Venice is very busy city but hotel was located close to attractions and was very quiet. Room was clea, breakfast lean but ok. The street to get to hotel is very dark but agian typical to narrow streets in Venice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel near the heart of venice"
This is a little cozy hotel with breakfast was a treat for us. It is conveniently located to sea bus and the major centers of the town. Room was comfy clean and everything in it was fully operational. Breakfast was continental but quite adequate. We thoroughly enjoyed the croissants.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Location, location, location"
A great location and although limited facilities it suited us as the majority of our time was spent out/about. Would agree it was more like a stylish b&b, but well decorated and very clean. Staff were friendly and curteous. breakfast was fine for us & croissants were lovely and fresh, not too heavy to go out walking/sailing on & plenty of lovely back […] lane coffe shop snacks to enjoy. A great price for the time of year compared with others in the same area.

"Great value for money"

This small Hotel is located just a few steps from the water bus stop and the St.Marks square. It is located in a small street, easy to find and really quiet. It is a really good choice if you're looking for a good place to sleep, near the main attractions and with a really good value. The breakfast is acceptable and with a few options. The staff is really nice and helpfull.
"Convenient, comfortable, affordable"

Ok, I will be up front. This hotel does not have a view, so if you want a large sunny balcony this is not the place to stay. But if you want an affordable hotel as close to St Mark's Square as you could ask (less than 2 minutes walk, even at peak crowds) then this _is_ the place. The Dimora Marciana is located, somewhat surprsingly, down a narrow dead-end alleyway, but just seconds from the main shopping area. Let's face it, this is Venice, so you will be out and about seeing the city, rather than sitting in your hotel room, so the location isn't really important. We (parents plus teenage daughter) stayed in the family suite - two bedrooms plus bathroom. Although sparsely furnished, everything needed was there including a safe and a (small) fridge. The TV was small, but who needs a TV in Venice? Breakfast was a little disappointing (a bit more freshly made and less prepackaged food would have been better; as would good coffee). To sum up, remember that central Venice is very crowded and expensive; with that in mind see that this hotel is excellent value for money. If you want a view for similar price you will need to go to Dorsoduro across the water (or Lido).
"Cute room & good location"
11/07/13 Méryl D Orlando, Florida
Good location - close to vaporetto stop and very close St Marks square. Located off a dark alley so a little spooky coming in later at night. One evening the neighbors were playing music loudly while we were getting ready for dinner but it was actually okay because we were dancing to it! There was an odd smell (lacquer) in our room so we had to sleep with the windows open at night. Maybe they had just renovated or repainted. I mentioned it to them and they said they couldn't smell anything so I just asked for an extra blanket since it got chilly at night with the windows open. Overall, the rooms very charming and the staff helpful.
"Cozy, courteous and convenient"

The staff at Dimora made sure that our stay in Venice was warm and friendly. Location was minutes off San Marco square but very quiet. A true B&B with only 7 rooms -- breakfast included. Roxanne was always present in the morning to converse and help us with reservations and suggestions. Would definitely stay here again.
"Wonderful Place to Stay"

What a teriffic find in Dimora Marciana. A wonderful little hotel off the beaten path but close enough to walk anywhere you want to go. Most impressive was the staff from the moment you walk in until the moment you leave. We loved Roxanne and everyone who made us feel so welcome and so at home. I hope we can return one day.
"Great Little Hotel!"

Stayed here during our first trip to Venice and couldn't have asked for more. Great price, lovely decor (very Venetian), spotlessly clean and with friendly staff. Ok the rooms are a little small but the positives far outweigh that. Highly recommend
"A cozy stay"

We stayed at Dimora for a couple of nights in June. The location of the hotel is excellent, with San Marco just a 5 minute walk away. Our room, though very nicely done up, was smaller than our expectation - though we realized later that rooms in Venice tend to be much smaller in general. The hotel and the room were neat and tidy, and the bathroom was the right size. The breakfast was simple but adequate. The hotel service was impeccable too. The room had a couple of windows, but there was no interesting view. We found the Dimora to be a bit steeply priced, though again - this seems to be a norm in Venice. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and we would definitely recommend it to others.
"Central Location, friendly owners"

Location is ideal if you want to be near Piazza San Marco, it's quiet and aircon was strong . A big plus when you're in Venice during June/July/August. Heat maybe tolerable but the humidity is a killer. Our room has no view but the room size, strong aircon ,central location and the quietness makes up for it. Owners Daniel and Manuel are super friendly, also the gal and the night person who work there(too bad I didn't get their names). We had a quad room with a separate bedroom for the kids.Paid cash to get a better rate which is no big deal since there was an ATM nearby. Definitely will stay her again next time we're in Venice.
"cozy hotel near St. Mark's"
07/15/13 Tom W San Francisco, California
My wife and I stayed for only 2 nights in June 2013 along with our small children (9 and 7). The room was great - with modest AC for the Venice heat. The bathroom was not too small, and everything was clean and nice. Breakfast was good, too. The best part of the stay was the staff. They were wonderful - everyone made us feel welcome and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again next time I/we visit Venice.
