public toilet and shower Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Went for breakfast but it was so good"
08/31/14 William T Bangkok, Thailand
I did not stay here but took a friend here for breakfast as it looked like a nice place to enjoy a weekend breakfast. My rating probably has more to do with the server than with the place itself. First off we were handed the lunch and dinner menu and had to ask for the breakfast menu. Next the coffee was instant coffee - a disappointment. The toast was very nice bread but came long before the eggs. The watermelon was cut with a knife that had been used to slice onions. So, the watermelon tasted of onions. Bacon was ordered but we were served sausage. I would go back but probably not for breakfast. But I saw they there served some very appetizing looking salads. So, I will give Baan Dinso a second chance. The decor and atmosphere is nice and the location good. While the service may not have been professional, they were certainly friendly and courteous.
The owner was the friendliest hotelowner i met on my trip. I broke my leg and stayed here three weeks waiting for my returnflight. The hotel wasn't very good for a person with a broken knee but the owner did her best to help me and make my life as easy as possible. I recommend this hotel very strongly
"Had a great time here!"

I stayed at Baan Dinso for one night and it was wonderful. I booked GRAND room which is on the 4th floor of the building. Democracy view is to die for........I love every minute in this room. Not to mention complimentary minibar and free wifi. Bathroom is big with huge bathtub. One little problem is that I had requested body gel for several times. And I didn't get it until I had to find on-floor staff to fill it. Anyway, I really like the decoration and everything else in the building. Breakfast: Guest has to go to the original Baan Dinso which is only 5 mins walk. They offer Thai and Western style. It was good. Too many good things I like about this place......and you can see it for yourself. ...or see my pics from my cell phone :)
"Great value for money"

Booked a single room (with shared bathroom) during Songkran through Agoda. For the cheap price, it provides great value for money. The room was just the right size for one person, but it's clean and even has a TV. Wifi in the room was also very fast. I did not mind the shared bathroom set-up because the showers/toilets are nice and clean too. Staff was very patient with my questions and even provided a map. I also had some good meals at their restaurant. Nice breakfast in their sister hotel too. The road in front (with the Democracy Monument) could just get quite noisy sometimes (but hey it's BKK haha). Location wise, it's relatively close to the major temples/Grand Palace and very near Khao San Road. Note that the area is not near any train stations though (Hualamphong is about a 50-60THB metered taxi ride away). Overall, a great stay!

my friend and I stayed there for our first 3 nights in Bankgok ever! Nice hotel, situated perfectly, nice staff! everything is clean and the breakfast is good! We arrived when the demonstrations began and the staff put us in their sister hostel just arround the corner, since our room was directly facing the democratic monument where the demonstration were. so that was really nice and we got some good night sleep =)
cheap compared to other hotels, very well located, and the staff very nice and helpful! :) you can go everywhere by walking (old city and Khao San Road), there are two Bann Donsio hotel one is the newest and its located just on the main road, and the other one it is just one block from the new one..I have stayed in both, the older is more quiet and has a very nice old style decoration.
"Perfect for Solo Traveller"
02/23/14 Brad M
Perfect little place to stay if you want to be away from Khao San Road but within walking distance. Central to most temples, the river and close to Siam - MBK etc. Room was great, enough room for belongings, air conditioning which was much needed and dont be put off my the shared bathroom, its so quiet that it feels like its your own anyway and you never have to wait for anybody else. Breakfast was brilliant, 3 choices to satisfy everybody and the staff were really helpful in any respect.

I had booked at the hotel starting for three nights (last night). This was the night of the large rally which was RIGHT in front of the hotel. There was a risk of violence and the rally/demonstration was VERY loud. I was told by a local shopkeeper that there was a real risk for violence...(the opposing group was coming in that night) . He highly suggested I get as far away as possible. Well......... With the risk of violence and the VERY loud speakers... And thousands of people....... The hotel is not willing to give me a credit. I will have to dispute this through my credit card. NOTTTTTTTTTT impressed!!!!! In addition, one of the people talked about the internet being down in October. It still is!
"Temporary issues week of Oct 29!"
10/31/13 Intransit84 Brisbane, Australia
There is currently no wifi in the rooms (or reception which makes things challenging for staff. Common room has wifi). Staff said it is being fixed. The street is really noisy as its directly on a busy roundabout (traffic not partygoers)... However right now (Oct 30th evening) the front pavement is being jackhammered up. There is no part of the hostel that could avoid this really loud noise. If you're looking at checking in now I would avoid it and perhaps stay at the other Baan Dinso? That said, I have a single private room and it is comfortable and clean, air conditioner is extremely effective and I have a flat screen TV. Staff are very friendly (language barrier is a big challenge but I expect that when I don't speak the local language) and breakfast is great. If I had been told about temporary issues of noise and wifi connectivity I would not have booked here.
"Good access to Khao San, very nice staff and secure building"
10/14/13 Aaron A Seattle, Washington
For those who are traveling through and want to get the Khao San Road experience, Baan Dinso 2 is a good, safe place to call home for a couple nights. I stayed here both at the beginning and end of my trip as it was a nice way to slowly ease into being in Thailand. It's a very, very touristy area so don't think you'll see the real culture of Bangkok but alas, it is a spectacle for travelers when coming through SE Asia. The hotel itself is comfortable and very clean, the breakfast is nice, and I feel secure about keeping my bags there. A bit pricier than the surrounding hotels / hostels but it's a good spot and you'll be safe.
