"Small room, NO free luggage storage"
The room was very small. We can't open two suitcases on the floor at the same time. The hotel looked modern but the service was disappointing. We had to pay for storing luggage. It is very common that a sizable hotel holds customers' bags free of charge. The only thing we admired was the location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location and price"
If you are after budget, clean, close to city hotel this is it. Very cheap and across the road from Haymarket train station. Trams out the front as well as busses. Easy walk into city. Great hotel just to sleep.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Tune hotel is just a stone throw from Haymarket train station and is in an excellent location if you are planning to travel out of Edinburgh or to the airport by train. Staff service was good. So was security as one can access the room corridors only if you have a room card. The room was small, clean and the Hotel Management should consider giving two […] pillows instead of one. Alternately, give a puffed up pillow for improved comfort. The Hotel should also not charge when hotel guests check in their luggage only earlier. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient Location just outside City Center"
If you don't mind a 10-15 minute walk into the city center than I would definitely recommend this hotel. My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights and found the hotel to be very clean, staff very helpful and for us it was a great location. We didn't mind the walk and never had to use public transportation. There are also good restaurants near buy if you […] don't want the hassle of eating in the city center and the Haymarket Train Station is right across the street as is the bus stop for the AirLink bus that takes you to the airport Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Just by Haymarket Station, handy for bus & tram. Room a bit cramped. No shaver socketGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel in a great location!"
Tune Hotel was just perfect for a couple of days in the Scottish capital. Literally directly across the street from Haymarket train station and only about a 15-20 minute walk to the Royal Mile and Princes Street. The room itself is laid out to maximize function in a limited amount of space (the desk/table folds into the wall and the bed is high enough […] off the ground for your suitcase to fit underneath, for example). We already booked a second stay at Tune since it was so nice! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"good location. zero frills."
Location was convenient, to and from Edinburgh airport. Available to almost any location in city centre. Very bare bones services from hotel, be aware of room without windows.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Budget Hotel Charges For Everything"
On arrival we noticed that this hotel is structured to charge separately for individual items. They wanted to charge us 2 pound each for storing our bags for a couple of hours leading up to the official check in time. They would not permit early check ins unless you paid 10 pound for the privilege. Luckily with Hotels . Com bookings things such as TV […] usage, change of towels and Wi-Fi usage are included as part of the booking price paid. Otherwise, the stay was pleasant and in Edinburgh I believe it was value for money. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"More than we bargained for"
Fantastic hotel, will be recommending to anyone visiting edinburgh! Only 10 minutes to get into the city centre and the rooms had everything you need for a site seeing trip. Very impressed by the style of the room, boutique-like!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent service and a great location"
Hotel is directly opposite hay market station and bus and tram stops, so easily assesable if you don't want to walk up to princes street. Our room was spotlessly clean with a nice view as at the rear of the hotel on the 7th floor. All extras was includied in our price as booked through expidia. Staff were fantastic and couldn't do enough to help. All […] polite and friendly. Would highly recommend Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very clean and great location"
Right across from the Haymarket train station, you can catch your trains from there. Excellent restaurants nearby. Only complaint is the rooms are tiny and we could have used a small table and chair for internet use. Otherwise it was very clean and new.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Thanks to the staff"
Small room, but very comfortable. Well located, about 10-15 minutes walk of the city center. Near to few restaurants et bus and train station. The staff is there to help you, with things with your room or to give informations about things to do in the city and good indications for public transportation. I recommanded this hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel's location couldn't be better! The rooms are small but perfect for a few nights. Very clean and modern hotel with friendly attentive staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Easy, no fuss"
This is a clean, modern, well maintained, no-fuss accommodation, close to transport links (direct tram and bus links to airport, railway station across the road) and to town centre. Very good value for money for an overnight stay, although room smallest that I've every been in (no seating area) and definitely not for light sleepers as windows overlooking […] the busy main road with traffic including trams. Ask for a quiet room. Friendly service. Bear in mind, though, and that's the biggest drawback, that everything from watching TV to leaving your luggage after check-out is considered extra and needs to be paid for. "Good Value Short Stay"
Fortunately as I booked through Hotels.com my very reasonable rate included all the extras (a towel etc!) that I would have paid had I booked direct with Tune Hotels. The room was adequate for a short stay as very limited space to store clothes etc. Functional, clean and comfortable bed it was good value for a short stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Location, location, location"
Very close to railway station and city services. Very well located if using public transport.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient, Efficient, Clean"
This was a very well placed hotel, situated literally across the road from the Haymarket Train Station, and from the Tram lines, as well as having a line of taxis out front, there was no room for lack of transport. On entering, the reception was quite friendly, and well organised - something that is much appreciated when ending up here, after a very […] long train ride, and feeling too wrecked to think. The room was very clean, and although everything "had its place," was efficient in its use of space. Well lit, and the temperature was comfortable. This hotel is definitely in my list of places to stay, when considering Edinburgh for a holiday again! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect in every way"
I have to say we were really impressed with this hotel in every way , it was lovely and clean the staff went out if their way to make everything just right during our stay . Quality hotel with no frills - towels/hairdryer/TV all add ons. No tea/coffee making facilities in room. The quality of the room was good & it was clean but very small, likewise for the ensuite toilet/shower room. Reception staff friendly & helpful - our key card wouldn't work & they sorted it out with no fuss. Located directly across the road from […] Haymarket Station, excellent access to bus & tram services. Would consider using again for an overnight stay in Edinburgh. "Really nice stay"
Stayed here for two nights on a girly get away. Staff were friendly and helpful, room was nice although quite small and a few dust particles lying around. No restaurant in hotel but one connecting to it which was very nice and reasonably pricedGenuine Hotels.com guest review
very convienent hotel out of haymarket, front rooms noisier than backrooms, because of tram and traffic street very busyy and trafficlightsGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Everything it promised it would be!"
My fiancé and I enjoyed a 2 night stay at the hotel whilst taking part in the Edinburgh Marathon (25th May). The room was small with a comfortable bed, large tv, hot and good sized shower, clean bathroom and funky decor. The hotel staff were very pleasant, helpful and knowledgable about the area and transport. The location is perfect-there are taxis […] outside, a busy bus stops on both sides of the road and a 30 second dash to Haymarket Train Station. The hotel was very secure; you needed your room card to access the lifts and all floors of the hotel. If you want a large room with luxurious features, spa facilities and fancy dining-don't stay here!! However, if you read the description of the hotel properly and want a comfy bed for a night or two then the Tune Hotel is perfect! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Wonderful hotel near Haymarket station"
U can get everything there. Many restaurants nearby, close to the castle, new trams service (open 31/05/14), 15 mins walk to Princes street, etc.Genuine Expedia guest review
Location is good, about 20 minutes walk from Prince's Street. Hotel very clean. As room as only cleaned every 3 days it would be good if there were some bins provided externally to dispose of rubbish. Wifi wasnt very good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
From the minute u walk in the door its fresh clean excellent staff pub n restaurant attached food fantastic and a short walk to castleGenuine Expedia guest review
Really great hotel: not massive rooms, but more than big enough at the price point, very clean and well fitted. If the beds were slightly more comfortable this would have been a perfect score all the way through, but again for the price point the beds were more than fine!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The room was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. We were very pleased that our high expectations of the room and location were met. The location was excellent. We were able to catch the train to Aberdeen at the station across the street, and get to the hop on hop off bus site within a short walking distance. Hotel reception staff greeted us […] with a smile and were very helpful. An added bonus is the restaurant attached to the hotel has great meals at very good prices. We would recommend both the hotel and restaurant highly. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"OK, but rooms are very small"
The location was good for my purposes. The front desk staff were helpful, let me use the reception phone. The rooms are very small, there is not room to open a suitcase on the floor space available. I was staying alone in the room, had there been a second person, one of us would have had to be on the bed to allow the other person to move in the room. […] There are no phones in the room, so if you do not have a cell phone, making calls is a challenge. The bed was not as comfortable as I would have liked - for a fairly new hotel, the bed is already showing signs of lumpiness and wear. Overall cleanliness was acceptable, lifts were in good working order. I would stay here again if current standards are maintained, and bed quality is kept up. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel but minus basic necessaries"
We stayed here for 2 nights . Located opposite the Haymarket train station ( and a 3 min train ride from Edinburgh Weaverly station and a 15 min drive from the bus from airport) , the location is good. It is also a 15 min walk from the Edinburgh Castle and one can buy a day bus pass for € 3 if one does not fancy walking. The location of a deptt store […] opposite the hotel is good. Subway is 5 min away. But the hotel rooms are small. Bathroom even smaller. Basic necessaries which one assumes a given are missing - towel, soaps etc- unless u have taken it part of the package. Check in time is too late - 3 PM and one needs to pay to keep the luggage - € 2 per bag- I think unacceptable. Overall I think one can get a better deal somewhere else Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Quick stop to sit an exam"
I chose this hotel as it was close to my exam venue and is just across the road from the train station (literally right opposite!) so the location was perfect. However I am glad my husband decided against travelling with me as he hates small hotel rooms and Tune has miniscule rooms! There is just enough space to move around the bed and almost space […] to turn round in the bathroom. I loved it, it was practical, functional and interesting. I understand why I got this at such a great rate, especially as I had a windowless room in the centre of the hotel. There was no food available onsite as the adjoining bar was closed for staff training and as I arrived late in the evening I couldn't find much open in the area. Check-out was 10am which if I was travelling for leisure I would have been put off by but I had to be out early anyway. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

We had a pleasant 3 night stay at tune hotel! Litterally 30 Metres from haymarket station and within walking distance to centre Edinburgh. Taxis and buses coming past very regularly as well. There are nice resteraunts litterally 200 metres up the road. Our room and bathroom was very cramped but that's the only downside to what was a pretty enjoyable […] stay. "Nice hotel in the heart of Edinburgh"
This was a good hotel to stay in. No breakfast. Make sure you don't come early they won't let you check in early until the check in time. They will hold your luggage but for a fee of like 4 or 5 pounds. Hotel is very close to Edinburgh castle like 10-15 walk, a must seeGenuine Expedia guest review
"New hotel but small rooms"
Nice hotel, 15 min walk from city center. Room was clean and modern but very small. Basically a bed, hallway and bathroom. Staff friendly and knowlegdableGenuine Expedia guest review
I realise it is a budget hotel, but the room was maybe a little too small! Plus, tea and coffee making facilities in room wouldn't have gone amiss. Apart from that, it was clean, quiet and in a,super location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Directly opposite haymarket station, only 15 mins walk to princes street, can also get bus opposite to zoo (10 minute journey). Location is perfect! Hotel rooms are SMALL! Similar to pod type rooms, with a small shower/toilet cubicle. Perfect size for a city break place to crash but not much room to move around and limited hanging space. Staff were […] brilliant and friendly - we asked for extra pillows and they were delivered to room within 10 minutes. Basic facilities, no kettle in room but Starbucks and marks and spencer in station opposite for nibbles. Would absolutely stay here again, fab Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Tiny room, great location. good service"
The location of the hotel is very good, just right opposite to the Haymarket Rail Station and it is about 10 minutes walk to the city centre. I really like the staffs and the design there. However, there is only one thing which may need to be concerned was the room was too small. It does not even have a wardrobe. I still quite like this hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Small rooms which was to be expected as it's a modular hotel. What was not expected was that the rooms are only cleaned once every three days. If your do not disturb is on your door they let themselves in and clean anyways. Very thin walls. Could hear everything all through the night. Catered to younger clientele that was out to the early hours and […] very noisy when they came back in. All in all it reminded me of a private room in a hostel only decorated a lot nicer.
