathroom. Would like to stay somewhere that had a pool next time. not really kid friendly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"You are walking distance from main street"
Older motel but in good shape with friendly front desk and choc chip cookies at front desk and local paper. Fridge micro oven and coffee machine with good local product.Would stay againGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Quaint and in a great location near the shops and beach. I'll definitely stay there again upon my return to Cannon Beach.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great stay, great staff, great location."
Had a one room suite with living room and kitchen, which helps as I'm an early riser and my family not so early. Well stocked kitchen for cooking and eating. Beautiful older buidlings at the very entrance into town, so you're 2 blocks removed from the activity buzz the town can have. One block walk to the beach. Suoer friendly staff. Would stay here […] again everytime. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"So cute! Would reccommend to anyone."
We stayed one night and loved it. Even though the location is not right on the beach you can walk a few blocks into town or to the beach. We've never stayed at a non hotel chain and we were pleasantly surprised. It had a very homey quaint feeling to it with hot chocolate and fresh cookies in the lobby all day to our wonderful outdoor balcony that overlooked […] a beautiful garden. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was small but fit our needs and was comfortable and most of all was clean! Loved this place and would stay again. "Nice and Quiey"
Service was super, they where very polite and tended our needs. Facility was very clean and maintained. There was a full size coffee pot with microwave and standard hotel refrigerator. It was a few minutes walking distance to city center shops. There is no pool, that is ok.. the ocean is minutes away if you want to get your feet wet. The lodge is very […] pet friendly, please make sure you read their pet policy or call to ensure your room is available to have pets. The only problem we had was the Queen size memory foam mattress in our room, it needs updating. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Our one night stay was a pleasant surprise in this two room suite. Very clean and quiet. Close enough to walk to the town and beachGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Wonderful place to stay in Cannon Beach!"
I loved everything about the Ecola Creek Lodge. My boyfriend and I were here for two days before making our way to Portland for the remainder of our vacation. We both agree this was by far our favorite part of our vacation. The rooms have recently been renovated and were very clean. We could see the ocean from our room and even if we hadn't, all the […] other views around were simply breathtaking. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The walls seem very well insulated. The hotel itself is about a 7 to 10 minute walk to the main street with shops and restaurants, but we loved the location! Everything we wanted or needed to get to was within walking distance and we loved taking advantage of the view. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay at Ecola Creek Lodge and will return many many times! We highly recommend it. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very comfortable small motel"
The room was very clean. The beach is a very short walk and downtown was a pleasant 1/4 mile walk. The staff was very friendly. It wasn't very crowded when we were there so it was quiet but the property is maintained very well. We will be coming back.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great place to stay on a budget"
Ecola Creek Lodge is a great place to stay in Cannon Beach. Close to town and beach. We enjoy the peacefulness and old fashion comfort of the lodge. The staff is friendly and helpful and the room rates are reasonable!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great little hideaway"
Nice little place--out of the way but close to everything. Only possible issue was not television in bedroom--it is in the sitting room. I like to sleep with the tv on so this is probably not something someone else would have a problem with. Plan to stay again...maybe when it is not hailing or raining.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Friendly staff. Limited service available during day time office hours. We asked the front desk for restaurant ideas and they gave us a sheet that had a list of staff favourites - one for dinner and one for breakfast restaurants. We stayed in room 20. Nice room, corner suit. It was very windy and rainy. The rooms aren't very sound proof.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, great customer service -"
A great location only a 3-4 minute walk away to the beach. Lovely cosy rooms and friendly customer service. Walked into our room to be greeted with towel animals which was a nice touch. Bed was comfy but be aware that its an old guest house so the pipes can be a little noisy but is offset somewhat by being so close to the beach you can hear the sea […] . "Economical, nice room"

We are "locals" (as in further down the coast) but were looking for a quick get away. Because of the coast BEING the coast, there is so much that's over priced but really only average or worse being charged a premium dollar for bad quality/comfort. That is NOT the case with this lovely little gem...I'm happy we decided to reserve a room here. It's not "fancy" in the sense of what you'd expect at a 5 star resort but very modern, great sized-well taken care of rooms rooms, very clean and very comfortable. Its close to everything and frankly, I rather enjoyed its location being right on the edge of Ecola Park..makes you feel like your staying at a lodge in the forest. Really pretty grounds, easy access to most rooms, everything you could possibly need in a room to make it a comfortable stay...I'd go again in a heartbeat and am looking forward to when my husband and I can plan another trip.
"Beautiful area, Cozy and Comfortable"

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at Ecola Creek Lodge. We just wanted someplace to hang out, relax, and enjoy the quiet. Of course, we were expecting the rain, which was true to form, but having a gas fireplace made it cozy and warm. This is a unique lodge with every room different. We stayed in a one bedroom king suite with a kitchen. The kitchen area had a turret with a table and many windows available to look outside. We enjoyed seeing the wild rabbits all around us when it was not raining. We stopped in Manzanita at the Manzanita Fresh Foods store along Hwy 101 and selected some great breakfast rolls and milk, cheese, and snacks. Since we were into our second week of traveling, we appreciated that the lodge provided a washer and dryer since we travel light. As always, we enjoyed eating Mo's clam chowder along the coast and were delighted to find one on the south end of Cannon Beach. This section of the Oregon coast (Cannon Beach to Tillamook) is one of our favorite travel destinations.
"Love spending new year's at Ecola Creek Lodge"

This past January we spent our second consecutive holiday at our favorite spot in Cannon Beach. Many of their rooms are dog-friendly for a small fee. Overall cost is very reasonable too. We love being across the street from the beach and a close walk from town. It's a great spot-you're not right in the middle so access/parking is easy as is getting anywhere you need to get to. They have a nice selection of games you can borrow. Also the bunnies on the property are so cute. Room is simple but always clean and comfortable. Just what we were looking for, with a dog, and at a great price.
"Cozy, comfy and a great location"

We stayed here for 2 nights in September and I wish we could have stayed longer. It's located between the State Park and Cannon Beach (an easy walk to downtown). Our room was super cozy - loved the fireplace and the bathroom was HUGE. It was very tidy and the office staff was super. We did have an issue getting the television to work, but the maintenance folks were around the next day and reprogrammed the remote for us. There's not a lot of parking, but street parking was okay. We would definitely stay there again.

Coming from the north I was glad the lodge was at the town's north entrance. It's not by Haystack rock (and its crowds) but is closer to the shops and restaurants I like and the nearby Ecola park, and it is easy access to/from the highway. It's quieter all around than the main strip and you can go to town via a couple of jogs in the road or follow the beach which is faster once you cross the bridge over ecola creek just beyond the lodge. Our unit was not far from the reception, ground level northeast side, and we liked it. We had good weather and there was a little bench to sit on outside our room with only shrubbery at the back of the building. The room was of decent size, had conveniences and was clean. I think it is one of the best values in Cannon Beach...In fact we had stayed outside of Cannon Beach in recent years, but the lodge was affordable and away from the madding crowds, but within walking distance of everything. There are nice beaches in between Cannon and Manzanita (see Hug Pt Beach photo) and if you have a thrift/antique hunter in the family, take the short drive south to Wheeler. If you aren't into shopping yourself, cross the street and have vietnamese noodle soup and a craft beer on the deck while watching the fishing activity on the river...a contrasting scene to the beach areas.

We stayed here for one night on our trip down the coast. Nice property. The people who checked us in and out were wonderful. We stayed in a simple king room on the 2nd floor. View of the ocean. Very short walk to town. Quiet and peaceful. Very reasonable rate..much less than anything else in town, Couldn't ask for more. Would definitely stay again if in the area.
"Extremely clean, Pretty grounds"

I decided on 1-day's notice to drive from Vancouver to Cannon Beach in mid-September, when the weather was forecast to be in the 75-80 degree range. On such short notice I was lucky to get anything mid-week, so I booked this Lodge for 2 days. The price was about $50-100 less than comparable rooms in the area. The Lodge is a bit old fashioned in it's décor - plain Jane - but the bed was super-comfortable and the unit was exceptionally clean. Spotless bathrooms. I had a top-floor room on the NW wing, furthest from the roads, so it was quiet and even had a glimpse of the ocean. High winds seemed to cause a cable/phone/internet outage for half a day, but it was resolved by the evening. The location was about a 5-minute easy walk to the centre of Cannon Beach, with restaurants only about 3 minutes from the Lodge. I enjoyed it so much that I tried to book another night (Friday) and there was only one room left so they gave it to me at the same price as I paid (about $122) for the smaller room, even though the new room was actually a 1-br suite with a full kitchen. Very nice of them. Unfortunately there were no rooms available anywhere on that coast for 40 miles for Saturday, so my advice is to BOOK EARLY if the weather is forecast to be great as Portland empties out and flees to the coast. Cannon Beach is much nicer than Seaside (lovely galleries, shops, restaurants) and the beach is spectacular. All in all, I would recommend this Lodge for anyone who wants a quieter, not-so-trendy spot that is very clean and comfortable, with pretty landscaped grounds.
"Great quaint spot."

Loved this little spot when we went to Cannon Beach. We went with our 2 early twenties sons. We booked a 2 queen room. It was perfect, with mini fridge and coffee machine. When on vacation we like to manage breakfast and lunch on our own and then go out for dinner. This room enabled us to do that. It was clean and quiet, close to the beach.... perfect. Would totally stay again.
"Clean Room, Great Value"
08/23/14 Gina H Honolulu, Hawaii
I was looking for Cannon Beach hotels during tourist high season when I came across Ecola Creek Lodge. It was more than $200 cheaper per night than the next cheapest hotel in CB (which was $325 per night), so I decided to take a chance. Very glad I did! The exterior of the lodge is cute and the grounds are well kept. When I checked in, the attendant was friendly and gave me a discount on the pet fee (they have dog friendly rooms, too!) When I checked into the room, I was pleasantly surprised. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. The decor certainly wasn't anything fancy, but it was way better than expected and a great value for the price. I will definitely stay here again.
"Close & Friendly"
07/21/14 Mike T Brentwood, Tennessee, United States
The staff was great, very friendly and helpful. The location is tucked away just north of the main part of town, which is good if you want a nice quiet place to stay. Even though it's a little out of the way it is a very short easy way into town and the beach. However, it you want to go to the Haystack Rock, it is a hike. It's flat and on hard sand, but it is a bit of a distance. It's easy if you are healthy and enjoy walking. The exterior is picturesque but the rooms are small and dated, however they are clean and comfortable.
