Amanzoe - Athens (and vicinity)

Rooms were great! Very Clean. All bathrooms have now been renovated, beds were very comfortable, and having original hardwood floors was a cozy touch. TVs are a little outdated and the only clear channel I could get was CNN...ugh. But for me this hotel had a perfect combination of everything I was looking for. Parking nearby(if you can find an open spot), in the clean, historic district of Plaka, newer bathrooms and nice beds, decent breakfast as well as free coffee and biscuits throughout the day, excellent views from a rooftop terrace, and 2 free hours of wifi in the rooms(1 euro per hour after that). This hotel was just right with the right price. Very nice without being over the top. I was also told by a local restaurant owner that you have great bargaining power with the hotel in the slow season(Dec.-March, June & September)

Hotel staff was very helpful, location is near two metro stations.

I faced a serious problem with airlines on my way back home to India and had to stay back at Atalos hotel for a day. The help I received from the 3 Receptionists of the hotel can only be compared with your own family members. I will never forget Atalos.Moreover, easy location, Surrounded by eateries. Subway is like next door. Clean and comfortable. The only negetive issue was the same breakfast every day. They can improve it.

The hotel is excellent; recently renovated with comfortable beds, very clean and extremely friendly and helpful staff. The neighborhood is not the best one, but you should not have any problems. The metro station is really close and there are taxis 24/7.
