We found this hotel more than we expected. The staff looked after us as best they could given the facilities of the hotel. We were very pleased with them and would return. There were some deficiencies but we were willing to overlook those because of the price of the hotel and its convenient location. However, the staff were so welcoming that the deficiencies were less noticeable.

wifi was free and fast. bathroom was large enough for me. breakfast was worth the extra charge. free IHT newspaper. close to train station. staff was friendly and for most part fluent enough in english to make my life easier.

This is a nice hotel with a great restaurant. Unfortunately the elevator was broken and the decor was not exactly that of a 1000 year old Chateau, but we will definitely return.

Apart hotel is in a great position to visit Narbonne. The staff are extremely helpful. The rooms, all brand new, are excellent. The only problem is as they are so new, there are lots of teething troubles i.e. lack of hot water, leaking wash basin, shower door not fixed, air con not working properly. Rien à redire sur cet hôtel de très bonne facture. La propreté est irréprochable. Seul point négatif la personne à l'accueil qui n'est pas très souriante... Les chambres sont très bien aménagées et l'hôtel est parfaitement situé proche de la gare, des halles et du centre historique.

The first challenge was to find the place, since there is no sign outside to say it was a hotel (just a tiny plaque which we walked past four times, and had no hope of seeing from the road). Reception staff barely even looked us at check in (by contract, the same chain in Pau have extremely friendly and helpful staff). The lift was not working (not […] good if you are going to the top floor with luggage). It was not fixed during the whole weekend. Four of the lights in our room were not working, suggesting they had not bothered to inspect the room for some time. Showering in the dark is not so easy... The dishwasher was also not working. There was no reception service for 2.5 days of our stay! That meant nobody to sort our issues. The room was clean, but I really had the feeling that this was just a money making machine and they did not care about the upkeep of the room or the service to guests. Read more

Il faut déjà attendre un quatrième interlocuteur pour rectifier un mauvais enregistrement de la date de réservation : le forfait du téléphone portable tourne ! Puis nous essuyons les plâtres, car la construction de l'immeuble est tout juste achevée : pas reconnu par le GPS, ni connu des habitants ! La pauvre réceptionniste pleine de bonne volonté est […] visiblement débordée, surtout qu'on ouvre juste pour les fêtes de fin d'année... Pas de cintres dans la penderie, à la 2ème demande on vient nous les installer in extrémis avant la fermeture des services (15h-19h), pas de poubelle, manque une ampoule. Pour exemple: - pas de bippeur électronique pour ouvrir/fermer le parking privatif, qui restait donc ouvert et non sécurisé toute la nuit - pas de cintres dans la penderie ("On n'a pas été livrés...") - pas […] de conteneurs poubelle pour l’hôtel ("Ils doivent arriver prochainement...") - obligé d'avoir une connexion internet filaire dans les étages - pas de présence permanente à l'accueil: alors comment fait-on en cas de problème domestique, la nuit ou entre 12h et 14h ? - les portes de la penderies s'étant coincé en début de séjour, impossible de récupérer nos vêtements: comme il n'était pas question de trouver un réparateur qui accepte d'intervenir un 31 décembre, j'ai du démonter les portes moi-même car le personnel local n'a pas le droit d'intervenir sur le mobilier.
