Southern Palms Beach Club - Christ Church

At first site, we were disappointed in the decor of the hotel and the room. The rooms need updating. However, the view and proximity to the ocean were amazing. The staff that work at the Lanterns restaurant were a bit cold shoulderish, but most of the hotel staff were very nice. The beach access was great and the water was perfect. The beach is public so we did run into many locals trying to sell services and goods, including drugs.

The pros of this hotel are the amenities such as beautiful pool and beach. The staff was very helpful and gracious. Our room was very comfortable with a gorgeous view of the ocean. Lunch was delicious. The cons are the breakfast was expensive if you are not a big breakfast person. $21 US for coffee, yogurt and some fresh fruit. Also, you need to get down to the pool early if you want to get a chair. Some chairs had towels on them all day but, no one ever came to sit on them. That was somewhat rude. Other than that, a nice hotel. I have stayed at The Crane in the past and this was just as lovely.

This was a great place for us to stay. The room was large enough because it included a bedroom and a living area. It also provided a small kitchen, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker. The beach was beautiful and the pool clean. We had a car to get around the island and spent alot of our time seeing the sites and visiting different restaurants. This hotel was perfect for us because it provided us with a nice place to stay without having to pay for alot of other amenities.

Much better than expected

The hotel is on a beautiful stretch of beach lined with beautiful Hotels and homes. Close to the local bus stop that can take you to nearby towns and shopping. Loved all the all water activities.There was a mix up with our room, however, management upgraded us and we appreciated the front desk staff for being helpful. Would return to this hotel again.
