"Quiet and comfortable"
We spent 3 nights here in a mountain view room that was beautifully-appointed, with a comfortable bed and spacious shower that had heat lamps as well as hot water. It was cold in March and the bed has a heating pad, which was good. The owners speak good English but were away most of the time we were there. The other staff were helpful but inexperienced, […] having been there only 1 week to 1 month. The hotel arranged train and airport transfers and a car for trip to Tiger Leaping Gorge. Would recommend this if you want to stay in the small village of Baisha rather than Lijiang. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

My room had a lovely view of Jade Snow Mountain. The linens were all clean and crisp. (sheets and duvet *****) Good heater in the room and electric mattress pad on the bed. The bathroom was enormous with tile floor to ceiling. The shower was big enough for sevral people and had 4 heat lamps. The bedroom furniture was comfortable and attractive. Overall, […] excellent quality, much more than I expected for the price. The room was bigger and more comfortable than some 4 star hotels I have experienced in Hong Kong. The location is in a quiet village. If you are looking for clean mountain air, peace and quiet this is a place you want to experience. (January 2-4, 2013). Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Hard to find, but worth it"
This hotel is difficult to get to, but once you get there it is worth it. The standard rooms are top quality for an affordable price. The rooms provide you with everthing you need and more, including WIFI in your room. There is a beautiful view of Yulong Snow Mountain. If you're looking for a comfortable, relaxing stay, this hotel is ideal.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location for a countryside break"
We stayed for 8 nights at the end of a month of travelling in China - we were looking for a relaxing week to cycle and walk and explore rural Yunnan. The location was great for this - a non commercial village with the more commercial Lijiang and Shuhe easily accessible . The hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly. Bikes were available for hire […] and of good quality. We ate in the village at the Roadside Cafe and the food was excellent - fresh and simple.

Trevlig lokalbefolkning.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

I traveled to Yunnan from 3-8 April 2014 and stayed in Lijiang at Baisha holiday resort hotel from 5-6 April. Here is very nice place to take a rest and everything is comfortable. Baisha hotel is the one of Lijiang ancient style. I felt very peaceful and could saw the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from here. /Pol
"A Comfortable Hotel Makes an Excellent Journey"

I have just returned from Lijiang, Yunnan, China, but I couldn't forget the 8 days' travel, especially my stay at Baisha Holiday Resort Hotel. Staying at Baisha Holiday Resort Hotel helps me get away from the crowded and noisy Lijiang Old Town which is overly commercialized. I found I could sense tranquility, peace, and purity there in Baisha Holiday Resort. I would like to stay once again at that hotel if I would travel to Lijiang a second time. Fortunately, I have taken some photos of Baisha Holiday Resort to share with all those who want to tour around Yunnan.

I often go to Shuhe and Dayan old town but it's really over touristy. Once I had a chance to go to Baisha Holiday Resort Lijiang, I am surprised. This is the place I looking for a long time. It's like the paradise. Maybe to someone Shuhe and Dayan old town is the real Lijiang, but for me Baisha is real, especially Baisha Holiday Resort ,I enjoy the sunshine, the cafe etc. Everything there is so nice. Love it!
"Peaceful alternative to Lijiang!!"

We visited the Lijiang area over spring festival - we could not believe how touristy and busy it was. Baisha Resort was truly a world apart. Peaceful, quiet, relaxed. The hotel is aesthetically pleasing, a traditional older building that has been beautifully cared for. The staff were fantastic. Having already spent some days closer to the center of activity we were perfectly happy to enjoy the quiet and tranquility of Baisha town. The hotel location is great, just one block from the very small ancient village, so walking to restaurants and shops is easy. We rented bikes and had a great bike ride out to Jade Dragon village. The only small disadvantage is that it is some distance from the main tourist center of LIjiang, and we had a little trouble getting a taxi to agree to take us there for our first night. During the day there is excellent, frequent local bus service between Lijiang and Baisha.
"Skip Lijiang, stay at Baisha!"

I'd heard Lijiang was overly-touristy, but I didn't understand how bad it was until I'd seen it for myself. It's an endless supply of over-priced hotels, cafes and shops. I paid 160 for a sub-par room in Old Town. The next night, I paid 120 to stay at Baisha Holiday Resort – a paradise. You get a truer sense for the community there, with the Naxi Embroidery center right down the street and very friendly locals on every corner. There are cafes and local-flavor restaurants in walking distance, and other villages and sights can be accessed via a quick ride on the No.6 bus. The rooms themselves are comfortable, with heated mattresses, soft robes and towels, hot showers and traditional furnishings. I got so much more for less money here. For the best advice on what to do in the village or how to get to your next destination, ask the owners Charlie or Bruce, or one very helpful young lady at the front desk named Rita. She loves to travel and hike, too, so her advice was perfectly suited to me!

We loved this hotel -- definitely different from the generic concrete and glass Chinese hotels. We were welcomed warmly to the hotel by Rita and staff, sharing delicious meals with them. Thank you so much. We had a great view of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from our spacious and beautifully furnished room. If you want to stay in a quiet, pleasant, interesting hotel out of the busy centre of Lijiang, this is it!
"Great hotel in a lovely village"

We chose to be away from the crowds of LIzhang and try the smaller village of Baisha for a night. The hotel is new, clean and has a lovely ambiance in accordance with the local architecture and furnishings with appealing wood work and carving typical of this region. We felt it was great value for the money. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and sweet to us and assisted us with travel arrangements, translation etc...
"I’d like to stay here forever"
11/09/13 Cherry C Wenzhou, China
I fell in love with Baisha Holiday Resort Lijiang at the first sight. It really gave me great enjoyment in my last 4-day amazing autumn trip. The typical Naxi architectural style, the clean and antique rooms, the special decoration, the ancient furniture, well-equipped entertainments and facilities as well as the hospitalized waiters, which gave me unforgettable memory. Thanks a lot for helping me carry the heavy luggage and other attentive service. I could see the beautiful Yulong snow mountain in my window in the Snow Mountain View Deluxe Suite. How wonderful it was! I really enjoyed having the spa, listening to the local music and talking with those kind Lijiang people after a day's tired trip. More importantly, the Naxi culture and snacks there added much fun in my merry journey, so special, so nice. I ‘d love to stay in such a heavenly place forever, even do nothing but just enjoy the warm sunshine, nothing could be better. Maybe I will go back again some day.
"A Homelike and Fatastic place"
10/09/13 Joy_H886 Lijiang, China
This summer, I came to Lijiang with two friends. Baisha Holiday Resort was the place where we have stayed three days. I have to say, it's so fatastic and unforgettable. The location, the room, the food, the people there, all of them are best. But the most important is that, it was the first time I felt the real freedom and relax in my heart. I didn't need to think about the work, the relationship. I could see the Yulong snow mountain in my room. I was so surprised to see glistening white snow in such a summer day. There was a pretty girl who was unsophisticated and enthusiastic. She told me many things about Naxi Peole and the custom, as well as tought us some Naxi language which we were very interested in. What;s more, we happened to spend the Torch Festival. The 24th june of lunar calendar is the most ceremonious torch festival of yi nationality, so does Naxi. We had a very good time that night. We standing around to dancing, there was a big turch in the center. It was the first time that I found we can play so happily and self-forgetfully with the people you were not familiar. It was a homelike and fatastic resort and we had a pleasant time. Joy October 10, 2013
"Nice Chinese (NanXi) Style Hotel But be Aware of..."
07/26/13 A_World_Wonderer Maryland
The hotel picked us up at the airport and welcomed us late night. we were upgraded to a room upstairs. The room was nice and had a big bathroom. We especially liked the shower area with the lights heating up the area and spacious. But the water was either burning hot or cold. There is a TV but never worked not that we really needed to watch TV. We really liked the beautiful Chinese style (NanXi) environment with a view of the Yulong snowy dragon mountain. As the other customer mentioned the kitty there was very playful and cute. However, please be aware the hotel will try to pressure you to visit the Embroidery Institute nearby and purchase their art products. I think the hotel is getting a commission by selling the embroidery arts. They were too aggressive. I don't like that at all. Also, we are not sure where Charlie the owner is even though we received all the emails with his signature on them. In my opinion, it is a nice countryside hotel with a local flavor but if they want to open their doors to the international customers they have some work to do.
