Parmer's Resort - Florida Keys

We rented the cabin with 2 twin beds. It was clean but extremely tiny. 2 beds and a nightstand, couldn't even bring our big suitcase in. The people who run the place were very friendly and the grounds are well kept.

I liked the hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable. I liked the hardwood floor for sanitary reasons. Heated pool was nice and clean, didn't smell like chlorine. Continental breakfast was decent. No eggs and sausage but was sufficient for us. Coffee could be better. Seemed like a good fishing spot too, although we didn't fish.

We chose this location based on the cleanliness ratings alone. While it was clean it was clearly run down. Rooms are renovated trailers with next to no privacy and very small. Stayed two days and would return. Clean, well maintained and near Bahia Honda State Park, an excellent state park with crystal clear waters. Bahia is the main attraction as you can snorkel onshore or out on a boat. Great restaurant nearby and grocery store. Decent pool. A low keyed place. Only downside I could see is if you had a chain smoker next door […] as one smokes on the deck and rooms are in close proximity. That can happen anywhere though. It does seem a lot of people smoke in the south. If you are spending much time in Key West I'd go with a hotel there as this is a solid half hour or more away. Paid $150 for an economy queen. I had a workshop on Big Pine Key, so this hotel was ideally located. Key West itself is about 25 miles away, so not too bad for day trips, but inconvenient for a night out. The hotel was very nice, right on the water, with comfortable rooms and lovely, relaxing hammocks to catch the sea breeze. The provided breakfast was okay, nothing special, but still […] nice to get the day going. My only complaint is the WiFi. If I hadn't needed to get even the most basic work done, I wouldn't have cared, but even checking email was a nightmare. The manager said we should have the best signal since we were above the office, but it was just nonexistent. This appears to be pretty typical for the Keys, but still frustrating. We were very satisfied with our stay. Room was a little small and stuffy, but overall a pleasant stay. Nice pool, continental breakfast and personnel. An area in back to walk around by the water with hammocks. Comfortable and safe stay away from the masses.

Parmer's Resort, on Little Torch Key, was less expensive than most other places for a March stay, and it is safe to say we got what we paid for. The staff was helpful and friendly (left our room open for a late arrival, got ice for our water bottles) and gave good advice for places to go and eat. The room was clean, but tiny! There was only 1 nightstand […] as the bathroom sink was on the other side of the bed; there were no windows, and fresh air could only be attained by leaving the door open; the shower was 3 feet by 3 feet. The continental breakfast was fine, a collection of toast, english muffins, store-bought donuts, cereal, juice, fruit and coffee. There is a pool that was warm (but we didn't go in), and nice chairs to sit on the edge of the bay. There's a laundry (we didn't use that either) and wifi (but not in our room). If you stay, avoid the building across the road (our room was called 'Lobster'). If you're interested in going to Bahia Honda or Marathon, this is a good location. For Key West, it was a little far. Even though it was clean, and the staff was great, I don't think we'll stay there again. The tiny room was just too much. Read more

We loved the location, cleanliness, wonderful pool, friendly helpful staff. We didn't like the lack of privacy in our room. The walls were paper thin and you could hear everything that went on the next door neighbor's bathroom, including him throwing up in the middle of the night.

We didn't want to stay in Key West and chose Parmer's resort, which is about 20 miles away . Found it to be quiet, which we liked. There were three exceptionally good restaurants nearby within a couple of miles. Would highly recommend them. Staff was very helpful. Would stay there again.

I'm sure Parmer's resort has larger rooms, but the double room they put us in the Swordfish (and I kid you not) was maybe 1.5x the size of the standard queen mattress we slept on. Was clean and freshly painted, but there may have been 2 feet of floor space on each of the 3 sides of the bed and that was the entire room (maybe 100 sq feet total). We use this hotel for just a night and it was a little disappointing. I got a call at 6,30 telling me how to access my room if i were in late. They didn't leave the key or left the room unlocked. The hotel/property is excellent. We were there for only one night and quite liked the place. The only problem was with the fire alarm which went off around 2 am. The location of Parmer's Resort is great - mid Keys area, close to the beautiful Bahia Honda State Park and not in a congested area. Given the price of the room, the accommodations need an update. The beds were fine but sheets and bedding were substandard. Recognizing that they get a lot of fisherfolks, this may be OK. It's okay for an affordable option but we went for new year's and it was terribly over priced. The word "resort" is definitively over rated for this place, but it has the basics that you need to spend the night. Spending Christmas in the Keys is going to be expensive so this place was probably not out of line on the price. No maid service of any kind. For the price they should have brought new towels and emptied the trash cans in your room. Free continental breakfast wasn't much but I guess better than nothing. It was a nice water front location.

This hotel might have the best location in the entire Florida Keys. It is fairly close to Bahia Honda State Park (best beach in the Keys, by far), very close to the Key Deer Refuge, and 35-45 minutes from Key West. The hotel itself has an old-time Keys feel, with a few modern amenities. It is a relaxing, casual place, nicely suited for families.

Bonne impression. Petite chambre par rapport aux hôtels habituels aux USA mais largement suffisante et confortable, dans un bungalow à 2 chambres.
