We loved our stay at the B&B Via Punta.
The Apartment is located just outside of Bologna in very lovely, quiet and tranquil area surrounded by green fields. We were greeted by the host, Frederica, who was very kind and hospitable throughout our stay.
The whole apartment was lovely, very clean and pleasant. The amenities were modern and it was a pleasure to wake up and have breakfast on the balcony each morning.
We would definitely recommend a stay at the B&B Via Punta, perfect for relaxing vacation.
The B+B was very nice. Nice and quiet area. I really enjoyed my stay there, people were really friendly and did their best to make us comfortable. The only downside is that its a it out of the way so there are no shops near by etc. It didnt make so much difference for us
A great trip, and a warm welcome at B&B Via Punta 8, already at the airport by our host Federica, who arranged transportation to and from the airport too, and was willing to store our big bicycle bags for a week. Very nice place, cosy, quiet and comfortable. Good breakfast too! Ideal as a start for a bicycle trip. From there we cycled to Bologna, took the train to Cesena and made a bicycle tour passing Sogliana al Rubicone, Verùcchio, San Marino, Urbino, Pennabili, Monte Fumaiolo, Bagno di Romagna, Passo dei Mandrioli, Pietrapazzo, Santa Sofia, Predappio, Castrocaro Terme, Forlì and back on the train to Bologna. One of the best parts of Italy!!
Isolated location so very quiet but near the city so with a car or a short bus ride, you are there. Host awesome, and property TOP!
view from the balcony is great and the garden to which you have full access is big and occupied by two very friendly dogs so there is really not much to not like!
I stayed here a few years back when traveling with my aging mother. We enjoyed the stay, it was our first stop in Italy. The hostess is a lovely person and made our stay quite memorable.
We went to Bologna for business reason, and truly saying we didn't expect much from our accommodation - just some peace after a heavy day. To our surprise we found in "via punta 8" more then a clean something next to the big city. This place has it's own soul thanks to some characteristic design details and photograms made by the owner. Breakfast - never had such a rich buffet in Italy before! You know what I mean - instead of biscuits and filter coffee - a wide choice of yoghourts, prosciutto crudo, cornflakes, jams etc.
If you think about going to Bologna don't stay in one of "beautiful" hotels inside the town, stay in via punta 8 and feel the spring! (or summer, or autumn:))
This year our holidays took us to Cortona (IT) where we had rented a villa with pool near the historic city centre... The villa was available for us on Saturday, but to avoid traffic, we decided to leave our home ( Belgium ) on Thursday evening, drive all night and book one more stay somewhere along the road towards Cortona...
After looking at several B&Bs we stumbled onto the Via Punta 8... website... where the 2 rooms on the 1st floor ( with shared terrass and bathroom ) were still available for that particular night.
As we were 5 persons ( me, my wife and child and another couple ) this was perfect for us... one of both rooms had a double + single bed so our boy could sleep in our room. Having the shared terrass was great, especially as both rooms with access to the terrass were occupied by my company.
The B&B is situated very near to the Airport (don't worry... the plains don't fly over the B&B, so noise is not an issue ) and Tangenziale of Bologna, so can be reached very easily... Although it is very near the Bologna city centre, it is located in farmlands and has an entry that looks like a private residence... ( with automatic gate etc... )...
The rooms were tastefully decorated & very spacious and as clean as the bathroom... The breakfast was served on the outside patio and gave us all we needed to continue our journey to Cortona.
And last but not least, the host ( Federica ) was very friendly and helpful and she spoke English fluently, something that can't be said of most Italians...
So, my family and I can really recommend you Via Punta 8...
My husband and I spent 3 weeks driving round the North of Italy for our honeymoon. We arrived at Via Punta 8 on a sunny afternoon, the 2nd of 6 destination stops. At first glance, we were a little surprised to see that the surrounding area looked a little 'unfinished' but upon closer inspection you can see that its a new development and crops are still waiting to bloom - in a year or 2 it will be a spectacular area. We arrived and was greeted by a friendly face who welcomed us. We booked the room in the 'eves' which is a double room including en-suite shower room on the top floor. It was nice to have a few simple touches like flowers and water in our room upon arrival. The owner is a young lady who also lives at the B&B (but in a totally seprate area). We liked this as it gave a more homely feel to the place. The other rooms were on the 1st floor, with a shared bathroom and were also decorated tastefully and looked very comfortable. The owner has a very friendly and sweet dog. Breakfast was very good, with home made cakes, and plenty of choice. The B&B is a short bus ride away from the centre of Bologna. If were were to go to Bologna again, I would book Via Punta 8 for a 2nd time.
