My wife and I stopped into Assisi for a 24-hour stay while honeymooning in Rome. The hotel is about a 5-minute (UPHILL) walk from the Giovanni Paolo II parking lot/bus stop. Assisi is difficult to get around in with large luggage, there's just no getting around that. The hotel staff was friendly and spoke English well - a plus since we didn't learn much Italian before we left. The wireless internet service was provided via a print-out password you receive upon arrival. It doesn't work in your room, only in the hotel lobby. However, it is quite fast when you're in the lobby. We hiked about ten minutes to get to St. Clare's (UPHILL), and about 7 minutes to St. Francis's (mostly level or DOWNHILL). Our room had a breathtaking view of the Medieval city and the Umbrian plain. Breakfast was typical Italian fare - ham and cheese, croissants and rolls, cappuccino and coffee, juices and sweet breads. It's enough to get you through the day. We would definitely stay here again if we ever make it back to Assisi.

We loved the charm of this place and the location within the city center was perfect. Breakfast was nice, room was large, staff was very helpful and nice. We will definitely stay here again.

Hotel Alexder was fabulous! It was representative of Assisi in all respects. The room was small and there isn't an elevator but overall it was great! Hotel service was excellent! Breakfast was served daily in our room with table linen by two adorable ladies and Simone took good care of us throughout our stay. I would highly recommend it.

This is a terrific hotel. great location, leave your car in the top carpark and walk down to the hotel....not that far and if your bags are on wheels it's fine ( you get a voucher for parking on check in, and even taking into account the €10 a day parking) this hotel is great value. Breakfast delivered to your room...what a treat (there is no dining […] room on site) The staff are really helpful. I had one of the downstairs rooms and it was fabulous, yes the bathrooms are small.....this is Europe and an old hill town! Read more

Hotel alexander var et lite og sjarmerende hotell. Beliggenheten var helt perfekt kun få meter fra torget. Hotellpersonalet var veldig hyggelige og behjelpelige med alt vi spurte om. Rommet var stort med fantastisk utsikt, god plass på badet og det ble holdt rent hver dag. Frokosten fikk vi servert på rommet til ønsket tid hver morgen.
