Excellent location walking distance to the National Mall and all monuments. Very comfortable and quiet hotel. Felt safe walking back from Lincoln Memorial at 1:00am in the middle of the night. Starbucks inside and one around the corner and Subway food next door. Metro about 7 blocks and 24 hr CVS store a block away.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Everyone was extremely nice and very helpful room was very clean everything seemed brand newGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"CLOSE TO THE MALL AND RESTAURANTS AND THE METRO"
VERY NICE, CLEAN AND GREAT LOCATION...THE ONLY BAD THING WAS THE SHOWER DID NOT DRAIN SO WHEN YOU SHOWERED YOU STOOD IN DIRTY WATER. I SHOULD HAVE CALLED BUT I DIDN'T BOTHER. OTHER THAN THAT I WOULD DEFINATELY STAY THERE AGAIN.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Overall great time"
The hotel was great and the location was perfect! The only downside was the neighbor to our room. We tried to address the issue with the front desk staff but it was not received well.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The ice machine was broken on my floor, causing me to have to go to the next floor for ice. Two of the four days I was there, one of the elevators wasn't working at all and the other one was stopping at random floors for no reason.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice, recently renovated room. Only complaint was that they didn't clean my room during the day (I only stayed one night). I did keep the privacy sign on the door until 10:30ish, but that should have left plenty of time for them to make the room up. Still, good experience overall.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"short business stay"
Hotel room was great - comfy, classy, and clean. Was nice to have a Starbucks right in the hotel too. Close to highway.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel was physically appealing. I reserved rooms there so if we got tired sightseeing we could easily return to the hotel, rest a bit and then continue with an active day. But when discovered there was no complimentary coffee in the room or the lobby, that was a big disappointment. On top of that the daily charge for parking was Just an unnecessary […] expense. So next time we visit,we will stay in a hotel outside of the city that is close to public transportation and save on the inflated cost of a hotel that does not offer coffee or parking for the elevated room fee. On the plus side, it was clean, the times for pool/hot tub access was generous, the staff was friendly and the neighborhood was exciting. But the room fees were family friendly, especially if you needed more than one room to accommodate your family. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good but not worth that price"
Courtyard hotel is good for a 100/day rate, but not worth for 200/day rate. I booked the room at a rate of 100/day for five days but I prolonged my travel for 13 days, they charged me 200/day for the same room, which made me kind of angry. Moreover, I received creepy calls in my room, through the hotel phone line. Some odd man claimed he is the manager […] of the hotel and he needs my info because the computer system was crashed down. I didn't believe him and I found that's a swindle. I reported this to the receptionist but they did no help at all. Then I discovered that I am not the only one received this call. I think I would not choose Courtyard hotel again. $200/day can buy a much better service and room condition. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice and well located"
Staff is great. Delivered our luggage directly from the airport and they brought it to our room. 15 minutes walk from the presidential park and all the memorials. The only issue is the noise insulation. We could hear our neighbours talk.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Convenient & Great Deal"
We had to take our Australian cousin around to site see and the hotel was perfect. Leave your car at the hotel and pay the daily fee. Then walk over to any of the main attractions such as the white house, Washington Monument, etc. You can find tours at any of these locations such as a hop on hop off bus tour. Although we went on a freezing weekend, […] this hotel was definitely a great find and would love to stay there in the summer to do some museum tours. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN! Perfect for walking to The National Mall and The White House.Genuine Expedia guest review
I don't usually rave about things on the internet but this hotel definitely exceeded my expectations - it's quite new so in great condition, very comfortable, in a very good location for sightseeing about 10 mins walk from the White House (however it's also 10 mins from the nearest subway so if that's an issue for you bear this in mind..), the staff […] were really friendly and helpful and it was good value. Lovely hotel, amazing location. Walking distance to White House, monuments, museums. Only downside is valet parking only. We made the mistakeGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We enjoyed our weekend in DC. The hotel was very nice overall. There were two issues for us. When we first arrived, the staff person behind the counter was involved in a personal call on her cell phone which she continued for a few minutes. Great hotel. Service was very friendly. Only bad thing i could say is that microwaves were not available in the rooms.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"It was a convenient location for us."
The washclothes should definitely be thicker. The towels were OK. Heat regulation was a challenge.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel, good price, close to white house."
Literally like 2 blocks from the White House. Great price, Short walk/ cab rides to where you want to go. Clean, friendly, If you drive they do charge for valet parking after one night cost 25$ I'm sure you can find cheaper parking but it may be further away from the hotel. So plan on that if you do drive there.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel near National Mall"
My family traveled to DC for a short trip and were very happy with this hotel choice. All employees were very pleasant and helpful. We ate breakfast in their restaurant both mornings and were pleased with the options and the food. We had requested a 2 queen room, but were told upon check-in that only a king with a sofa bed was available. It worked out […] okay for us - my 10 year old slept on the pull-out and my 8 year old slept in king with us. The hotel was located within walking distance of the National Mall and White House. Very good place. Staff gave me 3 hours early check in, and 2 hours late check out. 7-11, Subway, CVS, and Starbucks are walking distance. The only thing is that the hotel has bad phone signal.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel is only 6 months old so everything is clean and well laid out. Our party had two rooms a double queen and a king. The view from the king was of an area well between buildings, but still a great layout and comfortable beds. We could walk to the mall, Lincoln Memorial and White House during the day, and then walk to DuPont Circle and Georgetown […] at night. There are few options right near the hotel for dining out, but there is a deli in the building, and the hotel does a nice job with the bar / lounge area. Very easy access to and from DCA Reagan Airport. The GW University campus is all around you, and a safe and quiet place at night. This was a great choice for DC Sight seeing. I'm not one to dwell on bad experiences but this hotel did not have caffeinated coffee for 2 days. The front desk person told me that no one has the keys to get the coffee from housing. ~~ Overall, the hotel was very nice, the rooms were updated and very clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was great. The staff helpful and very friendly. My only complaint would be that for the price it would have been nice if there had been a hot tub or complimentary breakfast. :-)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Had a good visit. Clean room (I checked) and friendly staff. The location was fantastic and conveniently adjacent to Starbucks. All in all a very reasonably priced room with great amenities. We will return again. A+Genuine Expedia guest review
No cell service in room and call to my home 100 miles away cost $40.06 for 5 minutes.Genuine Expedia guest review
perfect location for GWUGenuine Hotels.com guest review
It was a very convenient location for us, having a student at GWU. It was easy to get to the hotel, a little confusing with parking at check-in; valet only. There was a convenience store, a Subway Rest., and a Starbucks close by, in addition to the hotels' restaurant. I look forward to visiting campus often, and will stay again at this Courtyard Washington. […] Price was fair, rooms were clean, beds were comfy, and the staff was accommodating. "Great place....Great location"
It was wonderful! The hotel is beautifully renovated and so comfortable. The staff was incredibly nice, responsive and very helpful. A walk away from all the monuments, great restaurants and a short trip from the Smithsonian.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice, comfortable room"
Good experience staying here. The only thing that was a negative was that both my at&t and my T-Mobile cell phones did not have reception.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Short walk to White House"
Over all we enjoyed our stay. The hotel was nice and the staff was responsive. Rooms were smallish but clean and orderly...not alot of food options in immediate area but "enough". Further than you think to walk to the capital...especially on a hot day!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel was clean and comfortable. We loved that it has a capital bikeshare dock just outside the hotel as that is how we got around the city! When we booked we were under the impression that there was a hot tub and sauna, but could never find them when we went looking. The pool is also very small and in the basement of the building.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
if you have a car while in DC then you should know that the hotel has a Valet-Only parking, that will cost you (fee+tips) and was not mentioned anywhere either in hotels.com or the hotel site. it does add 15-20% to your stay.Otherwise the hotel was in a great location has a bike share parking right across the street and was overall a very good expe […] rience. "Decent hotel, short on amenities."
This is a nice hotel near GWU. It is quite a distance to Metro stations and can be challenging to find cabs. The rooms are nice but there is no room service and only free-weights and aerobic machines in the gym.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to the World Bank"
I traveled to DC for work at the World Bank. This hotel is only 3 blocks away. It was wonderfully convenient. The White House is also in the vicinity, so it is close to many must-see sights in DC.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"no cell service...you got to be kidding"
Open for over 4 months and your cell will not work inside the hotel. Not in your room and not even in the lobby. After we checked in the front desk guy told us. If I had known that I would have chose another hotel. They know that, that's why your told not to call the front desk because it's not your phone it's the "cement in the hotel" what a joke.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very nice staff, quiet and clean room within walking distance to many sights and tour bus pick up. nice coffee area for that morning cup.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"New and Clean"
New and very clean hotel. The front desk staff could not have been nicer. The hotel is on the expensive side. I tried to book it again for Columbus Day weekend and the price was $349 for a 3 star hotel. Too bad because it right in the heart of GWU and is very convenient for parents of students.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Almost perfect hotel - but no view"
We stayed 2 nights at this hotel for the Cherry Blossom festival & 10 mile run. We loved the hotel. Complimentary wireless was excellent. The linens and room furnishing were modern and spectacular. The hotel has a nice pool in the basement area and fitness center. The only drawbacks is the lack of a continental breakfast and no view on either side of […] the hotel. Otherwise, excellent location, great room, but a bit pricey. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, but I wouldn't check in hungry."
This hotel does not offer complementary breakfast, which is okay. However, the breakfast platters that we ordered we waited 45 minutes for and the food still wasn't ready. Another guest waiting longer than us received his order incorrectly, twice. Fortunately, we were able to receive a cash refund, a process which took another 15 minutes because the […] staff member did not know how to work the register, but we went hungry. I just wish the hotel had considered a breakfast buffet, continental breakfast, or better staff training. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Foggy Bottom area is quiet after hours"
Great little hotel. Not much in the line of food places for dinner after hours other than the hotel unless you walk a few blocks closer to the Foggy Bottom Metro station. Here you'll also find a supermarket (Whole Foods) which had all I required. Breakfast and Lunch has plenty of options nearby. Subway and Starbucks next door (could someone tell Starbucks […] to actually try coffee in Italy or even in Australia to see what coffee SHOULD taste like? A white coffee in Australia is NOT a Latte which is made totally with milk - it's also very expensive). The area is only 3 blocks from the National Mall - so an easy walk down to that. Very quiet area after hours - despite being near George Washington University - not a peep! Felt safe enough walking about the area after hours. Would stay here at this hotel again. "Marriott Courtyard was perfect."
Knowledgeable and helpful staff with a smile on their face. Clean, quiet room and the hotel is walking distance to a few decent restaurants and to the Capitol and the White House. I will use them when I am in D.C.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"What Happened to Marriot?"
Stiflingly hot in the corridor near the elevator for the entire 3 days. Poor cell phone reception in the room. However, a great location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
