"Excellent service, convenient location"
This hotel is centrally located in Goreme, very close to main street with many restaurants & shops and walking distance from Open Air museum. This is a privately owned small hotel but owner is excellent and believes in giving personalized service. The owner and staff is dependable and follows up on their commitments (including refunds for canceled air […] balloon ride without any fuss). The rooms may not have all the comforts that bigger hotels have, such as no refrigerator or A/C (though you don't need it even in August heat as nights are comfortably cold) but it's large & clean. The beds are BIG. and bathroom is specious. Good breakfast. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Wonderful new hotel in an amazing place...."
Cappadocia is a must-see if traveling through Turkey, and our stay in the Ottoman Cave Suites was just as wonderful as the sites of this area. The hotel is less than a year old, and very romantic -- carved into rock on the side of a hill. The managers are extremely accommodating - we had a late flight out, and they let us stay in another room until […] it was our time to depart. Take a room with a wooden ceiling to avoid any dampness. Wonderful place! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Near Bus Station, friendly staff, good environment"
It was great experience, the reception were very friendly , they heard my concerns about privacy with great respect and eliminated all my concerns, they helped me allot planning for each day at my visits...one thing i hope they develop is the privacy of the rooms and making the inside invisible from outside at all so all the customer will be satisf […] ied Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Best hotel in Turkey! Superb room decor and setting within the caves. Very good views of Goreme from the hotel roof and excellent service. Breakfast room is a touch basic but plenty on offer. Stayed an extra night because it was so good!

Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

The manager of this hotel and the rest of the staff went out of their wayto be helpful and were extremely helpful. The cave room was AMAZING! The bedroom and bathroom were both huge and the bed was very comfortable. The views from the huge rooftop terrace were spectacular morning and night. The outdoor areas were lovely and I was sorry we couldn't stay longer. Will happily stay here again if we ever go back to Goreme.
"I can't fault this hotel"

We came without a booking and were told they only had availability for two nights, which luckily became three. We LOVED this hotel. We were in room 303 which is huge and had large windows facing opposite directions, so we had a great view of the area, including the hot air balloons in the early morning. There are many terraces with tables and chairs to sit and enjoy the views. Breakfast was great, as was service. I had my birthday when we were staying there and the manager (owner?) send me a cake. The only way the experience could have been improved is if they have had a room available for the rest of our stay. They didn't and we had to move. But if I visit again I will definitely book and stay there.
"Good hotel great location "
Firstly, I would definitely recommend staying in goreme over urgup. To be fair, we didn't visit the latter extensively, but from what we saw it was a more or less ordinary city compared to goreme which is right amidst the incredible fairy chimney formations. We were also able to walk to the open air museum and were just minutes from delicious restaurants, the small downtown and shisha bars We had a suite cave room (203) at the ottoman which was huge, with a huge bathroom and very clean. It was a lovely room and definitely a unique experience to be in a "cave" room. The bed is definitely VERY firm but I've read several reviews for other hotels in the area with the same comments. It ended being a lot less uncomfortable than we originally thought. The room was also a bit warm but not uncomfortable and without even asking they had brought us a fan The breakfast was great, lots if local options. The tables got a little dirty with crumbs and could've been cleaned a bit more often but overall a nice breakfast Cengiz is the main front desk person (owner?) and was extremely responsive to our email inquiries and helped us book all of our trips and transfers. The other front desk guys were nice but much less knowledgable so would recommend primarily dealing with cengiz They also have a lovely terrace where we enjoyed some local wine we bought during our tour Overall a really good experience and would stay again
"Good value for money stay."

It's very good for the price. Bathroom are spacious. Only drawback they don't change the bedsheets very day. When they come to clean your room they only remake your beds with the same bedsheet. Otherwise everything very good. Manager is very friendly and helpful in organising all our sightseeing tours in cappadocia. Even the location of the hotel very good, walking distance you will find Turkish hamam bath and lots of small cafés and grocery store.

Pros: Good breakfast, Great location. The hotel is also very quiet and good for sleeping. The Internet signal is very good, they have a router in each room. Cons: Shower was broken (the water was leaking from the tube) and even though I asked two times for a replacement, nothing was done, so we had to take shower like in a waterfall. Also, I booked our shuttle to the airport with the hotel, but since I got no confirmation on the night before I asked if everything was ok and the reception could not confirm (no internet at the moment). At 5:30 am in the morning I went to the reception again and asked for a confirmation (my flight was at 8am), they couldn't confirm again (nothing on their files and tried to call the shuttle only once). Well, my confirmation was only when the van arrived the hotel, meaning if that was not ok I would have to run fast after a taxi. Rooms are really warm and there is no air conditioning. There is a fridge in each room but nothing inside, so if you arrive later at night there is nothing to eat (actually only thing inside was an used bottle of water). Glasses for drinking water were dirty when we arrived. Some employees have difficulties on speaking English. Summary: it is a great location hotel, the junior suite is quite big. The staff is just normal, not bad but no great willingness to help. Internet is good and free. If I get back I would probably look for another hotel. But if I found none I would possibly get back to this.
Interesting and comfortable hotel. Very relaxing night... Too warm, no air conditioning, but using the windows it's better. Hospitality and friendly reception guys! Well positioned in the city Old Town. Thanks to the help of the travel agency, Vertek (to)
"Georgeous view, great staff"

A lovely hotel with some character. I could not fault the service of the staff, they were very friendly and allowed us to stay within the hotel grounds several hours after our checkout. Breakfast was nice, the omelet were the best we have had! The view from the roof top was gorgeous. Room was nice except there was not soap or any amenities. Wifi was excellent outside but did not work in the room we stayed in.

We booked a tour with a travel agent and we were give the Ottoman Cave Suities. The hotel owner was very welcoming and friendly. The room was a stone cave with a large bathroom and king size bed, which was good after arriving from Istanbul on a 11 hour overnight bus. They even let us use their shower facilities after we had check out, so that we could be fresh for our other overnight bus to Olympus! Overall I would recommend this hotel for its accommodation and friendly staff member.

I absolutely loved our stay here. The rooms are luxurious, quirky and reasonably priced. The owner / manager is also the funniest guy. Within minutes of meeting this guy I knew we wouldn't have a trouble in the world. Look no further, you've found your accommodation in Goreme.
"Clean, friendly, great breakfast"

We stayed 3 nights at the Ottoman Cave because the hotel that we had originally booked fell through. The manager at the Ottoman generously gave us a room last minute for a great price! He was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms are a bit dark for reading, but we managed just fine. I can't believe other reviewers are complaining about the breakfast!! It is an amazing spread! We had to experiment and try all of the different Turkish things, but that's one of the reasons we came to Turkey; to try new things. I guess if you're expecting an egg mcmuffin you'll be disappointed. Thank you to the Ottoman for an amazing experience!
