Great location near Old Town We liked the location of La Siesta. It was perfect for those more interested in Old Town--the catherdarl, square,market, etc. This is what Mazaltltan is really all about. Could walk anywhere in 10 minutes. The view from our window was spectacular. Be sure to pay a little more for the ocean side view--worth every penny. Very friendly people at the front desk. Would stay there again.

My parents and I had a great time at El Cid El Moro. The room was clean, spacious and quiet to the world around the hotel. We enjoyed the ocean view from the hotel. EL Moro staff was attentive and on top of taking care of our needs. I want to specially thank Luis Front Desk and Oliver Valet/Belly Boy or going the extra mile. I look forward to visiting Mazatlan and El Cid El Moro on my next vacation. Thank you

Everything about this hotel is great. The only downside was the adjoining room had a smoker in it and the smoke seemed to seep into our room.

We stayed at our timeshare at Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay for a week and extended our stay at El Sol for 2 glorious days. Ray and Linda are wonderful... hosts. The site of the hotel right on the beach is unbelievable. Pool and seating area great place to watch the pelicans soar by and watch incredible sunsets. We had a early teetime and our hosts setup up breakfast early for us. Of course with the Surf's Up right next door is a big plus. El Sol La Vida in Mazatlan was such a neat and relaxing place to stay. Linda and Ray were so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the Surf´s UP Cafe as well. The Food was amazing, very organic and delicious. I highly recommend this place, the house is very clean, the rooms are nice and clean. It is new and with all the ammenities. El Sol La Vida is not like any hotel I’ve ever stayed. There are just four suites, two upstairs and two down. It’s beautifully landscaped and right on the beach. There’s a wonderful pool as well. The rooms are very comfy, well appointed and have huge bathrooms and walk-in showers. Ray and Linda’s daughter, Leanne, has a fantastic café – Surf’s Up Café […] right on the hotel grounds. All I can say is, FANTASTIC. Leanne, in only a year, has brought her beach side café to number 16 of all restaurants in Mazatlan on Trip Advisor. A testament to her culinary skills and fantastic concoctions – unlike anything you’ll get at any other restaurant in Mazatlan. Yes, El Sol La Vida and the Surf’s Up Café are off the beaten path of the Golden Zone in Nuevo Mazatlan. That’s what makes them so great: laid back; comfortable; relaxing. You have a beautiful beach right at your front door, nearly all to yourself. Feeling like you’re at home, but away – that is El Sol La Vida. When your trip is up and it’s time to leave, believe me – as you hug Ray, Linda and Leanne and say your good byes you feel like you’re leaving part of your family behind.
