"Okay for low expectations."
We needed a place to crash for the weekend, there wouldn't be much time spent. The tatami mats in our room were old and damaged, and the walls were a little stained. But otherwise it was a clean hotel. HaruHotel was cheap, and it was mostly used for napping and a bag drop. It worked for us, but i wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a "comfortable" […] hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"It's a place to stay."
Hotels in Tokyo aren't cheap, so if you're looking for just a place to crash for the night without spending a whole lot, maybe the Haru is the place for you. Other than that, it's a bit dirty, the sheets and futons looked and smelled like they hadn't been washed, and the floors didn't appear to be well cleaned either. There were two air conditioners, […] neither of which worked very well (August in Japan can be brutally hot and humid). What I did like was the kitchen in the basement with dishes, cold/hot water dispenser, etc. as well as an internet computer if you need that. It was also nice and cool down there. The Japanese fellow working at the front desk was pretty cool; friendly and helpful, but be forewarned that hardly anybody there speaks much English. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"good location but poor quality"
I reserved the hotel because it was close to a JR station in Shinjuku and accepting a four-people family into a room. As soon as I arrived at the hotel, I realized that the nice pictures of the hotel on webpages were all misleading and that there are reasons for the lack of information on the hotel features. My room was very small, and the bathroom […] was shaky. The tatami was shedding, and blankets and pillows didn't look clean. Some of unexpected findings: bathroom towels are charged separately; a washing machine is charged (wet laundries are dried on strings at the back yard); baggage service is charged but bags are located in the aisle without any securing device. Almost everything was surprising and disappointing. Two good things: free wifi and nice staffs at the front. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This place is so handy to everywhere. If it had beds, it would be perfect! Very small rooms but sleeping on the floor on a thin fold-up mattress is not so comfy. The front desk guy was always really helpful and the free laundry and clothesline was a bonus.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Genuine Expedia guest review

Fina rum med bambumattor. Visst budget och inte de lyxigaste men mycket för pengarna.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

OK hotel conveniently located between shin-Okubo and Okubo stations. Perhaps more of a hostel feeling than a hotel, but we spent four nights there as a family of four and everything was fine.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Too expensive for its worth"

Booked bit expensive for its price a family room ; room are small with small bath n toilet; need retouch, but near Shinjuku station. This is located in a Korean town of Tokyo...near restos and attractions, but will find a better place to stay instead.
