"Once was enough"
Made the reservation for 2 twin beds months in advance. Upon arrival only room available was with one double bed. Ended up on a cot which was very uncomfortable. One elevator out of order long time to get up and down from 7th floor. No place to park. Parking on the street only which was very very limited. No phone in room to contact front desk. "Great for my needs"
Great location. Easy access from airport. Haymarket train station right across the street. Easy access to shopping, food and public transportation. Hotel staff was friendly & helpful. Room was small in size but adequate for my needs. Wifi worked great! Would definitely book here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Affordable place to stay in a great location"
The hotel was clean, service good, location great for walking to a bunch of sites in the area! We took the tram there from the airport and it's right across from the Haymarket tram stop, which was super convenient. The room was very small but comfortable enough for a few days :)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Avoid the Tune Hotel at all costs"
Tune Hotel suffers from a complete lack of customer service. They also attempt to rip off the hotel guest in any way they can think of and their imagination is quite extensive. This operation must have been designed by individuals serving time in prison. Be very careful or the quoted cost of your room could easily double with extra fees on everything […] imaginable. Don't expect the hotel staff to help you with anything, especially if you have just flown overnight from the United States and are jet lagged. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Really noisy on the main road outside haymarketGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Good location - super convenient to tram and bus lines. directly accross from Haymarket train station. Clean room, bare minimum amenities. Don't understand why this hotel would charge me 5 pounds to check in 50 minutes before 3:00pm. The room was ready, so why charge for the availablility?? i give it a 3 star ratingGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great place to stay will stay here again"
I love staying in Tune hotels as they are cheap, close to most attractions/transportation, grocery, and places to eat. The rooms are small but are very comfortable and exactly what we needed since we're barely in the room anyway. They could use a bit more hooks for clothes and maybe a water boiler? so we could make coffee and tea. Great place to st […] ay! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Great location. Easy check in. Contacted the manager as our air unit did not work. We were told that it doesn't work the way you are used to and we needed to wait awhile. Again contacted management as the air unit still was not working. He came to the room. Told us all units were just serviced. After awhile he recognized the unit was not blowing air […] which we had been telling him for awhile. He then moved us to another room and helped us move our items As well. It was awkward because upon our first dealing with him he was clearly frustrated that he had to deal with the Americans. Beyond all of that the room was great. Cutely decorated and painted. Very clean. Shower soap and shampoo provided. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect Hotel for Budget/Independent Travelers"
Surpassed my expectations for size of room and large window view. Very clean and comfortable. Public transport of all types right outside the door. Glad we chose this hotel and location.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Convenient to Bus & Train"
I was very comfortable at your hotel. Although the room was a bit small for being considered a room for two. I was glad I was staying there by myself because there was no room for hanging/storing clothes. I was surprised that there was no dresser draws available and that there was only five hangers on a small bar to hang clothes. I thought the room […] was adequate for one person but still needed additional storage for clothes. The room was clean and I felt safe, which is a plus because I am female and was staying by myself in your hotel. I was very appreciative of having a safe and a hair drying provided in my room and the availability of an ironing room, which I used on two occasions. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Easy livin in Edinburgh"
A nice, clean, chain hotel on the western side of Edinburgh - maybe a 20 minute walk (10 minute bus ride) from the main areas of Edinburgh. 1) Extremely clean. 2) Very professional staff and service. 3) Location was great. Some detail, the room was a touch small, but it was still great. Price was great, but they do charge for the small things (extra […] towels, chargers, etc). However, overall, I'd stay here again because it was the best value for a nice place to stay while traveling. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very small rooms"
This was a very nice hotel with a lot of charm and it was very clean. The room was so small, I wouldn't want to stay for more than one night but if one night is all you need, it was great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great budget option"
With small rooms, an even smaller shower, and a fairly mediocre bed, the Tune Haymarket is far from luxury. It is, however, a great deal with a decent location and a great price. My girlfriend and I stayed two nights, and we absolutely loved both Edinburgh and the hotel. The hotel is across the street from a train station which means there's a taxi […] rank about 20 feet from the hotel's front door, and there are bus stops spattered all around within easy 2 minute or less walking distance. We worried there would be a problem with noise from the trains, but we never had a single issue as long as the window was closed. The lobby was clean and bright with a modern décor. The front desk is 24/7, and every time we dealt with them, they were courteous and helpful. Our room was on the floor 6 with a double-sized bed. It was spotlessly clean, and though it was on the small side (imagine a double bed with about a 2 foot gap on three sides), we found it quite suitable for winding down for an hour or two a night and sleeping. The bathroom was likewise very clean, but it was also just as compact. It was never an issue for us, but if you're very large, I could see the shower being an annoyance. Likewise, if you're very tall, I would guess you would have to sit on the toilet at quite an odd angle to have your knees not jammed against the wall. All in all, we found it safe, clean, and convenient, and we plan to stay there again if we go back to Edinburgh. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Right near the Haymarket station, the hotel is easy to find and a short walk to shopping and restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable. It was a little strange to have to pay for extras like towel rental and tv rental, though.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Enjoy the Tune"
The staff were very helpful with tips for restaurants and answering questions and providing ideas of places to see. The rooms were small but comfortable and very clean. It also had a great location. Very close to bus and trains.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very clean and comfortable"
I felt like it was clean, comfortable and a great location. It doesn't have a phone to call down to the desk, so i did have to go down a few times, but that would be my only complaint. The front desk workers were very nice and helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Handy, but very small rooms"
The desk staff were very helpful and nice. We were shocked at how small the room was. My bathroom at home is this big and I know people with bigger closets. We were there two nights, but no clean towels. No parking. Internet was good. Right across tbe street from Haymarket train station.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Worst night ever"
No parking!!! One way streets so you can't get to hotel by car! Room was the size of a walk in closet. Husband bumped into tv trying to get in and out of bed. A/c would not cool room below 76. No windows. Absolute worst night ever:(Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Small but nice."
This hotel is across from the train station, so location is perfect. A very clean hotel with friendly and helpful staff. No breakfast, but several pubs and coffee shops near. There is an elevator. The room is very small, but manageable. Very clean too!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good for our quick"
We stayed one night before catching a bus to the airport. Hotel is located by great transit, but is a little hike to the attractions. Clean and modern, although it looked like they May nickel and dime things not included with the reservation (towels, tv, wifi, etc).Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Simple room for cheap"
Simple hotel room with private bath. Not much room for luggage in the room, but spent most of our time out on the town so it wasn't a problem. Across the street from the Haymarket station made for easy journeys to/from the city & airport. There was a count laundry just south of Haymarket which was a perk. Hotel walls to the corridor would let a lot […] of noise in. We heard several doors open/close throughout the night. Bed was hard. It met my expectations given the price. "Great location and good deal on Expedia!"
The hotel is central and although the rooms are a bit spartan, it was clean and provided all of the necessities. The deal we had from Expedia included bathroom items, TV, and Internet. "close to train station"
Working in the travel industry for 25 years, I look at things from two sides. The Tune Hotel in Edinburgh was an excellent selection for my recent visit. Although it a bit away from the city center (10 minutes walk or 5 minute by bus), it was the perfect location for me. I was arriving on the train from London and the station was directly across from […] the hotel, which made it easy to move my bags. The hotel was clean and new. Their concept is you only pay for the services you use so I arrived 2 hours early and did have to pay to store my luggage, but only 2 pounds per bag per day. In comparison to the rates at other hotels in Edinburgh, this was still a great deal. I was also travelling on a tour following my stay at the Tune Hotel that limited bags and I needed a place to store them. Tune Hotel kindly offered to store my luggage at this same rate for the three days of my tour, which was less than the train station or aiport and it made everything very convenient. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful with directions and information. Although they do not have an on-site restaurant, they do have a new pub directly next door with a private entrance into the pub, making it convenient to get a economical breakfast as early as 7:00am. I would highly recommend this hotel but please realize that sometimes it comes with extra fees for TV, Wi-Fi and towels. Hotels.com had a package deal that I received including TV, Wi-Fi, towels and hairdryer so this stay worked well for us. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"An inexpensive accommodation option in Edinburgh"
The hotel is a great value if you don't mind a very small room size. The hotel is located across the Haymarket train station and can also be easily reached from the airport. Take the Airllink Bus #100, which stops right in front of the hotel. The hotel is within a 10 minute walk to the Edinburgh castle and many other major attractions. The neighborhood […] seemed to be very safe and had many places to grab some food. Lastly, the stuff at the reception desk has been exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful with directions and recommendations for places to visit. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"A major addition to the Haymarket neighborhood"
Unbelievably conveniently located directly across the entrance to Haymarket Station. Larger rooms than the Tune I stayed at in Westminster last year and everything still seems brand new throughout the facility.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Book early but don't try to check in early"
We stayed at Tune Haymarket twice on both ends of out recent visit to Scotland. Room rates are extremely time sensitive. It is more than a little irritating to see their advert for very low priced rooms while checking in at a rate almost four times that! This is the first time we have EVER had a hotel propose to charge extra for either checking in early […] (before 3 pm) or for storing our bags until the room opened up at a per-bag per-hour rate. We declined both. Want to use the hair dryer? Extra! More than one pillow per guest? We didn't ask. The staff were all very courteous, though and the hotel is quite clean. It is very new. Location tough to beat. Platform 5 pub next door was brand new and very nice. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Perfect for our stay"
The rooms are small, no doubt about it. Very much like cruise ship rooms. But, like on a cruise, we only went to the rooms to sleep, shower and change! There is too much to do in Edinburgh!! The location is convenient to all transportation needs, restaurants, and pubs. Will definitely be back nest time we are in town!Genuine Expedia guest review

"Nice hotel, excellent staff"
The price is right but the rooms are kind of tight. But perfect for us because we didn't spend much time in the room. The front desk staff were wonderful from beginning to end.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Smaller, tighter room than others"
I could not believe how small the room was. There was less than 6 inches between one side of the bed and a column off from the wall. I had to lift my foot off the floor, onto the bed to get through. It was the smallest room of all my travel in London and Edinburgh. And the hotel was more expensive than the B&B we booked for the subsequent nights. Glad […] that Tune was full when I booked or we would have to pay more and suffer for two more night. They also charge for early check-in or storing luggage before/after check-in. "Great Location - unless you have a car"
The staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel was modern and clean. But - the room was tiny, tiny, tiny and the air unit sounded like it was raining and blowing inside our room. Would have been tolerable but it went off and on all night. The hotel has a marvelous location (across from Haymarket Station) so if you take the train in, it is well situated. […] Don't even think about staying here if you have a car. With street closures and one way streets, not even the locals can give good directions to get there and the closest overnight parking is really just an open field in a not so great area. That being said, we left our car there and it wasn't bothered. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel uses modern graphics and paint scheme but rooms are the size of a broom closet! Better description would be glorified hostel. They also nickel and dime you for everything including storage of luggage.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect! And a neat price philosophy!"
I loved this hotel. Staff was helpful, room was clean, location was convenient, and the price was great. What sets this hotel apart is its payment philosophy: you should only have to pay for what you use. So, you only pay for wifi, cable, etc. if you want to use it. This means that if all you need is a bed, then you're room will be cheaper than the […] guy next door who is using wifi and cable. No more having to pay for features you don't care about! "Would Not Stay Here Until Construction is Done"
This was a VERY BIG Disappointment and it would have been nice for the hotel to contact me at some point (I booked the hotel back in April for and Aug. visit) to either give us an address for the parking area since you can't park or drive up to the hotel due to major road construction that has been going on for 7 yrs. We drove around for an hr asking […] locals where the hotel was. Finally we parked and started walking. They gave us a map to where we can park (which we had to pay for). We drove around for another hr and finally parked the car somewhere else. Then we had to walk with suitcases in hand for 8 blocks. There was no air conditioning in the room which was fine except we could open our window because they did construction ALL night long (24hrs). There were no coffee in the room but for 2.5 Pounds they would gladly make you a cup. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Extremely small and charge for EVERYTHING"
There was barely room to walk in the room, and if you used the shelf to put stuff on you couldn't fit around the bed. Extra charges for TV, wi-fi, blowdryer, and any towel other than two bath towels. No parking and the nearest place available is expensive and a few blocks away. Walls were so thin everything could be heard from the bathroom and neighbors. […] Bathroom door is just shy of see-through. It is more like an expensive hostel than a nice hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful enough, and the room was very clean. If all you want is a few hours sleep before catching a plane, it works great. Other than that, I would not suggest this hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"mixed opinion: convenient but not very comfortabl"
It served the purpose of being close to train station and walkable to center of town. The room is teeny, efficiently designed cute, but very unspacious. In addition, everything cost extra: cleaning the room, internet in the room, hair dryer, etc. cost extra except it was included in the Hotel.com price. "Clean, compact and mostly convenient"
New hotel, neat and clean. Very efficient: not spartan but no nonsense. Try to check in before 3pm and you're charged an extra 5 pounds. They don't take your credit card for incidentals as there is no phone or minibar. Wifi is a nightmare to set up: you need to establish an account and it doesn't work well with Firefox or Safari on Mac: be prepared […] to link to your Facebook account. Room was small by Uk standards and tiny in you're accustomed to US rooms. However it was immaculate, quiet and comfortable. Location is not bad: across from Haymarket station and ten minutes to Princes Street. Once the tram is completed the area will look much nicer. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
