"Good value for a discount price!"
We are 4 adults, stayed for 6 nights in 2 rooms. This hotel is located in a financial district, a stone throw away from metro station Kayabacho. A number of small restaurants, cafes, noodle houses and convenient stores are accessible within few minutes walk. The streets are quieter after office hours which we appreciate very much. We didn't hear noises […] from the streets. The rooms and bathrooms are tiny as per usual Japanese standard, but compact and functional. Bathroom facilities are updated with soaking tub, shower head and washlet, except it does not have an exhaust fan. Residual smell and dampness can linger for a quite a while. The bed is comfortable. It is between a twin and a double size, not entrely wide. Beddiings and towels are clean and fresh. The room in general is not as clean as it should be. Dust can be seen inside the light covers and on top of mirror frame. Laundry room has 2 washer and dryer, and there is a kitchenetter with microwave. Both these rooms have poor ventilation. The breakfast provided has only 2 options. It could be more interesting if there are more variations especially for longer stay guests. Front desk service is great eventhough in limited English. Overall we are satisfied with our stay, but would have found it pricey had we not been offered a deep discount. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Only two mins walk to subway. Quiet place to stay but convenient to everywhere by subway.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Easy access to Tokyo Metro Tozai and Hibiya Line"
Just as others have commented, the rooms are SMALL. Hotels.com advertised that this hotel could sleep up to 4 people in one double room so we reserved 2 rooms for a famiily of 5. However, this was not the case when we arrived and the hotel almost did not let us stay due to their strict 2 person per room policy. After I showed them the listing on Hotels.com […] with the numbe of people they claimed the manager let us stay in the 2 rooms we reserved. Hotels.com also issued us a credit for the inconvenience. The hotel staff was very gracious (as everyone in Japan was) and helpful with any questions/requests. They also placed us in 2 rooms next to each other. The rooms were very clean and the air condition worked perfectly. The location of the hotel is not on a main road so we did pass it up when we were first searching for it. But it is just around the corner from exit #7 of the Tozai metro line so it was EXTREMELY convenient.. The free breakfast isn't much if you are from Texas like us and are used to a full plate! But it was free so we appreciated to have something in our belly in the morning. The American coffee offered was EXCELLENT! There is a very convenient Family Mart around the corner that also sells hot foods and packaged sandwiches if you need an extra something. The hotel is also about a 10 minute walk from the TCAT bus line, not bad at all. I would recommend this hotel if you have a famiily of 4 or less unless you want to rent more than 2 rooms! Great hotel, cheap but clean, friendly staff, free WiFi in the room, and literaly 2 minutes from the subway stop. The room was very small but I just needed a place to sleep not to hangout. The breakfast was also small but you have a 7Eleven accross the street if you're still hungry. I would definitely go back.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
very friendly and helpful staff, convenient location to getting around the Tokyo area via the subway systemGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Budget option for a short stay"
The price is great, especially if you only need a room for a night or two. The rooms are mostly clean, but not as clean as other Japanese hotels. It's a budget hotel and that's what you should expect. The location feels out of the way (my taxi driver couldn't find it so dropped me off at the Metro station), but Metro access is easy.Genuine Expedia guest review
Staying in this hotel was a very good decision. The hotel was big and easy to locate. The kayabacho station was really close. The room was clean and they provided many free gifts like razors, cleaning kit, tooth brush, and lots of shampoo conditioner and liquid soap. It was spotless and comfortable. Small but that is expected in Tokyo. The staff spoke […] little English but they were very helpful and patient. The breakfast was yummy. I would definitely come back to the Sotetsu Fresa inn. "Perfect for sightseeing in Tokyo"
Everything they have on their website is absolutely true. Great location, easy access, very nice on your wallet, comes with a bunch of free amenities (all you'd need is money and clothes really if you stay here… pocket wifi would also be a good idea), and the service is beyond exceptional. Loved it. Size is great for one or two people, or a small family […] of 3 (4 max). But for Tokyo proportions it's great. Free breakfast is definitely worth a few bucks which makes it great, and all the amenities, and there are so so many, are a great addition. The staff are friendly, helpful, and willing to work with your stumbling or non-existent Japanese skills. Love this hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Front reception staffs are very disappointed."
Kids don't come with free breakfast, only adults do, which it didn't say in the descriptions. I booked this hotel tow adults and one 4 years old kid, when we ware going to breakfast in the morning, they told me the kid don't come with free breakfast included in the room. I have either pay extra for the kid or the kid will watch us eating breakfast. […] what kind of hotel is this?? when you say come with free breakfast it should mean it, when I was booking this hotel, I booked for 3 people, not 2. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good clean stay"
The staff was lovely and polite always. The rooms are typically small as our most in Japan. That they are impeccably clean, and there is a range of bath amenities which is great! Back Celton different sense, razors, hair brushes, shampoo, conditioner, bath soap, a kit for the ladies that includes a hairclip, etc. Breakfast was included every day and […] was simple but adequate. The choice of bread eggs a small salad and a coffee or drink. The chain station is literally right around the corner and we were able to get from my room and onto a train in about three minutes. Our van had in the refrigerator and water boiler, TV and air conditioner. Everything worked great. Has an actual bathtub! Small but deep. You have to be in by 11 PM at a locked door and then you can use your room key to get in. It's a great place to stay if all you need is a clean, kind place to sleep and store your stuff. The highlight each night was the bath with peach scented salts. The location is near Kayabacho and Nihonbashi stations. We would stay again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Fine for me, but l was on my own- Room was small."
It was a very comfortable hotel but be aware that the rooms are very small. I was on my own but if there had been two people in the room, then there would have been a problem. Price for Tokyo was very good indeed. The bed was very comfortable and the location was very convenient around the corner from a subway station. Provided a reasonable breakfast […] in the price. Please be aware if you are using Google maps, it will send you to the wrong hotel about a mile away, it did not identify this property despite entering the complete correct name. "Good room, okay location, poor staff"
The room was what you would expect for the price range in Tokyo. Small certainly, but that is the way it goes in Tokyo. It was clean and new enough. No complaints there. Location is a little out of the way, which seems to be why the price is a little lower. But still close to a station that connects quick to Tokyo Station.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good value for price"
Very satisfied with hotel. Very clean, correct for the price. Bathroom is small but very clean, many bathrooms tend to be this capsule bathroom kind of like in a boat. Electronic toilet a plus. Women get a special amenities bag with hair clip, hair tie, and facial products. other free amenities include q-tips, comb, tooth brush with toothpaste - a nice […] welcomed touch. Hot water tea kettle, slippers, pj's, hair dryer, etc, all the basics you need. Breakfast is free continental : croissant, yogurt, and salad with coffee or drink. Good amenities included, free wifi, 1 min to Kayabacho subway station which is a really great advantage when it's cold outside! Hotel thinks of small details, a very pleasant stay. I would definitely stay here again for the price, location, cleanliness, and staff is very friendly and nice. Great value! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great with caveats"
Hotel was very clean, minus the mildew smell after the first shower. This may only be for my particular room and I was not bothered by it much. This may be more to do with personal tolerances for smell and that for the money Sotetsu Kayabacho is a wonderful deal. If you travel with JR Pass you will require several short subway trips on Tokyo Metro to […] get to a JR accessible station. Costs for short subway trips to maximize JR Pass may quickly add up. Otherwise, Exit 7 for Kayabacho station is a very short trip around the corner. If you need help calling somewhere, the front desk will not help you. Otherwise they are very polite. This place also has a laundromat with detergent automatically loaded. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Convenient Location and great price"
We loved the location. One block from Kayabacho subway station which is only 2 stops from Tokyo station or a about 15 minute walk. "Good location, easy access"
We had three nights in Tokyo on our way to Beijing. This place allowed us to get around the city easily on the subway. The room is small. I understand this is normal for Tokyo, but more than a few days would be hard. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was fine. We took the skyliner train and subway to and from Narita airport. […] That was easy and cost effective. We paid for the breakfast. That made the morning routine easy. It was fine, but very simple: It is a bit of salad, a nice roll and either a hardboiled egg or 1/4 cup of yogert. Choice of coffee, tea, juice. It was fine for my husband and I, but big eaters might be disappointed. Some english spoken. Friendly and helpful staff. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great option for a short stay"
Easy access to most sites in Tokyo. Very friendly and helpful staff. The connected cafe has some of the best coffee you will find in Japan. Be careful when reserving the rooms online, they can be deceivingly small. Although the "semi-double" room advertises space for two adults and a child, consider the size comparison (i.e., we are an American family, […] and I am 6'4" and 225lbs). When we upgraded to the "twin room" with two beds, the comfort was far better. If you have a lot of luggage though, do not expect much room for storage or even floor space for your bags. This is common in Japanese hotels though. Overall, know that we know what size of room we need, we would certainly stay here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
This is a japanese hotel for business men. I like the free breakfast and location of the hotel for subway use. Very small, but if you're on a budget, it's great. The bed is smaller than a double for two people, but it's fine.Genuine Expedia guest review

"HOTELS.COM Provided the WRONG Location"
It was frustrating finding the hotel because Hotels.com provided the wrong address. There are many Fresa Hotels in Tokyo. It is a big chain. Not knowing Japanese resulted in an exhausting and frustrating search for the hotel. Visited Tokyo for one night, and enjoyed this hotel. Close to subway station which I wish we had used earlier as it wasn't too difficult to figure out which one to get one and is SO MUCH CHEAPER THAN A TAXI! From the hotel we took a taxi to the City View Tower and it was about $20 USD one way whereas taking public transit would have probably been about […] $2 USD. We stayed in a "Semi-Double" room, it was very small, but hey that's the style here I guess. It had everything you needed and was clean. I liked that they offered breakfast and would definitely recommend this hotel to friends. The price wasn't too bad either- I think total it was $77 USD. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

I decided to stay at this hotel with my friend during our brief visit to Japan, and I have to say it was quite nice, despite being somewhat small (though I've been told to expect that). "Convenient comfort in Nihombashi"
Located steps from the Tokyo Subway and easy to get around from this location. The staff is super friendly and the beds are more comfortable than most of the Japanese beds I've slept in. "Very good location on a budget"
Very good impression of the hotel overall, especially the location which is just a very short walk from Tokyo Metro Kayabacho station. Very easy to go to most places in Tokyo. Great hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room is a standard sized room for Japan (small) but well appointed. Internet connection was good and he speed was reasonable. vending machines, ice machine, microwave and laundry available. Breakfast was fine, not out of this world but the coffee was nice and the croissant very good. Great whiskey […] bar across the street, only 5 or 6 seats but worth a visit. We walked to Ginza and the fish market, maybe a couple km but if you enjoy walking it is a pleasant walk. No shopping close by but plant of places to get a feed or a drink. Close to subway station. "Good location, but very small rooms"
Good things about this hotel: - One block away from Kayabacho metro station with connections everywhere, and three blocks from Nihonbashi station with even more connections (which even have a train that goes to the airport with no change). - Neighbourhood is quiet if that is what you would like. - Hotel staff is friendly and rooms are quiet. - Breakfast […] is not that great, but included in the price and what they give is more than enough. Bad things about the hotel: - Rooms are very small. We have stayed in small rooms in Hotels in Tokyo, but this was smaller. - Hotel is a business hotel, which seems to be focused on late night workers who will stay overnight. For them, I believe the hotel is perfect. The Sotetsu Fresa Inn Nihombashi-Kayabacho was the first hotel that we stayed in during a ten day trip to Tokyo, Kyoto, and Hiroshima. Although there aren't any major Tokyo sights within […] walking distance from the hotel, the Kayabacho subway station is literally around the corner, allowing for easy and quick access to all of Tokyo's main sights and neighborhoods. The staff is very friendly and there are lots of amenities if needed - we were able to borrow much-needed umbrellas for no charge during a super rainy day.
