"Nice hotel great price"
Fantastic location, new and clean hotel, room are minisculeGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"perfect location next to Haymarket station"
The location couldn't be better for making connections to Edinburgh Apt. And once the tram line is complete it will even be better.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good place to sleep but not much else"
This is a good choice if all you need is a bed and a clean bathroom. The service isn't very good and the internet is pretty terrible. But, it's in a good location -- right across the street from Haymarket Train Station and the Airport bus stops right outside too. It's a 10min walk to Edinburgh Castle and the surrounding area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I stayed here with my daughter and we enjoyed our stay and would recommend for anyone coming to Edinburgh. The hotel is new construction and very modern and clean. The room was very clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. We walked to city center every day (about 10-15 minute walk) As they say here, everything is within walking […] distance if you have the time. They are working on the tram in the front of the hotel and throughout the city but we did not hear the construction however the taxi could not drop us off in front of the hotel but the drive helped us carry our luggage. "If all you want is a bed to sleep on"
To start the road to the hotel is closed so it is really hard to get to, so be aware if you are coming to the hotel in the near future. The hotel itself is full of hidden costs. Do you want to watch tv, get the internet code. Too bad, they charge for that, bring your own hair dryer because you have pay to use that too. The room itself is small, small, […] small...ridiculously small, you have to turn sideways and shuffle to get around the bed. Finally, our garbage cans were completely full upon entering the room so who knows what else they forgot to clean. Don't waste your money on this hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"A cheep but very clean hotel"
This is a cheep hotel, but the facilities are very clean and tidy. The rooms are not cleaned on a daily basis though. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are small and beds are a bit hard, but I would recommend this hotel if the stay is short.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel near Glasgow train station"
The hotel was exactly as billed: new, clean, well maintained and supported, excellent WIFI, great customer service, with very small roomsGenuine Expedia guest review
"Clean, nice staff, few amenities, VERY small room"
The Tune promised a good price, and in that they delivered. We booked through Hotels.com, and thus got the "courtesy package" which included towels, bathsoap, shampoo, access to the TV, and a voucher for a wi-fi connection. Without the "package," each item would have been a separate, additional charge. The hotel is a short walk from both the Old and […] New Towns, but its street is torn up for the tram construction and it is not readily reached except by foot. The room was EXTREMELY small, with barely enough space to get around the double bed. Bring your own towels, soap, and shampoo, and plan to spend most of your time elsewhere, and it would be a great budget stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Room was small, but it suited us just perfect. Staff were great. Ideally suited for transport links into the city centre. Platform 5 adjoins the hotel and offers great food and drink for great prices. Would reccommend this hotel to anyone. Had a fantastic stay, back in December !Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Dungeon of a room!"
Clean hotel, but room was far too small, the bed took up the whole floor space and it was a small double at that! No window! No chair to sit on! No table! And only one plug socket!! Towels weren't changed and beds weren't made. also very noisy. Yes it was cheap, but I have stayed in far better hotels for the same price. Would not return.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The room was compact but very clean and the bed was comfortable. The location was fantastic, right across from Haymarket station. I'd definitely use this venue again. Also, checking in and out was simple and straightforward and the staff were pleasant and professional.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Easier than the taxi homr"
The room is as small as possible but it clean well maintained and surprisingly practical. A great alternative if you have an expensive taxi to get home after an evening out in Edinburgh. Will definitely use againGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel needs to be more up front about the standard of service provided. Our room had no window, the towels we were informed would only be changed every third unless we requested otherwise! Even then we only got one towel each. At no time during our three day stay was the room serviced. By the end of our stay our waste bin was overflowing. If we […] had know in advance the quality of service that this hotel offers we would have went elsewhere. The room was clean in the hotels defence, it just felt like a cell. Also the location was convenient to the city centre. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"modern and clean"
this hotel is modern and clean and is close to all that edinburgh has to offer. The room we had was quite small with not much space to put your stuff. If it is just somewhere to lay your head this is the hotel for you. There is a good bar/restaurant next doorGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Very good service and an interesting decor (Black Red and Grey!) which grows on you. Plus excellent staff and could not ask for a better position for the Conference center. Only thing was breakfast next door in the pub was a bit confusing. Made up for by a very good value breakfast bap and unlimited coffee. We will be back.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great, but avoid the windowless rooms"
It is an existing hotel that has been overhauled. But it was quite full because of the Scottish independence referendum, and there are a series of rooms in the middle of the building without windows. It was small and rather claustrophobic if you wanted it for anything other than sleeping in it would be dreadful. Call to avoid these rooms!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good clean venue spoiled by room size and bed!"
The Tune hotel is conveniently located right across from Haymarket station. It is clean and staff too were friendly and helpful. However, that is where the praise ends I am afraid. I stay in Edinburgh once a month and have stayed in over 50 different hotels in the capital and I am afraid the Tune so far has been my worst experience for two main reasons […] - 1. size of room. They are 'pod' design so not only was there barely enough room for me to sit on the toilet, I hardly had room to put my bag on the floor somewhere I wouldn't trip over it! 2. The bed! Not only was it 'squashed' between two of the walls (I kid you not - the bed had about 2cm clearance at the foot end!), despite a big poster in the reception announcing 'award winning beds' (must have been an award for the most badly designed sleeping apparatus on earth) I can honestly say, hand on heart that my bed at the Tune hotel was one of the most uncomfortable beds I have ever had the misfortune to attempt to sleep in! All I can say is that it is the type of mattress you see in furnished student houses or in grotty bedsits. Not dirty in any way, but so, so uncomfortable to the point where I literally woke every 20 mins during the night. The result? One very tired and stroppy business man with a long day of meetings ahead! Unfortunately I will not ever be staying there again and I would strongly recommend you avoid.... unless you are a vampire or zombie and do not require a good night's sleep Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Value For Money"
Tune provides good value for the money spent.Clean room, comfortable bed, adequate security. I wish the shower cubicle was about 10% bigger. Even though I am small built I kept knocking against the sides. WiFi was not reliable some times.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Clean and modern. Good location right opposite haymarket station. Only thing missing was a kettle in the room!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"excellent budget hotel"
Room & bathroom was spotless, really good service, we were even checked in an hour early (I think you normally get charged, but I feel like the receptionist took pity on our rain-soaked selves) Fairly small rooms but it's really all you need. Location is about 15 minutes walk from the main centre of Edinburgh, but it's in no way strenuous, and you can […] get a tram from right out front if you're feeling lazy. "No frills, exactly what was needed."
This was perfectly suitable for my requirements. The only thing I would have liked to add would have been a kettle and mugs.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel right across from Haymarket train station, but of course I booked train tickets to Waverly, my mistake. Hotel nice and clean. My room was very small for the price and had NO WINDOW. Had to have aircon on all the time as was stuff and the bed was rock hard. The bathroom was very tiny and the room felt very claustrophobic as only two feet of movement […] before the bed. My main issue was the bed was very uncomfortable and also a bit short for my long lets and since you had to have the AC on all the time it was quite noisy during the night; therefore, I didn't get much sleep. plus side, the room was clean and modern, but no Tea tray which is usually a standard at any hotel. Also if not booked through external company, it states you have to pay extra for towels, hairdryer,safe,wi-fi etc which is odd. Overall I found it was too expensive at 80+ pounds per night for the level of comfort I received. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good hotel for the budget conscience"
Good little hotel. Nice walk to the major sights. Located in front of rail station and tram stop - which means easy access to the rest of the UK and the EDI airport respectively. Compared to other local hotels, I would stay here again because of price and location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent for short stays"
The hotel had everything you would expect, except coffee facilities in room. Room was clean, fresh, but compact.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was very clean and decor fresh and modern, BUT very disappointed that no tea making facilities in room, OR room not serviced and charge for extra towels AND hairdryer. Also in brochure given to us on signing in stated that TV, hairdryer and extra towels had to be paid for! This would be acceptable if a budget hotel....but the price we paid […] certainly was NOT budget price. (worked out price over £100 per night ... we booked for 2 nights) So please on your website make clear the extra charges with no room cleaning. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Friendly staff, clean, but bed a bit hard"
It was quite expensive for what it was, but it was a weekend during the Festival, so only to be expected. We had a room without a window which was fine, but another 15cm around the bed would have helped, as it was pretty cramped, but then once in bed the mattress was on the slightly too firm side and neither of us slept that well, despite being exhausted […] from a day's events. "Basic but fine."
A budget hotel, absolutely fine for our needs.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
the hotel was clean and staff pleasant , but the rooms were very small and not the best. plus with no windows it was very claustrophobic.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect for what it is"
All we wanted was a hotel close to haymarket station. Perfect location right over the road, comfortable bed and clean room. Great for one night and for what we wanted.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice short stay for me here. Nice location, and no problems checking in or out. Clean room if a bit small, but not really a problem.Would use again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Location-excellent close to the centre, room size- very small but manageable for two people, everywhere tidy and clean, air conditioning was easy to use and great to have!! Would recommend this hotel any day!Genuine Expedia guest review
"A nice trendy hotel"
A nice trendy hotel, well decorated and well located near the train station. Amenities are pleasing but standard rooms are too small and have too little facilities (ex: no closet, no drawers for your clothes). Also, bed comfort was not very good.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Small room, NO free luggage storage"
The room was very small. We can't open two suitcases on the floor at the same time. The hotel looked modern but the service was disappointing. We had to pay for storing luggage. It is very common that a sizable hotel holds customers' bags free of charge. The only thing we admired was the location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location and price"
If you are after budget, clean, close to city hotel this is it. Very cheap and across the road from Haymarket train station. Trams out the front as well as busses. Easy walk into city. Great hotel just to sleep.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
In a fantastic area, bed good shower good but no room. it is a bed in a small box, so if your looking just for a bed this is perfect but there is no room to spend in your room.Genuine Expedia guest review
Tune hotel is just a stone throw from Haymarket train station and is in an excellent location if you are planning to travel out of Edinburgh or to the airport by train. Staff service was good. So was security as one can access the room corridors only if you have a room card. The room was small, clean and the Hotel Management should consider giving two […] pillows instead of one. Alternately, give a puffed up pillow for improved comfort. The Hotel should also not charge when hotel guests check in their luggage only earlier. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient Location just outside City Center"
If you don't mind a 10-15 minute walk into the city center than I would definitely recommend this hotel. My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights and found the hotel to be very clean, staff very helpful and for us it was a great location. We didn't mind the walk and never had to use public transportation. "Great hotel in a great location!"
Tune Hotel was just perfect for a couple of days in the Scottish capital. Literally directly across the street from Haymarket train station and only about a 15-20 minute walk to the Royal Mile and Princes Street. The room itself is laid out to maximize function in a limited amount of space (the desk/table folds into the wall and the bed is high enough […] off the ground for your suitcase to fit underneath, for example). We already booked a second stay at Tune since it was so nice! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location, no frills"
If you book through Expedia you don't have to pay for toiletries, wifi or towel service. Otherwise you do. No on-site food though there's a M&S across the street and a pub next door.Genuine Expedia guest review
"good location. zero frills."
Location was convenient, to and from Edinburgh airport. Available to almost any location in city centre. Very bare bones services from hotel, be aware of room without windows.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

room was fine, small but everything that was needed for a short stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Budget Hotel Charges For Everything"
On arrival we noticed that this hotel is structured to charge separately for individual items. They wanted to charge us 2 pound each for storing our bags for a couple of hours leading up to the official check in time. They would not permit early check ins unless you paid 10 pound for the privilege. Luckily with Hotels . Com bookings things such as TV […] usage, change of towels and Wi-Fi usage are included as part of the booking price paid. Otherwise, the stay was pleasant and in Edinburgh I believe it was value for money. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Cheap hotel in the centre of Edinburgh"
Great location, friendly staff and clean rooms. The room had basic facilities but this was more than adequate for a one night stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
I was quite impressed by Tune Hotel. The room was a nice size, very bright and very clean. They have an elevator, very exciting for someone who's been staying at elevatorless hostels with a 25kg suitcase. The staff were very helpful and friendly as well. The only thing I was disappointed about was that it was a 30 minute walk to the parts of town I […] spent a lot of my time in (old town, grassmarket area). To be fair, the weather was beautiful so those walks weren't terrible, and the tram stopped right outside the hotel as well, so it was pretty convenient to get places, really. "Excellent service and a great location"
Hotel is directly opposite hay market station and bus and tram stops, so easily assesable if you don't want to walk up to princes street.
