The room was cute, clean and had a great view. It was walking distance to everything. Staff was friendly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Smaller, tighter room than others"
I could not believe how small the room was. There was less than 6 inches between one side of the bed and a column off from the wall. I had to lift my foot off the floor, onto the bed to get through. It was the smallest room of all my travel in London and Edinburgh. And the hotel was more expensive than the B&B we booked for the subsequent nights. Glad […] that Tune was full when I booked or we would have to pay more and suffer for two more night. They also charge for early check-in or storing luggage before/after check-in. The staff were friendly though. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Location - unless you have a car"
The staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel was modern and clean. But - the room was tiny, tiny, tiny and the air unit sounded like it was raining and blowing inside our room. Would have been tolerable but it went off and on all night. The hotel has a marvelous location (across from Haymarket Station) so if you take the train in, it is well situated. […] Don't even think about staying here if you have a car. With street closures and one way streets, not even the locals can give good directions to get there and the closest overnight parking is really just an open field in a not so great area. That being said, we left our car there and it wasn't bothered. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel uses modern graphics and paint scheme but rooms are the size of a broom closet! Better description would be glorified hostel. They also nickel and dime you for everything including storage of luggage.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect! And a neat price philosophy!"
I loved this hotel. Staff was helpful, room was clean, location was convenient, and the price was great. What sets this hotel apart is its payment philosophy: you should only have to pay for what you use. So, you only pay for wifi, cable, etc. if you want to use it. This means that if all you need is a bed, then you're room will be cheaper than the […] guy next door who is using wifi and cable. No more having to pay for features you don't care about! "Good location and simple clean place"
Location is about a 10-15 minute walk from Edinburgh castle. Also just around the corner froma £12 per day (outdoor open) car park!!!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Comfortable But Minimalistic"
Good location, clean hotel but very basic.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very modern and clean"
The location was very close to pubs and shops, and the staff constantly tried to accommodate all your requests. Coffee and tea were also very good. Beds were a bit too hard for my comfort and room was a bit small but everything was spotless! Would definitely stay there again!Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel was conveniently located near transportation and eateries. It was very clean and appeared to be new. The bathroom was new and everything worked. The bed was comfortable. Rooms are very tiny so be prepared for that.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice Hotel near to train station"
The Hotel was nicely sitauted, the staff was nice and pleasant. The room was suprisingly clean and the fixtures in the room and bathroom were all new and state of the art.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Would Not Stay Here Until Construction is Done"
This was a VERY BIG Disappointment and it would have been nice for the hotel to contact me at some point (I booked the hotel back in April for and Aug. visit) to either give us an address for the parking area since you can't park or drive up to the hotel due to major road construction that has been going on for 7 yrs. We drove around for an hr asking […] locals where the hotel was. Finally we parked and started walking. They gave us a map to where we can park (which we had to pay for). We drove around for another hr and finally parked the car somewhere else. Then we had to walk with suitcases in hand for 8 blocks. There was no air conditioning in the room which was fine except we could open our window because they did construction ALL night long (24hrs). There were no coffee in the room but for 2.5 Pounds they would gladly make you a cup. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Extremely small and charge for EVERYTHING"
There was barely room to walk in the room, and if you used the shelf to put stuff on you couldn't fit around the bed. Extra charges for TV, wi-fi, blowdryer, and any towel other than two bath towels. No parking and the nearest place available is expensive and a few blocks away. Walls were so thin everything could be heard from the bathroom and neighbors. […] Bathroom door is just shy of see-through. It is more like an expensive hostel than a nice hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful enough, and the room was very clean. If all you want is a few hours sleep before catching a plane, it works great. Other than that, I would not suggest this hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"great experience would stay again!"
clean, nice, safe and comfortable great price!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I was glade that we booked this through Hotels.com. This hotel chain advertises very low rates when you book direct, but then they charge you for every little thing. Examples would be charges for blow dryers, A.C. towels, and early check in. The neighborhood streets have been under construction for over two years, making it very difficult to get ar […] ound. "mixed opinion: convenient but not very comfortabl"
It served the purpose of being close to train station and walkable to center of town. The room is teeny, efficiently designed cute, but very unspacious. In addition, everything cost extra: cleaning the room, internet in the room, hair dryer, etc. cost extra except it was included in the Hotel.com price. (We worried we would have to pay extra for more […] toilet paper.) The room made me feel anxious and a bit claustrophobic--it was JUST roomy enough to maneuver yourself and one other person if you paid attention. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean, compact and mostly convenient"
New hotel, neat and clean. Very efficient: not spartan but no nonsense. Try to check in before 3pm and you're charged an extra 5 pounds. They don't take your credit card for incidentals as there is no phone or minibar. Wifi is a nightmare to set up: you need to establish an account and it doesn't work well with Firefox or Safari on Mac: be prepared […] to link to your Facebook account. Room was small by Uk standards and tiny in you're accustomed to US rooms. However it was immaculate, quiet and comfortable. Location is not bad: across from Haymarket station and ten minutes to Princes Street. Once the tram is completed the area will look much nicer. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Tiny room but good price"
Difficult to maneuver room was the only drawback. Right next to the train station, which is a plus.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel great price"
Fantastic location, new and clean hotel, room are minisculeGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"perfect location next to Haymarket station"
The location couldn't be better for making connections to Edinburgh Apt. And once the tram line is complete it will even be better.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good place to sleep but not much else"
This is a good choice if all you need is a bed and a clean bathroom. The service isn't very good and the internet is pretty terrible. But, it's in a good location -- right across the street from Haymarket Train Station and the Airport bus stops right outside too. It's a 10min walk to Edinburgh Castle and the surrounding area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I stayed here with my daughter and we enjoyed our stay and would recommend for anyone coming to Edinburgh. The hotel is new construction and very modern and clean. The room was very clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. We walked to city center every day (about 10-15 minute walk) As they say here, everything is within walking […] distance if you have the time. They are working on the tram in the front of the hotel and throughout the city but we did not hear the construction however the taxi could not drop us off in front of the hotel but the drive helped us carry our luggage. "If all you want is a bed to sleep on"
To start the road to the hotel is closed so it is really hard to get to, so be aware if you are coming to the hotel in the near future. The hotel itself is full of hidden costs. Do you want to watch tv, get the internet code. Too bad, they charge for that, bring your own hair dryer because you have pay to use that too. The room itself is small, small, […] small...ridiculously small, you have to turn sideways and shuffle to get around the bed. Finally, our garbage cans were completely full upon entering the room so who knows what else they forgot to clean. Don't waste your money on this hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"A cheep but very clean hotel"
This is a cheep hotel, but the facilities are very clean and tidy. The rooms are not cleaned on a daily basis though. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are small and beds are a bit hard, but I would recommend this hotel if the stay is short.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel near Glasgow train station"
The hotel was exactly as billed: new, clean, well maintained and supported, excellent WIFI, great customer service, with very small roomsGenuine Expedia guest review
"Clean, nice staff, few amenities, VERY small room"
The Tune promised a good price, and in that they delivered. We booked through Hotels.com, and thus got the "courtesy package" which included towels, bathsoap, shampoo, access to the TV, and a voucher for a wi-fi connection. Without the "package," each item would have been a separate, additional charge. The hotel is a short walk from both the Old and […] New Towns, but its street is torn up for the tram construction and it is not readily reached except by foot. The room was EXTREMELY small, with barely enough space to get around the double bed. Bring your own towels, soap, and shampoo, and plan to spend most of your time elsewhere, and it would be a great budget stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We had a very enjoyable stay, staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel is situated in a great location very close walk to Princes St. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Edinburgh and would definitely stay there againGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Compact and Functional"
Really nice staff, very helpful. Budget hotel with small but comfortable rooms. Nice bathroom, all very clean, comfortable bed. Perfect for overnight stops if you just need a bed for the night. For business travellers the arrangement where you have to sit on the edge of the bed and use a drop-down desk under the tv isn't ideal but its great if you're […] on a budget. "Perfect for short trip"
The Tune Hotel was perfect for our short trip as it was in a great location and the bus from the airport stopped directly outside. The rooms are small but they are all you need when you are off in the city all day. Great value for money.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"what you see is what you get!"
Spent a night at the Tune Edinburgh. Brilliant location, lovely staff always smiling. Rooms were well presented clean tidy and cosy. The rooms may seem small to some but for the location and presentation was well priced. Would definitely visit again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, comfy room"
Enjoyable stay, great rate which included free wifi, towels etc. Directly opposite Haymarket stationGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Basic & Clean"
Located opposite Haymarket station with excellent transport connections.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
excellent, but extractor fans/air conditioning could do with improvement in windowless rooms to remove odours for perfect satisfaction!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"All Essentials available"
I think the Tune Hotel in Haymarket is in a great location to get into Edinburgh and the train station is directly across. The rooms are very compact but all essential are available. Not a hotel for me as a bit noisyGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent bathroom quality"
Very good quality bathroom (small - but expected that for low price). Good value for money. Good cafe very close by for breakfast - Bean Scene (lots of comfy chairs, plenty of tables, good service) - turn left out of hotel and a short way down the road on left. Don't go to Starbucks opposite - small and poky in comparison.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I only stayed at this hotel for two nights but it was a great location -literally across the street from the haymarket train station. Room was tidy and nice but the shower door was slightly awkward. Nice big bed and friendly staff. Would recommend and stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good value, no frills hotel"
This is my second visit to Tune. It suits my needs perfectly as I fly frequently between Spain and Scotland, and need an overnight stay before heading to the airport. Its convenient for the train station as I travel to Aberdeen to visit family and for the express bus to the airport, both are directly opposite the hotel. Its close enough to walk to Princes […] Street for some retail therapy or there's plenty bars and restaraunts nearby. The rooms are ample for a night or two, clean and bright with a comfy bed to give a good nights sleep. The staff are very polite and professional,i would not hesitate in staying again and would definitly recommend. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Stay was not bad. Japanese kinda living... no complains. A bit pricey for just a room as there are no other services provided.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I had booked online. The hotel was convenient to get to, the welcome was friendly, the hotel clean with good security. The room was a tad small but functional. "Great hotel for price and location"
My husband and I stayed two nights at Tune, the room was clean and comfortable, however, we found the double bed to be quite small, and the air con was randomly a little loud...BUT considering we only paid $60AUD per night, we were fine with the little things! "Reasonable value for money"
The hotel is not very old and is in good condition. the rooms (not to spacious) and general areas were all very clean and tidy. and it is right across the road from Haymarket railway station. Only complaint is the sound proofing we heard banging doors all night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Matchbox room with no windows"
Worst hotel stay ever! The room was more like a hot and stuffy hostel and less like a real hotel. Everything from the bed to the pillows is cheap. Also, It is very important to double check your reservation to see if it includes towels, t.v, ,blow dryer because it's ALL an extra expense. Most of all... "location ok and it is quite modern"
I stayed here for just one night and I found check in time of 3.00pm quite late and check out time of 10.00am too early. Although hotel is clean and fresh looking the room was absolutely tiny, had to climb over bed to get to other side as no room to walk aroound it. Would not use this hotel again. "nice room, too many extra charges"
Lovely room, quite small and windowless as expected when booked. Super location directly opposite Haymarket station. Used to having to pay extra for WiFi but to have to pay to use tv and hairdryer was over the top. Thought it was just budget airlines that were that penny pinching.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
