We wanted to stay in Wexford and be able to be in the town, within walking distance of the sites, shops and pubs. We read the reviews and thought that we would give "Staying in Wexford" a try. We loved it ! Brian, the owner, has done a great job with this guest house. He works hard to keep this place spotless and in top condition. The home was updated and fresh and incredibly clean. This is is a private traditional Irish home where you are renting a room and also have use of the common areas, such as kitchen, living room, and garden. There is a very clean shared bathroom with a shower and a tub. There is also additional toilet on the first floor. Don't hesitate. This is an excellent value. Give it a try. You will love it.

The Strand is in the lower village of Dunmore East. Out of 4 days there, I swam in the guarded cove on 3 days. Used a wetsuit but there is no need. One length of the cove is approx. .15km so plenty of distance even if you are training. Up the hill toward Passage East gets you a great, scenic 10k run. The terrace is amazing. The pub is nice and the restaurant food was fine. A short walk to the upper village and you have 5 more pubs and a cafe, a restaurant and three grocers. I highly recommend it. Don't expect the Four Seasons but the room was clean, bright, amazing view, great shower. Really you could not ask for more.

This hotel was clean and affordable. It was a good choice if you don't mind walking. When we arrived, we didn't want to drive anymore so it was quite a long walk to the part of town which had the pubs and the attractions. Otherwise, a good choice!

3 adults stayed comfortably in fully-equipped reasonably-priced self-catering 2-bed apt. with lidl/superquinn/takeaway beside complex. Quiet central location about 20 mins walk from promenade in city. Tramore/Dunmore East/Passage East all within easy reach by car. Staff friendly and professional. Recommended

Only booked this hotel cos we were going to a Wedding just after Christmas and the Reception was being held here. Also the families and lots of other... guests booked in. Definitely not disappointed. Reception area was just Delightful, welcoming, cosy & warm with a hugh fire in the open grate, decorated with lit Christmas trees and lots of large and very unusual and pretty Christmas decorations everywhere. A real treat to behold and so comfy sitting by the fire. Bedroom & Bathroom were very spacious warm and comfy. Buffet breakfast till 10.30 most welcome after long nights of celebrating and great variety of hot and cold foods to choose from. This hotel is initially rather hard to find as Barntown isn't on the map, but knowing it was off the New Ross Road and its general vacinity we found it no problem.
